I paid a deposit on a weapon that was on back order. 4 months later I get an email to come in for a refund. After exchanging emails that I didn't mind waiting for Beretta to produce the weapon I was told NO! Come get your money or use for credit in store. I stand in line outside for 3 hours. I have been to the Ontario store on multiple occasions and each visit has been a NIGHTMARE. The only reason I gave them a start at all is because Yelp makes you give at least one. They never have what I am looking for and if I am lucky enough to get someone to help me after waiting FOREVER, they are usually unknowledgeable and inattentive. Also, if you are hispanic, expect to get ignored! My boyfriend and I stood at the counter for a good 25 minutes before someone even acknowledged us and there was at least 3 employees standing around doing nothing. I would not recommend this store for gun or ammo purchases. If you are looking for a good gun store with great service go to Warrior One in Riverside. Norris and Mike are awesome! read more

Had a great experience at Ammo Bros today. I had a few questions so I sent an email and immediately received a response that was very helpful. Everywhere you go there are lines and more delays than normal because of this Covid crap. When I was inside waiting for my turn to be helped everyone in the store was helping or answering questions. Customer service business can be hard and not everyone can do it. Gun business in this country right now, I tip my hat to the staff. Gavyn who helped me was extremely helpful, nice and while helping me was answering questions that other customers had. There is no customer service here. I ordered a gun 4 months ago online. Every single time I have tried to call them they do not pick up the phone. For 4 months no one picked up the phone to give me an update on the status of the gun I purchased. When you go to the physical store, there is always a line of 20 people. I don't get it. To get info on my order status at somewhere else takes 3 minutes max over the phone. But this place makes you go to the store and wait hours for an update, and when you find out your gun isn't ready after 4 months, you wait in line for hours and leave empty handed. I don't get how another gun store hasn't opened and taken these guys customers because I'm actively looking for another place to buy my gun. read more

Attn: WOMEN WITH DIFFERENT LAST NAME THAN ON BIRTH CERTIFICATE; I could deal with waiting in line for over 2 hours to purchase a pistol at the end of the new year & beginning of a new President... no biggie. 1st time I came in after a 2.5 hour wait (on a Sat) found out my license has 'Federal Limits apply', fortunately had my birth certificate with me. Put my pistol on lay away cause I freakin forgot my Safety Certificate. Came back on Monday to bring my firearm certificate (after a 2 hr wait), purchased my gun & was told I needed to bring in my Marriage Certificate, no other details... come back 12 days later to pick up my pistol (2 hr wait), provide my marriage certificate & am told that it's not valid cause it does not have a name amendment... WTF?! I provided every single document they requested, not only that I was on the Dept of Justice website that clearly just reads 'Marriage Certificate' no other document! I asked them to show me their Dept of Justice guidelines & after 1/2 hour they couldn't provide crap! I asked for a refund. I argued with them that I know for a fact that I'm not the only woman who is going through this, how do they not give you detailed information? I could have gone to DMV & gotten my Real ID or gone to USPS & gotten my US Passport & gotten my pistol within the time allotted for the background check. I still could go and just re-pay the $55, but not with a bunch of uneducated youngsters. I'm out $131 dollars after restock fee & backround fee, but I'd rather be out this much than to give them my business. I go to Turners all the time & wanted to give AMMO BROS a shot, it wasn't worth it. Lesson learned. Worst part is that the gal who comes out with a clip board told me that this was an on going issue and so did the guy helping me. If that's the case why not tell your female customers? read more

I used to patronize the Cerritos store when they first opened and bulk ammo at a decent price was tough to come by. This store is a huge step up in terms of size and item selection. They still are "focused" on the black rifle thing, which is great because not enough gun shops are. Now here is the good stuff. They are friendly. There is a big change going on in the world of firearms dealers in so-cal - there are tons of them now. Capitalism is slowly weeding out the bad service shops, and providing better options. Bottom line is I ma glad to see Ammo Bros succeeding where other fail. A+ read more

Really cool staff that work here. Helpful, attentive and gun knowledgeable. I hate going to a place where I ask for stuff and employees give you the deer in the headlights look. Not here, these people are good. The location is a bit secluded but it's not too bad. Easy get access. They got some really funny bumper or back window suckers for our cars up on a wall. Hello ammo bro's employees that's all you are an employee of a business in some list that thinks you're essential. I was warned not to come here because the employees think they can walk on water, well they can't.. all I needed was ammo, but this clowns knowing they have a bunch of people waiting to get in, they put your name on some list and never call you . You walk inside and ask if they can help you , and you see people window shopping and no one helping them to move them along or answer their questions making the 5 people already inside take longer.. you look at the hero (essential) employees risking their life for a buck and they are all congregating, huddled in a circle tighter than an NFL Team .. so I ask , you're so worried about the pandemic, why do you not have sanitizing stations, keep social distancing and whatever else crap you've been fed by the news media . Came to purchase and I wish it was a smooth transaction. I get the waiting which I'll get to later. But purchasing a piece was so difficult especially with the employee Kyle. He might've been new but he was very edgy and awkward. He wouldn't even let me hold the piece I wanted to buy. He started aiming and cocking it at us probably inadvertently, but saying that he should've bought it. As a worker, you should know better or have your act straight. Geez what a horrible way to represent your company. Had 2 visits. One for the purchase and one for the pickup. Total wait was over 5 hours. After signing in I waited another 45 minutes and was skipped over multiple times. I just moved here so we are looking for new stores to purchase at. Great Service All Around, Employees are knowledgeable and very helpful (been asked about 10 times if I needed help with anything as I browsed the store) Prices are great, and they're willing to price match the local competition for a better deal, good to know if you don't want to waste gas looking around for a better deal! They dont answer the phone because theres too many customers? ...well if you answered the phone...maybe everyone wont have to come to your store. I ordered a handgun. I was given an ETA of 60 days. Its been over 60 days and I want to check on the status of my order...i mean...I did pay for the gun in full. Buttt...theyre not answering their phones, emails, maybe homing pigeons? Write me a letter! Anything! So I will now be going to the location to cancel my order and getting my money back. And a bit of advice, Radio silence is a losing customer service policy. read more

Great place to purchase your guns, ammos and accessories. Staff are great and have a lot experience with weapons and are very professional. I took a rifle in that I had bought 2 weeks prior because it was badly jammed. Turns out that the ammo I had bought from another store was to blame. This guy Eddy gave me the 411 and went step by step on how to break my rifle apart, and I also got advice from the other guys, Seth and Art on what type of ammo that I should use for my particular rifle. I originally boycotted this store during the ammo scare, but returned to collect petition signatures for the VetoGunmageddon movement. I was impressed to be able to witness their great customer service over the course of two FULL days. Since they were so helpful and accommodating to our Pro-2nd Amendment event, I ended up purchasing two firearms from them. They were knowledgeable, helpful and even upon pickup they were quick to help me. Their prices are competitive and they even price match!!! I will be returning. P.S. I went Wednesday first thing , when they opened (10am) and had the whole store to myself. I bought a shotgun and will get it in two weeks. The sales rep Alan was great, let me check out the shot guns and of course the one I really wanted was over a grand. But I went for a Tristar cobra shot gun nice one for $298 which is the going market price. Paper work went great which is time consuming. Thanks Alan. I'm female and I know nothing about guns. But I was interested to learn and buy one. I went with my husband. It wasn't busy when we went in. And we started off by looking at some safes down an aisle. A sales rep came up to help us with any questions. He didn't really know much about safes so we asked him if he could help us with looking at glocks. So he went behind the glass counter and we told him we're looking for a glock that is easy to handle for a girl's hands and reasonably lightweight. He was doing pretty well and was decently knowledgeable. And I was pretty darn close to making a purchase. Then one of his colleagues walked by him and was straightening up boxes, etc. The sales guy that was helping us turned to him and said "It's a cookie." completely out of nowhere, random phrase, no cookies in sight. His colleague just looked at him and said huh? And the sales guy attempted to discreetly nod at my husband and I which he failed at. His colleague sort of just smiled and went back to doing what he was doing. I'm not sure what a cookie is. If it's a secret code word for a newbie that doesn't know anything about guns. Or if it's a derogatory term to call a female. But it completely turned me off from the sale. I told my husband I wanted to think about it. And we basically left. read more

Walked out!!!! I purchased an AR-15 for Christmas and was very excited to go purchase Ammo and look for rear and front sights. So my first thought was to go to a place called Ammo Bros. makes sense right?!?! Its about 10 minutes away from where I live and I wanted to try something different from Turners. So upon walking in there is a number pull station, so I grab a number. A staff member asked me "are you picking up a firearm?" I said no. So he said "okay let me get that number and the sign in sheet is all the way down at the end of the counter." Okay, so I walk clear across the store to a sign that basically says sign in here if your not picking up a gun. Well, there was not sign in sheet nor a staff member waiting for me. So I waited there for about 5-7 minutes to see if someone would walk by, but all the action was at the front and middle of the store. So I browsed around being that this was my first but to my disappointment, everything I needed was behind a counter and required a staff member. So i came to the realization I wasn't going to get any help. Today this place was only focused on folks that were buying guns, which sucks. Bc not taking care of the regular customers, you could lose out on potential gun sales in the future. It could be an Ar-15 rush, who knows. However, it was a bad first impression. I purchased a Springfield 1911 TRP about 3 weeks ago from (Grab-a-gun) online and had it shipped to Ammo Bros Ontario for the transfer. Once the firearm arrived I was called and in informed I could come pick it up. I have been to this Ammo Bros location 2 times before in the past and bought an LMT AR-10 from them and some ammo. Well, once I walked in to pick up my new 1911 I felt a lack of friendliness. I was dealing with one guy who was handling the DROS paperwork and he had an extremely bad attitude towards me and was beyond rude! To be honest he was a total prick! He had me do the safety handling on the new firearm and was acting like a real idiot. Making comments and being a real smart ass. He really pissed me off so that will be the last time I'm going to that Ammo Bros. The girl at the counter was nice and the other guy was cool but this one particular guy has zero ppl skills and needs to go get a job at McDonalds where he belongs. This experience made me realize how much I really like Turner's Outdoorsman because staff there treat you with respect and act happy to see you unlike this place. Not to mention they had pretty much zero selection of handguns under the counter. Also, I asked the same rude moron if they had any hi-cap magazines in stock because it was during freedom week in California when you could legally buy normal/hi-cap magazines do to the recent Federal court ruling by Judge Benitez...and the idiot said whatever we have here is what we have here...so I responded will you getting more in? He rolled his eyes and exhaled and repeated whatever we have here is what we have here...total moron! I finished up the process got my new gun and left very irritated. This place sucks and I would discourage anyone from going to that Ontario location. Ammo Brothers charged more for my Glock but other shops required a special order and I didn't want the hassle. The salesman (Charles?) was helpful and showed me a few guns on my short list. He never tried to influence my decision by pushing overstocks or his favorites. The background check and pick-up went as expected. Their target ammunition, especially .45 ACP, is very pricey so I suggest shopping elsewhere. Personally, I prefered buying from salesmen in their late-20's and 30's because older ones tend to be preachy and can't keep their political, pro-NRA opinions to themselves. read more

He talked about killing stray dogs and wasnt very pleasant. The manager decided to give me a $40.00 discount but the sales person rang it up as only $20.00. The guy was a dick but the store is pretty cool. Its a gun shop, seems like people that work at these places are on the defensive or something stupid. Unfortunately this is not a place I would give business to ever again. The AR craze had many of us looking to find specific equipment, and when we called in there, we thought we found what we were looking for. They had a "special offer" to special order an incomplete AR that wouldn't be available anywhere else. A pay up front, then come in and fill out paperwork once they get the serial number and wait the 10 days for the background check. Not even a full two days later we call and ask about cancelling without paying a fee because Turner's has the same gun for $100 less and completed. They say come in and the manager would approve it. We go in, they refuse to uphold what they said over the phone, and turns out they haven't even processed the request to order the gun and sent the paperwork in. It's literally sitting in an outgoing pile. Only thing they've done is charge our cards. After arguing and trying to work something out they decide they'll give us store credit for the charge fee at best so our money is still spent in store. Poor management, poor quality, poor customer service. I've gone back in to use the store credit because it's not going to go to waste. I asked about a gun and they all told me they didn't know if they had it. Look around a minute and see it right in their display. Also showed them something I was interested in on display and they said they only had a box but not the actual product. At this point I just feel like I was cheated and that they're not interested in continuing receiving business. Also their prices aren't worth going out of your way for. I've seen better at numerous other places. I'd say I'm at fault for not doing my research before going there, but otherwise I just I feel I've been cheated. Maybe this is just my experience, but I have never received this kind of service at any other arms dealer, chain or private, and that says enough about what kind of business this is.
