The Deli though was not appealing and at 7pm during my visit unmanned, and the checkout horribly understaffed with a dozen plus customers waiting at each cashier so that numerous lines snaked into the aisles. It looked to be well stocked, and an attractive space, but I left without making a purchase because of the lack of cashiers. In my case the purchase would have been for food and beverages, but instead I opted for granola bars that I had packed in my luggage. I noticed via other reviews that a lack of staffing is a frequent reported issue so patience will be required if shopping here.

The meat market had a selection that included hens, intestines, various tongues and fish. Some of the packaged items were labeled in ways that did not identify what kind of "meat" it was so I'll call it mystery meat and not buy it. I will say that the meat pricing is much lower than the typical American markets and even lower than some other Asian markets I've been to (such as H Mart or Ranch Market). Plenty of fresh and packaged noodles, along with a variety of fresh produce.

Glad Northgate is just a few minutes further down the street. Their prices and products are comparable. I prefer some of the pan dulce at Superior more like the coffee cake and cheese rolls, but I'll have what Northgate has to offer for a quicker stop. Their cash register lines are short and move quick, so I appreciate that! Pan dulce ranges in price from 2 pieces to 4 pieces for $5. Not bad! They have pretty decent meat in the deli, a fresh variety of cheap produce and ready made food, much like Superior. They are currently selling big bunches of marigolds for $8.99 for día de los muertos ofrendas, which is cheaper than other stores!
