I used Amici's to cater my Moms 100th birthday. The pizza was cold, the mozzarella sticks were not cooked. I ordered a full tray of mozzarella sticks and there was only one layer on the bottom. delivery man had an attitude. I spent a fortune there and was disappointed. I ordered the birthday girl a special dinner and my husband was shocked they-never comped her dinner. The salad was good. The gave me 10% off and the bill was almost $600 with the discount. 4 stars on my first serving of Amici's margherita pizza and garlic knots. Based on food delivery. I ate a slice of margherita first. It was still hot and oven fresh. I carefully ate it so I didn't burn the roof of my mouth from the hot cheese and tomato sauce. The ratio of crusty bottom to pillowy mid-section to cheese to sauce was perfectly equal. Every bite was a perfect bite. And the garlic knots. Those are the first I enjoyed seconds of. It was pillowy thus light, tossed in minced garlic and oil. That garlic though...I used the knot to scrap the loose garlic in the container it came in. Yum! The dough here is not heavy. I had to stop after 2 slices. So good!! read more

Our party ate the burger and fries, wings, Cesar salad, a pepperoni pizza and a pep/Italian sausage. Everything was freshly made and delicious. My son devoured the burger and fries. The crust on the pizza was thin and perfectly crispy. We love wings and try them everywhere we go. These did not disappoint!! Way better than BWW we had eaten the day before. Something has happened to this place. It used to be good, but recent experiences tell us it went down hill. As an example, we ordered two dinners, two desserts and a pizza today. After waiting more than an hour, the delivery man gave us the pizza and nothing else on a $100+ order. We called more than 15 times and the calls were never answered and the mailbox was full and we could not leave a message. The delivery person delivered the rest of the order 40 minutes later. I was told by several people the new owners would be keeing the same cooks- well then something is wrong. Maybe they aren't using the same high quality ingredients, because I has baked ziti take out and it did not have the same amazing flavor- no to little seasoning, the sauce flat. Garlic knots not so garlicy. I've also had their pizza on a few occasions since the takeover and that has changed too! It's a shame- this was hands-down the best Italian food anywhere in the area! This place has wonderful pizza and the restaurant portion is amazing the ambiance is quiet and nice. The food is well cooked had a cheese calzone didn't plan on stopping by for a full dinner, the waiters and owner were so friendly and stayed on top of refilling the water and drinks. I have to say I've been extremely disappointed in Amici's since the new owners took over. After over 15 years of being a loyal customer, always ordering at least once a week sometimes up to 3 times a week, I'm ready to try somewhere else. Tonight was the top of the iceberg. I called in a soup and large pie to be delivered. The gentleman said it would take 45 minutes. After 1:30 the food arrived. The attached picture is how my cold pizza looked! All flipped over on itself. Also, our SOUP was cold!!!! That means our order had to be sitting there for a really long time!! The quality of the food and the personal touch are sadly no longer there! This is a pretty good pizza place, but I feel it has gone a bit downhill in recent years. I used to eat here very often and the pizza was amazing, but once the facility changed ownership, the food has become just average. The cheese pizza is a bit greasy and lacks sauce, the Sicilian is average but has hard crust, the chicken parm pizza is very good, with tender chicken and a great sauce to cheese to crust to chicken ratio, and the Margherita was very fresh and tasted pretty well. However, even though I enjoy a bit of sweetness in the sauce, this experience I found that it was a bit too sugary. I feel that instead of using sugar to sweeten the sauce, a bit of carrot purée would help make it more subtle and improve the consistency. Going to Amici's is a hit or miss at the moment. When they hit, it is a great pizza experience, but unfortunately this time it was a miss. read more
