As I promised in my earlier review, I would buy my tires here because I received outstanding free service a little less than a year, ago. Ten days ago, I asked Becky for a quote on Toyos for my motorhome and was given two models to choose from. When I researched them, I discovered one model wouldn't support the weight of my motorhome. So I ordered the one that could handle the weight. I was told these weren't in stock. I said I needed them installed in November prior to a long trip and was told that wouldn't be a problem. Today, I called to get an ETA on the delivery of the tires. Becky thought she was waiting on a call back from me prior to ordering. She checked her records and said no order was placed, she would have to check the databases of two outside vendors, and she would call me back. I confirmed that she had the correct model #. I was on the phone when Becky called back and left a voicemail wanting to confirm what I wanted before ordering. I called her back and said the confusion was too unsettling for me and to cancel my order. read more

They were able to locate one at a different location and made a trip to grab them same day. They were all very helpful in assisting us in so many way. Les Schwab Tire Center in Jackson, Ca is a hit or miss experience. I have had polite and knowledgeable people help me. However, today I brought my car in for a tire rotation and I was given information that did not match the information that I received at my previous visit. I asked for additional information and was given the run around. I had to ask multiple questions, which I did with great patience and politeness, to receive some very basic information. I asked for the safety report and was told that it would be emailed to me. I have never received a safety report from Les Schwab in my inbox before, and I let them know that and confirmed my email. Once again, I did not receive the safety report that I was told would be in my email. I just spoke with someone at the center and I was told that they could print out a copy of the report for me. Now, why did they not offer this option to me when I was at the center? If I want to drive an hour to get the report, I can have it. I would like this report because every time that I come into this center, I am given different information. I want to maintain my vehicle properly, and I want honest service. I feel very frustrated by the extremely poor customer service, the lack of information and lack of clear communication. I have lost trust in this business. read more

Store closes at 6pm I pulled up at 5:59 with a tire that had lost his tread and the wiring was showing. I didn't have my wrench to switch it for the spare no hesitation Thomas pulled it inside switched it out of charge after the shop is closed when I asked if I could have his email or his managers email so I can send thank you. This morning I had an appointment at Les Schwab in Jackson. The right front tire on my F350 4wd was wearing on the outside of the tread. They quoted me approximately $114 to do the alignment. Approximately half an hour later the technician came in and told me that he had throughly inspected the entire front end, and that is was in spec. This gave me peace of mind knowing that I would not be needlessly chewing up my next set of tires. I was shocked when I went to pay the bill and saw that there was no charge! They stated "no adjustment, no charge". I can remember as a little kid going to repair shops with my dad in the 1970's and this type of business practice was common. In 2024 it is nonexistent. (Except for Les Schawb). They didn't even attempt to sell me new tires. This act speaks volumes about the ownership and the management of Les Schwab. This is a company that you can truly trust! Went in because I had an issue with my girlfriends Subaru AWD. both their purchased tires( road control 11,000 miles on them) and a recent rotation. *these tires were on pushed on her in the Jackson CA location. not very good tires. she commutes over Carson pass and frequently drives in heavy weather and early AM , this is what they sold her on.* Today I went in due to misalignment issue that happened 24 hours after Les Schwab rotated her tires. Recently Was stranded 2 hours from home on a road trip with these tire issues. ( 1 day after we had taken the vehicle in at Jackson Les Schwab and had the tires rotated/inspected. no mention of anything amiss on the report) limped it to a les Schwab In woodland CA. they showed me misalignment and a tire That was dangerously separating. I asked them how a tech could miss this 24 hours prior at the Jackson branch? and they shrugged. Asked them if this could be caused by a faulty rotation and they shrugged. I have no more information and was now running late In a severe storm. " we can sell you new tires" 1k+ quote for cheap 235s. similar to the ones that had just failed. No thank you. Went to an Americas Tire branch and got Back on the road within 45 mins. sold me one tire with similar tread. easy. Printed me out some quotes of decent tires in price point and superior grades. said he would do it for 0% apr credit For 9 Months . prices good and beat Les Schwabs by a huge amount. ........................................... Today 3 weeks later in Jackson, took the failed "road control" tire in to talk with Les Schwab. Talked to their employee who as not especially knowledgeable or helpful. Acknowledgment or information on how this happened. a 15% off coupon, anything would have potentially smoothed it over. Ultimately it wasn't his fault, he's a shop manager and they work on tires all day. how is he supposed to know why a tire is rubbing or why it wasn't noticed by a tech? stuff happens no big deal. But.. finessing it would Have been easy. He offered to sell me new tires. I already had a quote for tires from the Les Schwab in woodland CA 1k for what I consider poor quality tires. If there's limited customer service and poor quality why do I want to buy these tires? the Tires I run on my trucks ( 265 goodyear wranglers duratrac) get 40-45k of wear and cost 900 a set. I can't imagine how larger and much better constructed tires that are name brand quality cost LESS than no name 225 "road controls". Tire customers tend to go to the same place time and time again. She's been a loyal Les Schwab customer for 25 years. insisted on buying tires there. I've had 2 interactions with Les Schwab in the past month and both have been less than ideal. So much so that I'm spending 30 mins writing this review. I told her about my experience today and she immediately called America tire. save yourself $. They always tend to do an exceptional job on the car but left it dirty this most recent time and charge a lot more than normal.

Ever since I had my car new it had a shimmy on the right front. Especially when I braked. This place told me I needed a new caliper and brakes and rotors.Said I needed to replace all because one would mess up the others. Said that would take care of it. Nope! 500 later it was worse. Went back in, under warranty.. they said it wouldny hurt anything to shake when I stopped and refused to look further. Basically told me to shove off. Bought new parts for less than 50 at autozone and my son put them on. Shimmy is completely gone. Showed me how they hadn't even replaced the hardware that came with the kit and how putting them on crooked was causing the uneven wear and shimmy and squeaking. What's rip off this company was. So much for professionals when my kid can do it better. Rip offs! They owe me 500 for nothing! Come in again? What's the point? They already blew me off when I DID return with this complaint. .. AND refused to honor the warranty. I've already spent more money and time correcting it on my own. It's a far drive and takes half my day. Time is money and they've already wasted it twice. No thanks unless I'm getting a refund for not getting what I paid for and a useless warranty. It's a small county. My friends and family will go elsewhere from now on. read more

My husband went there and bought four new tires for our truck. A week later at 4 am after working 16 hours at the hospital while driving down highway 50, I noticed the truck was shaking erratically. I went to get off on the next exit and my driver side tire flew off and went flying down in front of me. The truck fell forward and I was now stranded on the side of the road. After calling AAA and pushing my tire back to my truck I ended up having to get a hotel room because I was stranded in Sacramento and there were no mechanics open on the weekend. I ended up having to pay for the truck to be stowed until I could get it towed back to a mechanic and I had to pay over $200 for a hotel room because of how exhausted I was. This was the worst experience and after having it evaluated it was discovered that after they changed our tires, Lea Schwab didn't set the tire on straight and the wheel was not flush to the mount. This caused the posts to snap off. I highly do not recommend them to anyone. Les Schwab reimbursed us for the storage of our vehicle over the weekend but it took over two months to get the check because they sent it to the wrong address at first. They failed to ask us for an address and at no point were we asked to verify our address. They had to order us a new wheel because it was destroyed. And after a couple of weeks my husband stepped in to see what was taking so long and they said they were waiting on a new tire and we would get a call. Then a week or two later my husband stopped by and they said the tire was FINE and we didn't need a new tire. This whole experience was bullshit and a headache. I will never go back. At no point did they attempt to discount the initial purchase of four tires. At no point did they apologize or try to make it right. We were fighting against their incompetencies the entire time. read more

I went in because my tire pressure light kept coming on, they took my car in inspected the tires and fixed a leaking valve stem for FREE! I always had problems with the tire pressure and had it into other places but the others couldn't find anything wrong with the tires so kept topping off the air. This review is way overdue. So I was a little hesitant moving from my Schwab in Galt to here but I'm so glad I did. I won't sing my ode to Les Schwab here (I love them so much & will be a forever customer! Okay I'm done) I will just comment on Aaron & Greg & the other young lads at this location that are amazing. I commute to school in Stockton 500mls a week (yes folks, you read that correctly) so I'm putting an insane amount of mileage on my car. I completely trust this place for all my tire/brake/suspension needs which I feel is saying a lot in my case. My car is my life right now getting me to school & keeping me safe. They have great communication here which I really appreciate & they don't try to upsell you on tires or service like some shady corporate tire place! Brakes squealing? Just a rock we pulled it out for you! Brakes not due yet, so don't worry. Tire making a weird noise after your chains "malfunctioned"? You bent some stuff but we got you! ‍ Yeah I'm that girl. Lol these guys feel like my brothers who I would go to for car help I love it. Waiting area & bathroom is always clean and the wait time is reasonable. While I was in the area my 08 Escalade ext ABS and Traction control light lit up. I eased my way down the hill and searched for an auto repair and found les Shwab. It was 12 min before opening(8am) when I arrived I was happy to see Jacob my service advisor greet me before opening and went straight to business with my truck. He soon discovered what was wrong the wheel bearing and tired on front left. After taking it apart and discovered my rack an pinion needed to be replaced he advices me the best point of action according to my needs. Because if him I feel his level of service make me feel comfortable over the dealerships in times when I can't reach one. I am from Alameda, CA and was out on Saturday working at the California Capital Airshow with the USS Hornet crew. in Sacramento. I left there to go to Cooperopolis to visit some friends on Lake Tulloch. So here I am, just as happy as can be and I happen to look over and see that my tire warning light is on. It is 96 degrees out and I am in the middle of NOWHERE and it is 4:30 in the afternoon. I decided that I would stop at the first gas station i came to and it was the Shell Station in Jackson. Darn good thing I did because my tire was FLAT. SUPER nice people, turned on the air pump and told me - Go to Les Schwab - it is right around the corner. Super nice Motorcycle dudes helped me pump up the tire (I didn't need help, but they were so sweet I didn't want to tell them!) I pulled up to Les Schwab and told them my sad story. They pulled the car in right away and no sooner did I go potty and get some water and let my friends know I was going to be late and out comes my car. All fixed and they didn't charge me anything! Really? I can't give you any money? Very nice young man says "No ma'am. It is our pleasure! Please consider going to your local Les Schwab when it is time to replace your tires" Damn Skippy I will. Horrible customer service. I took my car in for a shakedown and it literally fell apart as I was leaving. The guys made excuses saying it was nothing they did on their end that would make them responsible. This makes no logical sense and neither does the fact that they would go out of their way to cover up where it was their fault and not at least even attempt to make it right. Pathetic. read more

Have had a lot of work done at this place and was on my way to get more, when I called to get a quote on some brakes and the low end was 260- with the high being 500- if I needed rotors, which they were going to order " to be safe", with parts not available for a basic brake job for two more days. We were camping in Pine Grove and as we were leaving to go home our check engine light came on. We called Les Schwab to see if they could see what was wrong with our truck and they said they could, but that they could not fix it. We had talked to our mechanic back home and he said to get a diagnosis and he could tell us if we could drive home on it (did not want to go to an out of town mechanic). Went in to have a low tire checked, said I was overdue to have the tires rotated. The younger guy told me that to rotate tires on a dually they would have to dismount and remount the tires (probably to get some money for doing a service thats supposed to be free). I instructed him on how they can rotate the tires without remounting, and he looked extremely confused. with a 5-6 bay shop and 1 vehicle in one of them, he told me it would be an hour and a half before they could even get to it. So I said forget it, cant wait that long!!! He did not even offer to put air in the tire that was low. Needless to say I will not be using them for anything again. read more

they fix your tire when you have a flat and then tell you to come back so you call in the morning and tell them i need brakes and rotors on your make model car very common car the and then they tell you to come in I drive 30 min downhill on metal brakes for them to tell me I need new rotors and brakes but that's what I told them so what is the point of me driving down and you taking my tires off and put them back on ?
