I highly recommend that you get the insurance on your tires. I have used it three times now to replace tires when I've picked up nails and other debris from the road. Tough call these guys are normally pretty good. I bought three sets of tires from America's tire in Caldwell, Idaho... including a new set two days ago. Now we're driving thru Jackson CA on our way to a NYE gig at a local casino w my band. Our tire lite is on due to low pressure on the new tires. Now we're stuck behind a long line of "free" air checks being ignored because they are too busy. I'm assuming the "free" part is taking a backseat. Which is kind of lame because I just bought these tires and now I'm sitting at the back of the line waiting for someone to wait on anyone. I'm not looking for free. A few weeks ago I stopped by to get the air in my tires checked since I was planning to drive to the Bay Area the next day. The guy who checked the tires said the 2 front tires were extremely over inflated. So he took care of the tires and I was set for my long drive the next day. Amazing service, highly recommend! We got two flat tires the night before Thanksgiving. Everywhere was already closed and would be closed Thanksgiving day as well, so we had to take a risk where we got it towed that they would have tires for us and would be able to help us before our trip home. We are not from the area, so we had our car towed here based on the positive online reviews. The day after Thanksgiving we called right when they opened and were connected with Matt. He promptly got our car in and assessed our needs. He found not only that we had the two flats, but a third tire had a nail and needed to be patched as well! They didn't have the tires we needed, but got them ordered and the car was ready for pick up the same day!! They also checked the alignment which needed fixing, and made sure everything else on the car was good to go. We feel so secure traveling home on a long drive with our family of 6 with our tires and car serviced here! I happened to be near America's tire so I pulled in to the free air check station and asked them to check it. Their service tech found the issue: a bolt in the middle of the tire. I hate to buy tires! Had to tho. Got some estimates, for price and to check out how companies dealt with customers. I decided on America's Tires. Matt helped me at the front desk. He asked me how I used the car and then gave me 2 estimates for tires. The other estimates were very close for the same Cooper Tires so I went for customer service. I just liked the way he dealt with me. When I called to order the tires they called me back to tell me they were in, I set up an appt. They installed and I was out in 35 minutes (loved that). I purchased 4 new tires for my 2005 Dodge truck. 26 days later we realize the tire had a defect. Went into the Jackson CA store and they wanted to charge me $85 to have the tire replaced. It was in the time frame of 30 day warranty with the tire. I have been purchasing tires from this company for 15 years and referred lots of my customers and my family members that don't even live in CA to them. In my opinion, there is a trend at the Jackson location for sales (especially management) to try and steer the customer to just roll over and purchase a set of tires at full price. Americas Tire and manufacturers have warranties for mileage reimbursement in place. Now, allow me to try and explain. I've had a couple interactions with the Jackson location now. First set of tires purchased was $1200 (1 Ton dually) and they ended up lasting about 11000 miles before they were completely worn out, BFG K02 top shelf tires. The salesperson I talked with acted as if that was normal and its time to just buy another set. An employee named Joseph made several excuses why they could not be warrantied. The vehicle is heavy, its diesel, it's a tow vehicle ect. Ive heard it all and felt as though these were an excuse. I spoke to a different manager at another Americas Tire over the phone about the issue I was having and said to come in. This other AT location took complete care of me and mileage warrantied the old tires toward another set of new tires, mind you this was a substantial percentage off toward a new set of tires and I had never set foot in this other AT location until now. Flash forward now, the most recent set of tires is needing replacement at 17,000 miles with a 40,000-mile warranty in place. I talked to the AT staff in Jackson and the store manager S.C. was willing to warranty 2 tires of the 6 tires. Again, I felt as though they were making excuses as to why they could only warranty two. The store was busy this day and I had an appointment in town. The lines were long and took more time than usual. No problem. The manager said he was willing to rotate the tires, but it was time to go. About two weeks pass next go round for tire rotation, my spouse went in and was told 1 of the tires could be warrantied and they would not rotate the tires because of the low tread. This vehicle hadn't been driven 100 miles in that time. I called and the newest excuse was that a 1 ton pickup was a commercial vehicle and not available for mileage reimbursement. At the threat of sounding like a Terry, (the male version of Karen) It took asking for the regional managers contact information that their attitude changed. I did contact Mike at a regional office At this point, and after a long not so pleasant conversation on the phone with S.C. he agreed to warranty all of the tires and this work has been completed. If the set of tires don't make it to their warranty period insist that they honor the warranty don't let the staff or management try and strong arm you into a set of full priced tires. The managers are clearly working toward a bonus or are commission based. Otherwise, I found the staff there to be courteous and friendly the salespeople is a little different story. read more

If you need wheels or tires in an emergency, sure, go here. But they will rip you off. I wasn't ripped off but listening to the manager try and make things up why this older gentleman needs new tires. Their prices aren't super bad but this place lost my trust. Called to ask if I could have my tires rotated but told I would have to wait about an hour and a half once I arrived and if I made an appt. I would be taken care of with a much shorter wait time. I also explained that I wanted to purchase a new spare tire as well. Made a 1:00 appt. for two days later. I arrived at 5 till 1 and stood in line 25 minutes before an associate met with me. In the meantime, a guy that was second inline said he had a 1:30 app. and was told he would be taken care of right away. I watched as his vehicle was taken in for service. I'm still standing inline. I asked the associate why a customer with a later appt. was taken in ahead but I was told I had not yet "checked-in"! I asked what was I supposed to do, holler out over 4 customers standing in line ahead of me (with no appointments) that I had a 1:00 pm appointment? The whole idea of an appt. is about scheduling customers but if a business is not going to follow their policies, why bother with appointments at all, just tell customers first come first serve, that's what they're doing anyway. The associate told me they didn't have a standard tire for a Ford F-150, a very common vehicle. but when I made my appt., the associate should of had the tire I came in for, but failed to do so.
