It's been a minute since I ate Lebanese and Mediterranean food, but this was a good reminder of why I love the food. Here, you're getting great service, music and ambiance. The menu has many classics including gyros, shawarma, kabobs, and the fresh pita bread is a home run. Chicken tika masala 9/10 The pictures can't describe how creamy the sauce was. So rich in color, deep with flavor and the filled with chicken chunks. Of course, you have to dip the fresh baked pita bread into this to appreciate how amazing it was. Gyros 9/10 The gyro plate was more of a platter loaded with beef and lamb. The spices on the meat were so delicious and cooked to perfection. Every bite was balanced with the coolness from the hummus and lightness of the rice. We were treated to a sample of the Turkish coffee. Wow, I was pleasantly surprised how light and aromatic it was. Not bitter or burnt.

I married a Lebanese man. Coming from out of state and finding this gem was initially exciting. Service and food were okay. Husband says no, we won't be back. Grape leaves - I like that it wasn't sour. It was a neutral taste. Usually at other places, it tastes sour. Falafel - same thing as grape leaves. Neutral flavor. It was crispy. Hummus - same thing as the rest of the food. It needed some garlic, lemon, and nutty flavor. Turkish Coffee - it's Turkish coffee. They didn't wait for the coffee to cool and the grounds to settle, so a quarter of the cup was filled with mostly coffee grounds.

It seems Pointless to review this too often but it's consistently a five star experience. We come every time we are in Golden for a hike. Service is always spot on. Some newer staff but great service. Chicken shawarma platter with half hummus and half baba s a favorite. The two skewer platter with chicken always makes me happy. Rice. Hummus. Salad. We always start with the falafel which could be a meal in itself. Well done. Crunchy and soft served with tahini or hummus. My favorite thing here. The fresh hot bread or pita is always piping hot out of the oven and more than enough for two. This is really one of the things that separates Amir from other Lebanese or middle eastern restaurants. It's crazy good. Love. Love. Love. This place.

Food is just plain delicious. They let my friend get lunch special right at ending time. We also got the sampler appetizer and myself the lamb kabobs. Very friendly service and they checked on us several times to make sure we didn't need anything. Nice atmosphere as well. Casual yet somewhat refined. Check it out you will enjoy the meal.

Food is great and flavors are on point. I enjoyed my doner. But that was the issue - that's all I got for I believe $12. No sides are included and there are no lunch specials. A side of fries is $6. Service was extremely slow too. Staff was polite, but plan to wait a bit.

Wow! This place is amazing. I got the Meat Combo which includes lamb, chicken, kafta, salad, hummus, bread, and rice. Each meat was juicy and flavorful- NOT DRY! Even their yogurt dip (maybe shallot yogurt?) had so much depth and flavor. The rice was cooked to perfection and their pita is one of my favorites in Colorado! I wish they included a traditional cucumber salad or grilled tomatoes instead of the salad that is included, but it was still a nice fresh break. I just wish it was not drenched in dressing. Will definitely come back.

Came here because this place is one of my friends favorite. Maybe he hyped it up too much for me? Lentil soup: 2 stars not really what i was expecting. It wasn't flavorful and it was a little too watery for me. The lentils were also blended. Hummus: 3 stars it definitely had this bitter after taste. Consistency was good, it wasn't too thick but I've had better Hummus. Chicken Shawarma plate: 5 stars it definitely hit the spot. The chicken was very tender, everything was well seasoned where one ingredient was more overpowering than the other. Shawarma wasn't greasy like other places. The rice thar came with it was also really fluffy and tasty. The salad tho just seems more like an after thought. I would like to try a different dish next time I visit. I'll definitely be back and give this place another try! Overall a solid 4 for me.

Service was good. It was quite empty when we first arrived; A few more tables came in after that. Iced tea was from a fountain but surprisingly tasty! We ordered the dolmas, hummus with pita (must get!!!!) and Greek salads with gyro meat. The Greek salads had pickles on it, which I did not like and ended up picking them off. My sister loved it!

Just kinda bad. Made me feel sick afterwards. Meat is super chewy and seasoned poorly. Looks understaffed and desolate.

Many more had shown up here before we left, however. As it was happy hour, we tried three different appetizers: falafel with hummus, dolmas, and harissa carrots. All were delicious and ended up being rather filling. My wife and I both had the lamb gyros, while my daughter had the chicken shawarma. While the dishes didn't appear to be a huge amount of food, they ended up being plenty. Everything had really nice flavor. As it was my wife's birthday, she got the free baklava for dessert. My daughter and I both thought it was fantastic...maybe one of the better baklavas we've had in a long time. My wife thought it was fine but has had other versions she'd liked better. Service was quick and strong from the start. All food came out surprisingly fast. We'd come here again if on/near Tennyson Street and in the mood for a good Mediterranean experience.

The only reason this isn't 5 stars is because the price differential between these two items is about $5 and instead of itemizing our receipts, our waiter just split it in two, overcharging my friend and undercharging me. It seemed very incongruent to the rest of our otherwise excellent experience here.

The house-made pickled veggies served with it were amazing as well and really balanced the nice waiting of the lamb gyro. My wife got the Caesar salad with chicken Shawarma. That was Incredible as well! Try a side of the Harrissa in the zhug sauces to add a little fresh heat! The restaurant has great ambience with some Moroccan type vibes and a great patio. And from that point on, from first taste, I knew my experience would be exceptional. The service was attentive without being overly attentive, and the chef's were so kind, answering every one of my weird questions about what they were preparing or ingredients that I noticed. I ordered the smoked burrata to start. The balance between the candied pistachio, artichoke pesto, and wagyu cecina really created a well balanced and unexpected dish. The burrata was creamy and the salty and sweet components balanced the aged sherry gastrique and made for an incredible intro to a beautiful performance by the chefs. Next was another small dish, which I wish I remembered the description for (I need to bring a little notebook with me), but it was a perfect segue into the next course, the ibérico presa. Wow. Just wow. White asparagus has got to be one of my favorite vegetables next to artichokes, when done exceptionally well, as they most definitely were. The piquillo peppers and pickled shallots complemented the pork, which was so soft, perfectly. I definitely died and went to heaven at this point in the meal. This is probably when I should've stopped eating because after this point, still pure delight, but my poor stomach was soooooo full. Next was another small bite to lead into my next course, also incredible. Wish I could describe it. My next course was the European sea bass. Now, sea bass is my favorite fish of all time. The perfectly crisp skin, the red onion jam, the spicy sweet balance was perfection. I loved every bite. The olive oil potatoes were a perfect complement. And at this point, I was bursting at the seems... but I still ordered dessert, because you only live once and food is one of the great joys of life. For dessert, I had the crema. The honeycomb on top, the cherries, all leading to a perfect finish. A time was had. Thanks El Five
