Terrible service. Will never bring my car back here again. This is the worst tire shop I've been to in my life. I brought my car in last year for a standard tire rotation. No issues. Folks at America's tire did the tire rotation and included the wheel balancing without me having to ask. Came in about a month ago for another due tire rotation. Made an appointment online for a tire rotation and balance. Now I'm not a car person, but I've been driving a car for several decades. Every place I've brought it to for a tire rotation has automatically given me a wheel balance without having to ask. This time the person checking me in asked me if I wanted the wheel balance. I said I have no idea what that is but give me what they gave me last time (turns out they just give me the rotation) I came back about a couple of hours later, drove the car off the lot and I can hear this very noticeable rattling sound. I immediately bring the car back. I'm told that because I didn't specific that I wanted the wheel balance (even though that's what I put in my reservation) is it's probably why it's rattling. So they take the car back after waiting another hour the balance is done. I take the car off the lot, still rattling. Bring it immediately back. I show them several videos. They now have 3 people looking at it, including the manager. They each take out my car and notice the rattling sound. At this point, it's been 5+ hours. The manager says they can't figure out what's the issue and I need to take it back to the dealer but they will "cover it." I make sure this is documented in my file and I get a hardcopy of the results. It takes me over a week to take it back to the dealer due to them being busy but they can't find anything wrong with it after a full inspection (also it randomly stops the rattling sound literally after I pull into the dealer's lot). So now I'm out $400 and I provide the invoice to America's Tire but the owner then tells me that they said they would only cover the cost if it was "damaged." Since the dealer didn't find anything wrong, they wouldn't reimburse me even though they clearly did something wrong to my car as it didn't rattle before they worked on it and had **3** people look at it. After going back and forth, they offered me a discount on a new set of tires but my car is less than a year old. I won't need a new set of tires for another couple of years. No thanks--given this experience, I'm just going to take my cars elsewhere given the level of service and the experience I had with Dublin America's Tire. read more

Free Tire rotation is a scam. I bought my car asking for tire rotation, which should be free as i bought tires from the same store. But instead I was greeted with some sales pitch asking me to replace all 4 tires, even thought he said the tire cannot claim warranty because it is too new. I asked then why do I need to change them. They said it is at a borderline 4/32 thread depth and it is best to replace them. I measure them at home at they are between 4/32 to 5/32, should be enough to last 5K more. I told them I just need Tire rotation, they refused to do it. I said what about the "free" tire rotation promise? Apparently this shop is getting more greedy and I'll never visit this store again. Dishonest business. Called for a quote on Weds. 8/16 and was given a price of $1196 for 4 tires. This was a price match on the cost of a tire from Ford dealership. Manager on duty in the evening gave this price. Says even without an appointment, if you came in when they open the entire job would be completed in an hour or less. On 8/17, my daughter goes in, waits for an hour to even be helped. Then, the manager on day shift gives a price for $1321 and will not honor what the evening shift manager offered. He even had the nerve to say he was the one on duty the previous night and only offered an apology but no price change. Get everything in writing if you want to use this place but recommend avoiding. Dishonest and don't do what they say they are going to do. Wasted our time. read more

First, I had made an appointment online at a different location and showed up to the wrong location I made the appointment to. Jeff took me in anyway even though they were short staffed and were completely booked. My front tire had a small screw in it and the technicians were able to remove and repair my tire free of charge. I went in to America's Tires after work on Tuesday, April 22nd. I had wanted to get my tire patched. I met with MAX and he examined my car's tires. The one with the nail in the tire, that needed patching was ok. The other three needed replacing. MAX told me that he would NOT be able to patch my tire up (even though the tire that needed to be repaired was in ok condition) because of safety reasons and that I could purchase tires and the service team could put them on. I declined and walked out because I knew what game he was trying to run-- for me to purchase tires. No where on the website does it say that, that in order for a tire to be patched up , the remaining tires would need to be in fair condition. It just reads that the tire that needs to be repaired , should be in fair condition, which it was. I spoke with my boyfriend and explained to him what had happened. He called down there and spoke with another gentleman that said "our techs wouldn't say that she couldn't get her one tire replaced if THE OTHERS weren't in good condition and that if the tire with the nail in it was in good condition (mine was) that it could be patched up." I'm not a liar. I asked MAX twice to verify what I was hearing and he told me emphatically that he couldn't repair the tire (even though it was in fair condition) because the others weren't. My other three tires haven't been changed in six years, so i understood there tread level was subpar, but the tire with the nail was a replaced tire and was good enough to be worked on. If you're a woman, please be mindful when coming here. I typically don't go without a man (boyfriend, brother in law, dad) because some people like to pull a fast one and take advantage. Was getting my tires changed across the street at America's Tire, (we have an account at America's Tire for our fleet). I pulled up, saw this kid helping a woman reset her car's digital counter. Everything about this kid said, "I -am- America's Tire, and yes, approach me about our biz, and after I'm done with this customer, I will be ecstatic to help you!" I felt compelled to comply. He saw me looking his way. After the lady got in her car, looked at the gauges, smiled n said the sweeeetest, "thank you," he started walking towards me. "Hi! What can I help you with?" I saw the line inside. I thought to myself, "if I say anything other than, I'm looking to put a new set of tires on this car," then I'd be doing my boss and I a great disservice. He said, "no problem. have you ever shopped here before?" When we got inside, there was a tall, slightly overweight man behind the counter. Maybe my spidey-sense needs recalibtating, but I could swear I sensed a scowl, or some sort of animosity. I gave him our work number, he plotted it in,... "whoa! you guys got a lot of cars with us." Then that maddoggin' meeaaan-scowling man became oh-so-nice. He was luvy duvy. Knowing it was lunch time, and knowing that my body was craving either some sort of burrito or burger, I asked Alex, "where can I get a burger or burrito around here?" He pointed to the pizza shop across the street. "You gotta try their pizza. I tell everyone about that place. They got awesome pizza. They make it however you want. I took my Model X to America's Tire at Dublin CA as it had a flat. I was anxious as it was a new car with large tires. The staff were very professional and courteous. The waiting area was large and clean. The service was completed ahead of schedule and they sent me text updates. I was shown to my car when it was ready and when I told the tech, I had not paid, he politely said the service was FREE. They even checked my other wires and filled up the air. Can you believe that something is FREE these days with no strings attached!!! They only wish you would come to them when you need new tires. After this experience, I would gladly go to them. My wife brought our car to this shop for a single replacement. For context, we only have 20k miles on a 2023 car and the tire had a hole in it. The employees tried pressuring my wife to replace ALL four tires, and fear-mongered that it's very unsafe and would ruin our transmission if she didn't. Very stereotypical trying to upsell a woman with fear and hoping she wouldn't know any better, then acting irritated when she didn't agree to it. We took the car to the Chevy dealership the next day and they told us the single replacement is perfectly fine(only 1mm difference between the tires) and the other 3 tires still have 20-30k miles left. I owned a Honda Accord Hybrid. 10 weeks ago, I replaced all 4 tires as they were worn out. It might be my mistake no to choose tire specified by Honda. Instead I chose tire seem like a better choice at that time. I drove for 10 weeks (about 1500 miles) and realized the fuel efficiency went down by 20% (from 44 mpg to 35 mpg). Therefore, I decided to step in and was thinking "how much can I get back to trade in almost brand new tires". Surprisingly, Andrew (and Josh) offered full credit and cheaper certificates for the new tires. At the end, I did pay more to cover the difference between the price between two different sets of tires. Take away messages: 1. This is a great shop with good persons. 2. I am very surprised that Honda Accord Hybrid is highly calibrated with tire for it performance. This is something that I need to look into it. read more

Thank goodness for the certificate I purchased when buying my tires from them, they really cover you in all situations no questions asked! We walked in on Saturday, September 17th to get 2 rear tires on (one had a screw in it so there was a donut on my back left). Andrew B was seemingly friendly up until my boyfriend gave him his number. He entered it incorrectly and didn't pull up an account (of course). That's when his attitude changed. He immediately made us feel stupid when he was the one who entered it incorrectly. Then tried to pull it up through address and since my boyfriend has the same name as his dad, it pulled up the same name. He repeated the number for that account and got upset when it wasn't his number. Then saw the CORRECT number listed under the account and rather than politely apologizing for mishearing us, he just continued to try to make us look and sound stupid. Once we finally had the account pulled up, I made sure to VERY CLEARLY state the year, make, and model so there was no doubt as to what was being said. He walked out with us to get the tire size and while he was at it, asked if we needed wipers. I politely stated we were okay, thank you and he, very condescendingly, stated "well it's going to rain so are you sure it's just 12 bucks" and I, again, politely stated we will be doing it on our own. When we went back inside, he "under his breath" stated that we needed wipers to his coworker, but said no as if talking crap to his friend. I have always (before this) had a pleasant experience with quick service and decent to great customer service. As I am a manager within the Customer Service industry with years of experience under my belt, it truly bothers me when it's very clear that just a little bit of extra customer service training could correct/prevent situations such as these. read more

Maybe it's just this America's tires in Dublin. Bc I go to the one in Modesto all the time and I'm in and out. Longest I've waited there was maybe 30 minutes. I went to this location after work bc I had a nail in my tire and had to get it repaired before I headed over the altamont back home. Maybe it's bc I came in for a free service and that's why I had to wait 3.5+hours. Also, I walked in and out the lobby several times to get fresh air and grab food and almost everytime I came back in, there were a set of new customers waiting for their cars. Don't offer free services at your place of business if you're going to treat those customers differently. I get it, business is business. But if that's the type of customer care you're giving, take out the free service. And the gentleman told me that most these customers had appointments. But someone came in 25 minutes late for their appointment and still was serviced before others. Pictures will show I was checked in at 2:32pm but my arrival time was put to 4:59pm. When they finally serviced my car at 5:22pm, it was completed by 5:43pm. A service so quick, took 3+ hours to wait for. Do better. read more

This was my second visit to America's Tire. I went there to have tires replaced on my RV. The first visit was for the front. The second visit was for the rear dualies. The first visit went great. They knew where to place the jack to lift the RV. You can't just lift them any ol' place. The removed, replaced, balanced, and installed the tires with zero problems. Not a scratch on the aluminum wheels. They even knew to place the balance weights on the side of the wheel that faces the RV so they're not visible and what the correct air pressure of the tires are supposed to be. Pretty much perfect. It was two guys doing the work. I definitely got the "A" team. Took less than an hour. The second visit did not go as well. I sat in the waiting area in a position where I could see the team working. This time there were 4 service people working on the order. Made sense, a person per tire. From the start it was clear this team was not the "A" team. I'm not sure if they were even the "C" team. No one seemed to know exactly what to do as far as the lift points were concerned. There was what looked to be someone supervising the group. He was able to finally show the team where the lift points are (you can't just lift it by the axel) and were able to lift the RV and get the tires off. Once the tires were off, they brought them in and started the replacement. Took forever. Ok, not forever. Just much longer than the front two tires. And none of the service folks seemed to have a real grasp on what they were doing. I thought they might be new hires. I didn't mind that. They were asking questions and getting the work done. When they were done, it seemed to take a lot of discussion to get the tire back on. I'm thinking they are trying to get the orientation right. You should mount dualies with the stems 180º across from each other. They finally finish up and give me my keys. I do a cursory inspection, all looks good. Except they put the weights on the exposed side of the rim? Ummm.... Not what I had in mind. But I gotta get home, so I figure "There must be a reason they were installed that way. I can deal with it.." and i leave. After getting home I notice the valve stems are not orientated correctly. Each side is not even installed with the same orientation. It's OK, this happens. I give them a call, explain the situation, and they tell me to bring it by first thing in the morning and they will correct it. Cool. Visit #3. I bring it in at 8AM. Explain the problem again. And they tell me it will be taken care of. Since the wheels will be off, I asked that they move the weights to the side of the wheel that faces the RV. They said they they would correct that too. All seems good. Until the work begins. This time it's Just two guys. But it starts off rocky. One the guys rolls to the back of RV but both to where the lift point are. He's on the wrong side of the axel looking for where to lift the RV from. I could have sworn these two guys were on the team that replaced te tires the day before. Concerned, I go out and ask if anyone told them about the lift point on an RV. I received a couple of blank stares and a little bit of mumbling. I leave them and they go find the guy that advised the group from the day before. He shows them where the lift points are. Even after that, they both still seemed confused (maybe that was just my imagination), so I felt I needed to go back out to confirm they were clear on what they needed to do. They said yes and I left them to it. RV gets lifted. Outer tires get removed and brought in for re-balancing. The weights are placed on the "Correct" side of the wheel and the wheels are reinstalled on the RvV in the correct orientation. Took almost as long to get that done as it did to get the four tire replaced the day before. All's good, right? not exactly. After inspecting the work, I find one of the service people did not clamp the rim in the balancer tight enough. This allowed the rim to spin freely and the clamp to scratch the surface of the rim. These are polished aluminum wheels, so the marks are very noticeable. The scratches are not deep. I should be able to polish them out. But, still. Plus they filled all four tires to 80 psi instead of checking the sticker on the door for the correct tire pressure, which is 61 psi. I get that them dealing with an RV is a one-off. I get that some of the service folks are not going to know how to deal with it. I don't even mind if my RV is used in their training. But I doubt if I will ever go back to this particular America's Tire location. read more

10 stars!! Took my Kia Carnival in tonight at 5pm after hitting a pothole on Vasco. Greeted immediately upon walking in by Evan. He confirmed it would need to be replaced, looked up our account and found the tire in stock. We were expecting to have to wait until tomorrow for the repair when he pleasantly surprised us with saying it could be done tonight. Two energetic young men replaced the tires and rotated the others. We were out of there in 45 min. Another observation I made was how upbeat all of the staff was, from the front room to the shop. I chose this tire shop primarily because I needed both tire replacement and alignment done, and wanted to streamline the process rather than going to separate places. After reading positive Yelp reviews and having a helpful conversation with Julio over the phone, I felt confident in my decision. However, my experience took a disappointing turn during my appointment. Despite already knowing the make of my car before my appointment, they couldn't complete the alignment due to a missing OEM part. This was particularly frustrating as it was my first time buying tires, and I relied on their expertise to guide me through the process. It felt like a bait-and-switch tactic. I would have 100% opted for Costco, given their better warranty and deals (they provide a 5 yr warranty on tires vs with this place you have to pay an additional fee for an extended warranty), for the tire purchase and elsewhere for alignment had I known they couldn't provide both services. Furthermore, the person I worked with offered to leave me one of my tires as a spare since they weren't all worn out. However, when I got my car back, I was already so frustrated with them that I just drove right home, only to realize they hadn't left my spare tire with me. So even that small detail just added to the inconvenience and frustrations I've had with this place. In the end, while the tires themselves are of decent quality, the overall experience left me feeling very frustrated and disappointed. I honestly felt like they just got me through the door to purchase tires by promising the alignment, only to upsell me on the more expensive service without disclosing the inability to perform the alignment until after the tires were replaced. There wasn't really any consolation for the inconvenience either. It was hard to talk to the other representative who was issuing my refund for the alignment, so I wasn't able to express my disappointment to them, which was also just annoying. I felt like a very low priority now that my one service had been done and paid for. Next time, I'll be more cautious in my choice and ensure that the shop can deliver on the services promised. read more

After being turned away at 2:30 at their San Ramon location; I immediately called Dublin. Tom (later saw his business card as I checked in that he's the manager) told me to come by as soon as possible and to expect to wait until after they close at 5:00 pm. Of course it was fine with me. I just want to be safe especially since I have my girls with me all the time. Morgan was very friendly when I checked in and after inspecting my tire, then tires; I realized I needed to replace at least 3 of them. Apparently I haven't driven too much the last two years compared to previous years. That makes sense due to Covid. After going over numbers and my credit due to my tires still being under warranty; I agreed to have my tires replaced. It was cheaper than how much my husband pays at Costco. Of course the credit had a lot to do with it; but, I've been loyal to America's Tire for over 15 years (since I lived in Reno). This guy went above and beyond to find it for me, walk to get it and installed it. They worked on it for over an hour and it cost me $40. Zero complaints. First time to this location since I work nearby. Decent employees (not rude, just avg) but horrible time management. If you value your time go to a different location. Slowest service ever, even with appointments. It takes 1hr for them to put a single wheel on. A wheel That has been dropped off for a tire change, not a proper full tire change appointment, just literally a single wheel swap. Never experienced this at any other location. I have a spare set of full size wheels as spares for my vehicle, so whenever i need tire changes, I swap my wheels at home, drop them off (usually one or two at a time). When I come back for a pick up they throw them on for me, load up my spares in the trunk and I'm on my way. No waiting, no wasting their or my time. Handled super quickly. When I questioned it, he started giving me various time lines, the task of swapping a single wheel takes 20mins (not the tire, but the physical act of taking off single spare wheel and putting on your regular wheel) but Apparently it's an hour because your appointment time can be pushed back when the person ahead of you is late?? Doesn't make sense. Why didn't the person whose late gets pushed back? I still can't comprehend why it takes 20mins to swap a single wheel. I guess that's why their working at America's Tire and not in a pit stop for a F1 car lol. If you want quick service with employees & management who value your time go to the Antioch (10min for a tire patch & wheel swap, they did not want me to leave it and come back, near another work location) or Fremont (my regular location), depending on convenience area. My mother's car was brought in to put a new set of tires. Upon picking up, car was sitting in the parking lot and thought all was well. Got paperwork saying everything checked out and car was ready to drive home. There was a slight noise when pulling our car out of the parking spot but didn't think too much of it as we got the all clear to drive home and we thought it could be normal since new tires were just put on. Drove on the freeway back to Castro Valley (luckily it was 10 minutes away) but tire pressure light came on halfway through on the freeway. Got home and come to find out that the tire was actually over inflated to 75 psi - they had totally forgot to deflate the tire to the correct psi after replacing the tire. This was a very scary experience but luckily the tire did not explode while being driven on the freeway. read more

We purchased tires here a year or so ago and things were fine. But this morning I went to get into my car to find flat tire caused by a nail. I called America's tire to find out my options. I was told I didn't need an appointment and the wait time would be about an hour. Since the tire was practically flat, I couldn't even drive it to the gas station to get some air in it. My husband changed the tire to the spare and we drove over to drop it off. We were greeted immediate and got checked in. They said it would be about an hour or so and that they would contact us once it was done. I mentioned to them that it was the first time we ever pulled out the spare and it looked a bit flat. Before I even got home, I was send a link where I could see my cars status online. Within an hour, I got a text saying my car was done. I went to pick it up and that was quick and easy. There was no charge for the flat repair. They topped off the flat and even installed it back under the car. (My husband was especially happy about this since he didn't have to deal with it!). The store was clean, and spaced out with safety precaution. Staff was super friendly and did not pressure or try to upsell me anything. It was a simple pleasant way to resolve a crappy Friday morning. read more
