If zero stars was offered that is what I would mark.. My car is older. I needed tires so when the service advisor advised me, I need an alignment. It sounded believable even though I had no problems.. Regrets- No prior problem is now a big problem the wheel pulls very hard to the right. There was only one customer in the shop . Big red flag. There was three or four guys standing around behind the counter looking bored. Fortunately I didn't listen to their advice telling me that I needed new brakes. I saved myself well over $500.00 dollars. I took my car to my mechanic today that I have used for years and has always been fair and never advised" Me of things I don't need. If you have a nice car I wouldn't recommend going here. I took my car here to get 4 tires and they messed up my rims. Looks like they dropped one and knocked the clear coat off. And theres a gash line going all the way around one of them. I didnt think I needed to tell them to take care of my car or be careful, But I guess I should have. Now I have fucked up rims. They wanted me to leave my car there so they can fix it, but Im skeptical I'd rather not have more damage because they obviously cant take care of the customers cars there. Spent a fair amount for some normal service work but experience was quite disappointing. Work requested was fairly typical stuff like transmission fluid exchange, oil change, brake inspection, etc. The amount of time they said they needed vs the actual time they worked on the car was quite different (24 hrs vs 48 hrs) causing considerable inconvenience. Their reporting to me they were having problems with the work (which is fairly standard stuff) already had me questioning the competency of their staff. But a week later as I'm driving, I hear a rattling sound coming from under the hood while at a stop light. I keep driving to get home and eventually it stops. I lift the hood to investigate and I see the cover for the air filter which was changed was never latched and secured. Seriously, they couldn't the simplest job right! Now I'm dreading what else I may find due to the lack of attention to detail. If they can't even do the simple things right, how can I trust them with any future work? Also, they didn't perform the brake inspection I asked for so now I have to find another shop to take a look. read more

I am a huge fan of Big O tires. Jet took care of me today. I called ahead of time to see what the wait was like. They said the wait wasn't bad and I was done in about 40 minutes. Before I arrived, they also checked to see what tires I had purchased previously and they checked to make sure that they had them still and then they had other options for me to pick. They gave me a good explanation of the pros and cons to each. I bought the 235/40/19 Michelin cross climate tires $274 each. Apparently Teslas get very good mileage with these tires. They mentioned that there was a lady who had over 65,000 miles on these tires, but she was religious about rotating her tires every 5000 miles. I always find that the guys here work very hard to give you good options and to take care of you. I also buy the three-year warranty because everyone knows that potholes and other road mishaps can cause tire issues. They also gave me a rebate for my tire purchase. When I consider timeliness and customer service, this place is great and I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs new tires. read more

Used to be a Big O' fan of this location and referred others to it, until things went downhill. I'd recommend using Seever and Son instead, 100x. I used to respect the manager Mike, but he had become more and more condescending and confrontational towards customers, and I could see how he'd (embarrassingly) talk to female customers like they were children. I don't know why this change happened... I had four cars going through this location and had recently purchased $1,000+ worth of PS4 tires. One got a nail within a couple of weeks and I brought it by to get repaired. After repairing the tire I noticed a scrape on that wheel. I brought it right back to take a look at it, and basically Mike and one of his other front desk guys did this weird double-team job, where they were saying all my wheels had some curb rash etc (they were all perfect! lol). It's like they try to gaslight you to get out of mistakes (they never even asked the tech about it, so what does that tell you?). Fine, I didn't have solid evidence, and didn't want to blame someone else without knowing 100% it was their fault, so I let it go and had the wheel repaired under my own cost. Some time later I brought the car by to do its 5,000 mile tire rotation, and I asked Mike to come out and look at the wheels. I just wanted to do a pre-service inspection so there would be no questions later, or bad feelings, if a mistake happened. Seems reasonable? He started acting all confused why I would ask for such a thing. I said, just so it's all clear beforehand that the wheels are undamaged. Then he started getting a bit loud and saying that I was being picky if I didn't want parts being scratched during service. I was like, "you all can't do a tire rotation without damaging wheels?". Years ago Mike bragged at how they had high-end equipment so as not to damage local Ferrari and Lamborghini customer wheels, and now one is being picky if you don't want your car damaged? At that point I just told Mike, "I think we are done" and left. Just be wary of who you are dealing with, because if things go south, the behavior quickly becomes bizarre. I told this story to an old-timer car guy I know, and WOW the stories he started sharing of this location when things went wrong. I consider myself very lucky. Oh, even better, is when I put in a complaint to Big O corporate about Mike's behavior, these just repeatedly go to him instead of anyone above him. What a joke. read more

I bring my car here quite often and I would've absolutely given them a five star review except for the fact I thought that they didn't fill up my tires. I just got two brand new tires last week. They told me I needed an alignment and gave me an early appointment to come back. Dropped off my car. They called me back within less than two hours to let me know that it was ready. That was impressive. The only problem is when I picked up my car, tires showed low on air. Out of anything that you would do, to leave me low on air at a tire shop is preposterous. I don't expect for perfection , but the fact is, I did tell TECH ahead of time that the car was low on air. Then, I pull into the bay and assistant manager says all my tires were fully filled and the Tesla car that I drive did not update . I've been bringing my car to America's tires for years and their insurance is great. I've ran over a nail and they replaced my tire for free. This is one of those places where the extra insurance is worth it. When they give you a timeline, they nail it. read more

I was just leaving for a long trip when I hit something on the road. It was urgent to get the wheel realign so I called around to see if I cloud get it realigned. Everyone that I called said I would have to leave it overnight which wasn't an option. I called Big-O and Elliott said that they would squeeze me in. When I got there I saw that they had a line of cars. To have fit me in meant that someone would have to work OT to fit me in. If I ever need tires I know who I will go to. read more

Called Big O and I got Jett on the phone. Super nice guy. He gave me all the options, and I decided to replaced all four tires instead since they were nearing their end of life use. I stayed with Michelin and got an instant discount and a rebate of $70 off which will come in the mail. I also lucked out and came at the right time. I had very little wait and my car was in the garage, and in less than an hour, I was back on the road. I highly recommend this location because of their excellent services. I bring my cars to Big O in Dublin, CA for everything. Not just tires and oil changes. Here's a small list from many cars, mine and others from over the 30-years. Head Gasket, Belt tensioner, Water Pump, Timing belt. Alternator. Starter and more. Not only do they have tire and brake techs, but full service mechanics. I trust them completely. Popped in because I got a flat. I walked in, and asked how long for a plug? I was told I had to wait an hour. My local mom an pop tire shop is in Newark Ca, but I was in Dublin when I got the flat. So I left Big O Tires because it has never taken an hour to do a plug on one tire. I drove down the street to RT Tires and they started the work on my Tesla Mod 3 right away. I've been a loyal customer of Big O Tires Dublin for many years - tires for our 3 cars, minor services and oil changes. I had found them honest and trustworthy. But I'm not going back any more. I just had them replace a cabin air filter. It's possible to change it myself, but it's awkwardly positioned so I wanted to have someone else do it. The part costs less than $30. When I called Big O to ask about the cost, the person on the phone said the part was about $20 and service was about $40. I didn't feel too bad about that as it seemed reasonable. I brought the car in, and since they didn't have the part in stock, they said they'd order it and call me when it came in. Well, they never called me back. So, 8 days later, I called and they said that the part had been received and I could bring the car in any time. When I brought it in today, they said the cost would be $124 plus tax. I was shocked and said that I had been quoted a much lower cost. They lowered the cost to $100, but that was it (and then they charged me tax on the $100). So, changing the cabin air filter ended up costing $110.25. Of course, had I been told the cost would be over $110, I would bit the bullet and changed it myself for less than $30. My complaints: (a) they never called to tell me the part had been received, (b) they wouldn't give me a breakdown between parts and labor ("it's just $100), and worst of all, (c) I feel I got "bait and switched." The two things I look for in automobile service is competence and honesty. I know car repairs can be expensive, but I need my mechanic to be honest with me, and to keep me posted on progress. I don't know how competent Big O is (I have had no complaints in that regard), but I feel that I can't trust them. So, I'll be going elsewhere next time my cars need parts or service. read more

Went in for new front brake pads. The guy in charge said the rotors had scratches and needed to be ground down. Tried using the scare tactic and said he would not replace the pads without doing this. This was clearly a scam to bring in more revenue. The scratches were minor. Beware of this outfit/racket. Pushing his luck further he started to say the front tiers also need to be replaced. They were nowhere near that (coin test etc.) So I suggest if you need brake pads look around. read more

We've been Big O Tires customers in Dublin for many years - since before my kids could drive, and now they both have cars and they too go to Big O Tires. I'm happy to continue to support a business that not only provides good customer service, but also supports their community (as they always supported schools/volunteers over the years). To focus on customer service - I've never encountered a scenario where they were pushy or condescending towards myself, nor my daughters, even if we asked questions, needed clarification, etc., and they've always been communicative and transparent. All that said, my most recent experience required a full 4-tire replacement, done at a reasonable cost, and I was helped through the process by Jett. Jett was patient, helpful, communicative, all the things I've come to expect from Big O Tires, and it's refreshing to know that we can continue to rely on Big O Tires! They also spent time trying to determine why my seat is immobile (maybe the water I spilled on it had something to do with it?), in any case, they found the issue, explained it, what was needed to repair it, and the timeline. And didn't make me feel guilty when I said I need to return at a later time since I did just spend a bit on the tire replacement. Definitely recommend, stop by and ask for Jett! read more

No one likes an unexpected bill. A few months ago, I was having breakfast with a good friend of mine in Dublin (I am in the South Bay) I was in the parking lot ready to head home when I noticed a had a flat back tire in my truck. After AAA inflated it, I called around and called a local Tires Unlimited to patch it and they quoted a 3 hr. turnaround . Nope. Big O quoted me a much better turnaround. Luckily, they were close by because my tire was giving it up by the time I got there. I was met by Jett who told me it would be an hour to have it patched and on my way. Unfortunately, it didn't turn out that way. The tire had a tear to the inside of the sidewall which could not be safely patched. It needed to be replaced. Also, you can't replace just one tire, you have to replace too. Needless to say, I was not overjoyed to hear that but I wasn't going to take a chance stupidly driving the Sunol Grade on the spare. It was expensive to replace both of them but Jett was patient with me through my frustration with his excellent customer service skills. I was even given a discount on the 2 tires that were purchased. read more
