Wanted to grab some dinner and brew beer but the place had completely changed, they no longer brew beer and the menu was very different. They didn't have wraps or anything like what the food was before. Too bad because they have fallen short on both food and service. I think there were two ladies working the bar but both were preoccupied with other guest. I ordered a sandwich and fries to share with my daughter and they were just ok.

Food was fresh and came quickly! Can never go wrong with dining here. Service was great also!!! They even had the chiefs game on all tvs!!

Never great food and non existent service but good to watch games especially before concert next door. They are trying to fix the service issue by having robot servers bring food to tables. That was interesting to watch as customers trying to walk around them or not know what to do when they arrived at the tables. We ordered the Nachos with beef: not good at all. Weird tasting. Not sure if it was the beef or cheese that tasted bad. Beer was bit flat and soda tasted weird/off. Chicken fingers always solid choice here. They are really hot but "ok" on the flavor. Butter burger not any flavors. Very bland. We wanted to order the ribeye grinder but the waitress warned us it is really "grissely" so we chose the above items instead. This is a place to drink a beer and watch a game. Not to have a great meal.

Bad service, worse food and uninspired atmosphere. I get it, it's a casino restaurant but even then it could improve on all cylinders. Why does a restaurant that has a surplus of servers (all seemingly under the age of 25) need robots to run the food? I understand that the restaurant itself is pretty large but, I wouldn't think they get entirely swamped considering this was on a Saturday night when UFC were taking place at the Star Pavilion and the restaurant was crowded but not unmanageable for the number of servers. Now, I could overlook the animatronic waiter if the food the robot peddled was actually decent. But, it wasn't, it was quite bad. The flatbread pizza was anything but...the crust was puffy and slightly undercooked and definitely wasn't anything that would fit in a low carb diet. The chips served with spinach dip were overly salted and stale and the dip itself was slimy and under seasoned. Just pass. If you must eat at Ameristar I guess just bite the bullet and get reservations at the steakhouse...and that in itself isn't anything to write home about either so diner be warned!

My mom and I stopped in here attempting happy hour before the casino the other night. Sadly, they don't have happy hour anymore. Our service wasn't the best but there is a lot of room for improvement. The honey sriracha chicken samdwhich and martini were pretty good though!

Very good. Service was interesting with a robot bringing food. Onion rings were great

Food is good but their service is beyond terrible. We've tried numerous times and even trying to get food to go is a huge issue.

All of that being stated, despite the heat, the Varsity Club patio is awesome. There are plenty of picnic tables, it's kid friendly (at least during dinner), and they have some great happy hour specials. I loved that even outside you get table service, the staff was SO kind even though we were just there for happy hour on the patio, and they offer water you can pour yourself near the door. I loved also that many of their cocktails come in a cute branded plastic cup that's better for outdoors, and was fun for my kiddo to enjoy her kids drink out of without me worrying about her breaking glass. I honestly can't wait to return once it cools down.

It was a little confusing at first getting everything set up and figuring out the controls, but once we got into it, it was a blast. The setup upstairs is really cool--it's somewhat separated, which helps you stay immersed, but there are still other arcade games up there so if you're waiting for your turn, you're not just standing around. One thing I really appreciated was the drink selection. I don't drink alcohol, and they had a TON of mocktail options, which honestly made the experience way better for me. It's not something every place puts effort into, so that stood out. The food was also surprisingly good, with plenty of options to choose from. Downstairs has more of a full bar vibe with additional games and more space to sit and eat (no VR down there), so it's nice to have both environments depending on what you're in the mood for. Overall, it's a great spot for groups, especially for birthdays or a night out where you want something a little different.

There was a concert of some type happening on top of the World Cup madness and it was absolute pandemonium!! It was amazing! So naturally, after partying and screaming through games, at the end of the night we wanted grub and this was one of the few still serving food. Service wasn't bad at all despite the crowded madness. We walked in and found a table ourselves as the host was MIA and then asked someone to clean it for us. Eventually, Casey W. made his way to our table to take our orders. At first he said kitchen was closing and that our food would take about 45 mins but we didn't care and said we were fine with the wait. After all, it was 11:30 at night and the place was packed! Drinks: I was the only one that had a cocktail, my boys had beers. I had the "blue balls" which was pretty good! Food: we had the mango habanero and Wilson's sauce wings with fries and 12 inch pizza because he said they were out of the bigger one. Wings and fries came out first and were so hot and fresh. I loved the mango habanero with pieces of jalapeño on it. The Wilson's sauce wasn't bad either. The ranch though?!? Seriously, KC might have the best ranch I ever had! The pizza came out not too long after and it was SO good! It was thin crust, very fresh, with chicken, mushroom, and jalapeños. It had the perfect amount of sauce and the flavor was just soo good! Didn't even get a pic because it got attacked soon as it hit the table!
