Update: The front desk staff, probably office manager, called and told me to come in and have a dentist redo my cavity check and I could use some of what I paid for the cosmetic procedure as a "credit" for my cavity fills. I went back a week later and surprise, I had 3 cavities, one which was "a lot worse that expected". Luckily, they were able to fill them up the same day. read more

Though I might still be a bit loopy from being under general anesthesia, I can confidently say this place is wonderful. I was visibly nervous but they calmed me down and said it'll be quick and painless-- which it was. All four of my wisdom teeth were removed, one being impacted, in less than 45 minutes. 7 years I have been a patient of Dr.Shaws. My longest relationship with a dentist as adult because of Dentists who did poor work. My first implant was before Dr Shaw and they used 2 posts and the molar crown looked like mini cinder block not a tooth. In 2014 I broke my leg and knee, when I sought a dentist for a toothache no one would take me as a patient. The day I called Dr Shaw he saw me right away and could not save the tooth but I decided on another implant. I have been thrilled with the crowns and the price was less but he insisted on a sinus lift. Listen to Dr Shaw but don't Google sinus lift if he recommends it. Trust me I am happy now but I would not have shown up for the procedure if I googled it before the appt. During the pandemic I started having pain and saw DrShaw. From Dec to May I had over 40 Drs appts and for the dental exams and specialists I went to Dr.Shaws office and the dental specialists examined me in his office. Since I was in bad shape it helped I went to one dentist and not have to visit each specialist as a new patient or explain why my dentist sent me here. I'm not sure they still offer this but Creative Smiles offered a Saver Plan that was about about $150 a yr. It included 2 cleanings, ex rays, discounted treatments and I did not have to pay for a single dental specialty consult . I saw 4 dental specialists at my own dentist so I was in a place I knew and knew the staff. Just 1 specialty consult without good dental coverage runs about $200-$350. read more

Staff was super friendly. My first visit to creative smiles I was welcomed by Vanessa, she's been my go to girl ever since, but it was her initial kindness that warmed me up to coming here. 2. Pricing is extremely fair. I comp shopped a lot of places around the area, their overall pricing was matched or better than their competitors. 3. Cleanliness mattered to me and I could never find a hair out of place here. It was a huge factor for me and I've never had a single complaint 4. I really enjoy the doctors. Dr Chung is by far my favorite. Super down to earth, straight up, tells you what you need to know and breaks down your treatment plan so you know exactly what's going on in your mouth and what to expect. I chose this place 4 years ago for so many reasons, and continue to choose this place because the standard has been the same. Nobody likes going to the doctors office, especially the dentist, but when you have a place that makes an effort to build a rapport with you, genuinely gets to know you, why wouldn't you keep going back? Visited the Fullerton office today for a tooth extraction. Nico greeted me immediately upon arrival and took me right back in...no wait time at all! He was VERY pleasant and professional and took X-rays. Dr. Mintzer arrived and couldn't have been any nicer. Didn't try to upsell me, just listened to my requests and was so very accommodating. Tara came to discuss the charges with me prior to proceeding with the extraction. The rate was reasonable and I was thrilled! I thanked Tara for her kindness. Do not go to this dentist!!! They overcharge and rip you off. When you ask for the bill, they give you the run around, put you on hold, and can't seen to give you an exact amount. Weird how the amount taken out is different from the amount they said they will take out. They will charge you for unnecessary services and charge you for some routine services that are covered by your dental plan. I stopped going to this dentist and they are still charging me for services that have not been done!!! They took out a double payment after I paid my balance and blamed it on their "system" and I still have not received a refund. I just received an email yesterday that they will deduct another payment after I paid my balance and then took out a double payment when they should not have taken any payments at all. Avoid at all costs!!! It has been a nightmare dealing with these shady crooks!!! read more

If you see my other dentist review from earlier today, you can imagine how frustrated I was feeling when I called Creative Smiles. They got me in right away. The office is clean and the staff is super friendly. When I met with Dr Shah, he could not have been more professional. He refused to make negative comments about my previous experience (although I caught that wince when I told him they worked on me without anesthesia) and just said we needed to figure out where to go from here. He spent 10-15 minutes talking to me about why I was in pain and how to address that over the next few days. Taking the time to really talk to me instead of telling me how I was feeling was a huge difference and I immediately felt better. He did numb me up to work on the tooth a bit more which has helped with the pain. I am pretty sure they give out customer service pills to all their staff at the beginning of each workday. I know, I'm joking but each of them really were great and relaxed me and my dental phobia. Our whole family has already scheduled cleanings and checkups with them and we are so grateful for their compassion and high standard of care. I'd give them 10 stars if I could. Go here. I had an appointment for deep teeth cleaning today and was done by Anh Le the hygienist. She was very gentle and thorough. I hardly could feel the needle when she was numbing me. That was the best experience I had. The rest of staffs are very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Tara has been with dr. Dr. Mintzer and the office staff are excellent! I had my crown done here about 6 months ago and was pleased with the process and happy with the results. The x-ray machine may be a little on the older side of technology. (Comparing to my last dentist) During my routine cleaning, I noticed the water tubing that controls the water was giving me a face splash, but the assistant was on top of drying me up. LOL. The only downside I feel this office has, is they collected my deductible on a routine x-ray and cleaning. I called my dental insurance, and they told me I should not have been charged, since it was routine. When I called the office for a reimbursement, the receptionist said they will reimburse me once the claim comes through which could take an average of 45 days. I have never encountered anything like this before for a routine cleaning and feel very discouraged with this policy. Otherwise, everything is good, and I would have given them 5 stars. read more

I made an appointment for a routine cleaning with creative smiles after my long time dentist no longer accepts my insurance. The staff took proper precautions as in taking temps, sanitizing and mandatory mask wearing .... that already was a big plus for me! Everyone has a fear of being in the dentist chair but let me tell you how great and friendly the staff and dr's are here! Dr Chung was very informative and professional. He answered all of my questions throughly with patience and grace. Steven, his dental assistant is awesome! Super friendly and made sure to ask if I was okay during my lengthy dental procedure. Oh and did I mention they have massage chairs rather than regular dental chairs?! Vanessa and Leslie up front are great and made me feel at ease while scheduling and going over my treatment plan.
