I ordered delivery and was disappointed to see that the Pad See Ew was burnt (both the chicken and the noodles). I am neither picky about food, nor one to complain easily, but I'm surprised that the person who cooked this dish (or burnt it, rather) was comfortable with serving it to their customers. Things like that happen so I thought I'd just give the restaurant a call and give them a heads up. Sadly, the manager was a D with no customer service skills. I love Amina Thai in Rockville and Silver Spring. This Amina Thai is just as good as the one in Rockville. The Silver Spring Amina Thai is much a bigger and is really nice to sit and eat. There are 2 or 3 tables where you are very close to street window. These tables are really cool to sit at. You can window watch while eating. The food over here is great and so is the service. I have ate here and done take out. Every time we are happy. I have ate Amina Thai like over 100 times and have been eating here since 2009. I was so happy when there expanded in to Silver Spring. This location is a cooler and bigger to sit and eat at. The place is nice and quiet. You can eat in peace and talk softly to your friends. The price of the food is very reasonable and the size of the dishes are excellent. We probably eat here or at the Rockville location at least once a month. I love this place so much. Parking is easy at the garage just down Fenton street. The food is Halal. read more

Went before a concert at Fillmore and was craving for curry noodles. I've had it at other Thai restaurant and it's a simple swap of rice with noodles. The waiter declined my request and suggested drunken noodles, which is over cooked and way too greasy. This place is a solid 4 for me. I've only been once so I may have to adjust my review. I had the vegetarian fried rice (includes string beans, carrots, mushrooms, peas, baby corn and eggs). Had the chicken drunken noodles, pineapple chicken fried rice, and chicken penang curry. Only thing we weren't obsessed with was the penang curry, only because we like a thicker consistency so can't begrudge the restaurant for a personal preference. Drunken noodles were so excellent that we ended up ordering A SECOND ONE AT OUR TABLE (we are 2 adults and 2 kids under 3 so you would think 3 adult entrees would be enough BUT YOU WOULD THINK WRONG). Been here twice. First time was at dinner time. Food was excellent, but left with sticker shock at the bill. Thai food tends to be very pricey (funny, because much of it is greet food in Thailand). 3 of us cost almost $100. Went back much later again for lunch with colleagues. Was ready to surrender my wallet and not looking forward to it. Wow. Was I in for a surprise. An absolutely excellent selection of foods for an incredibly low price. My brother and I went to break his fast. They give large portions of rice which a lot of Thai restaurants don't. We ordered the veggies spring rolls which were perfect. I got the shrimp Penang, the shrimps were large and delicious. My brother got the pumpkin curry with tofu. The tofu was fried hard just how I like it and the pumpkin was good. Great Thai place with authentic food! Best part is it's halal and Postmates delivers them to our house. The Panang curry was really good and did not taste like peanut butter. The drunken noodles are to die for and soooo good! The spice level is perfect ! Only reason why I can't give a 5 is because the panang curry the second time we ordered it wasn't as good as the first time. So consistency may be an issue here. Favorite new Thai Place! I recently moved back to Silver Spring and happened upon Amina Thai through the Postmates app. I selected some safe options off their menu, Pad Thai and Thai Fried Rice (both chicken options). All I can say is wow! I can't believe I missed out on this place all this time! The Pad Thai was flavorful, spicy and authentic. The Thai Fried Rice was just as delicious. I ordered take out last night for me and a friend and we were so dissatisfied and disappointed unfortunately. The food arrived on time for sure so that was nice. The quality of the food was so terrible, I was baffled because the reviews on Yelp were SO positive! This is truly the worst Thai food I have ever had. I got the green curry with chicken and there was literally no flavor what so ever, it was incredibly bland and the chicken had a bizarre texture. My friend got pineapple fried rice and it was equally as bland and flavorless. I have had pineapple friend rice from another Thai place that was exceptional and there was no comparison, again really confusing. After serving the fish to our young children first, my husband and I sat down to enjoy our meals.
