I don't prefer to give bad reviews to family owned businesses but I won't be using Amir Appliances again. I am assuming Amir had his son come to look at my leaking fridge, not sure, as he did not introduce himself. I get a text saying "I am here" but it turns out he is at my neighbors house, and so I go outside and say, "Oh hey I am here" and he replies with "Google maps showed this house"...Okay..well..if you looked at the house number you could have seen that was the incorrect house number, but no big deal. After taking a pretty quick look at my fridge he says "I can't fix it, hire a plumber" and so I asked "Do you know what this could run me by chance?" he responds "No idea, I don't know anything about plumbing." And I said, "Okay do you have any plumbers you recommend?" He says "No, I don't". Cool- really glad I spent $85 on this rude interaction. Amir asked me a few questions, I sent him a few pictures & he basically diagnoses the problem over the phone/text messaging, but then recommended for me to first contact GE on my warranty that I could possibly save money going through GE. I felt that was outstanding & super cool. I asked him to provide me a quote in case GE didn't cover the work which he did in writing. I've had Amir to my home two times to look at my refrigerator not cooling properly. Each time Amir assessed the problem and told me what to do. Each time he is correct, and the problem is something simple I can fix myself. Amir is VERY professional, and knowledgeable He has never charged me to come out and look at my appliance. Vlad is great. Can't recommend him enough. Our KitchenAid refrigerator was broken for over a year; issues with the water systems. We were using Whirlpool (they own KitchenAid) recommended repair services which came out at least 5 times and couldn't (or wouldn't) repair the problem. I finally accused them of milking us at which point they refused to come back. Honestly, there should be a class action suit against them for bilking clients on repair services. In a last ditch effort, we contacted Amir Appliance Repair. Vlad diagnosed the issue in 10 minutes, ordered the parts, came back a couple of weeks later and our refrigerator is fixed. They quickly figured out the problem and fixed it. More importantly, they identified a bigger problem with our clogged duct. Amir made making an appointment easy, showed up on time and completed the service for the price quoted. That's a win-win in my book. First, I sent pictures of the issue we were having with our appliance. Second, Amir responded quickly with a few questions, then made his diagnosis and offered to change the valve which he correctly diagnosed was not functioning. We've had no issues with leaking water since. I appreciate Amir did not try to upsell me or pitch additional charges. I also appreciate that, when he left, he indicated that he had looked at our other appliances and was familiar with all of them. Our fridge was making the most insane humming noise for WEEKS before and were willing to buy a brand new fridge if it meant we had a moment of silence!! We thought it could be the coils or something! We decided to reach out to Amir first and see if there was anything we could do to diagnose the problem and fix it before resorting to buying a new one if necessary. I called Amir Thursday and left a message which he returned within 30 minutes. I let him know the make and model of the fridge and he said "if it was an emergency, he could make it out that day but if not then tomorrow". At that point, it wasn't an emergency so he came over Friday at 2:50pm, by 3:05 he already knew what the problem was and had diagnosed that our fridge humming was coming from our fridge fan that was basically dying. The humming was the fan working over time He gave us a really good price ( I couldn't believe the price of parts and everything altogether). He had the part in his car, and by 4pm the fan was fixed and our fridge was finally silent!! Amir was kind, curteous, and so attentive. I asked him if it was worth it to fix the fridge, and he ran through the options with me and we determined it was worth it to fix. Amir was great we had an issue with the home appliance DRYER. Start button wouldn't turn on for some reason!? My landlord called him a day prior to advise the issue we had. He came the next day, checked it out and said it was some kind of issue in the back of the dryer and he could repair it and make it like new! So, I said ok! Extremely happy with the work that Amir completed. All he asked for was the serial number and model number of the washing machine along with the air code I was getting. He researched with the manufacture sport, and knew exactly what was wrong and came and replaced it the following day. Our washing machine went from spending 3 to 4 hours on a single wash to now 1 to 1.5 hours.
