And the only reason I didn't want to make a fuss about it and have them do my nails over was because I had my three year old daughter with me and she was ready to go! I only came back because my usual spot was closed for Labor Day weekend other than that I wouldn't of step foot in there. The guy that sits in the back, on the left, walks with a limp...horrible! Tina knows how to do eyebrows! She actually knows how I like it, I don't even have to tell her how I want them cause she knows already the shape I want it. I will definitely not be returning to this nail salon. This place isn't sanitary at all. They're equipment doesn't even look like it's been thoroughly cleaned. The towels on the back of the massage chairs stay the same for each customer. I was just thinking the entire time that as soon as I got home I was going to take a looooong shower after getting a pedicure from them. Not only is it dirty, the employees are so rude. The lady kept yanking my leg to pull it closer to her instead of asking me to go closer. I wouldn't even complain if she had actually done a decent job! The only good thing about this place is the friendly eyebrow lady. Just make sure to get them threaded and not waxed if you don't want them too thin. read more

I stopped by this nail salon because it was close To my home despite all the bad reviews. I said to myself, not everyone has the same experience. And I was right. The lady who did my toes did an excellent job. She did as I requested and even made sure I was satisfied after every process she did. There was no pulling of my leg, no aggressive pedicure. I don't understand what the other yelpers experienced but my experience was nothing like theirs.. Also despite the lady not speaking much English, and just smiling and nodding her head I was able to Get my pedicure. Wil definitely be going back. read more

Yesterday, My BFF had her pedicure done yesterday. Had the gel put on her toe nails. In order to dry the gel. They put her toes under the lamp. The lamp tipped over twice. Burning her tips of her big toes. She told . . .well yelled out. Your burning me! But the pedicure lady did not show any concern or asked what happen . Today we returned to the shop. Again my BFF vouced her concern with the man who sita at the dirst table. He said that the manager was not there. To come back tommorrow. When BFF pointed out the pedicurist lady. He said she did not speak English. Do not go to this shop. Also it does not appear to be clean. This was the first time going to Amor Nail. It was recommended. No star. Straight up this place is my LAST RESORT it was just a gel manicure and my hands are in pain. The sweet little old lady that they have sitting in the back needs to go honestly...I pay for a service and I'm not trying to be rude to her but her eye sight is not good and her way of handling hands/nails is way OFF. I asked him about my real/natural nail which was Hurting Sooo bad for days after he did them . He Felt I Was Accusing Him of My messed up nail. I told him you did my nails and this is how my natural nail turned out .My nail was split in half & turning a color.. He Went off yellin at me & said Im not doing ur nails .He was sooo rude .. & No One said anything. Waited another 30 mins . other guy refused to do mines.. i not once yell at anyone & i was still willing to pay.. 2 ppl went infront of me who came in after me .. I had enough .. Ive gaven this place a couple of chances and yet they still don't change.I went in to get a pedicure and the water was too hot to soak my feet in.I asked the lady for cold water and she kept on putting warm water.I kept telling her i couldn't put my feet in there because it was too hot and she didnt understand.After i was moving the chair control for massage and she asked is it okay?And supposedly she tried to adjust the massaging settings but the massaging chair didnt even work and they looked like new.She knew it wasnt working and ignored it.I personally wouldn't recommend this place.I only came because its close by but i usally go to nails place in gardena.Save your money and read reviews off of yelp before. read more

I was asked what I wanted I told them gel mani and I lik my mani done right because that's why I'm paying you to do it, My nails are thin and I tried to tell these people this but nobody listened because they pretend not to understand and don't bother to make any type of conversation with you which was weird because I was a new client instead they where too busy fighting over who was going to do a daisy sewing I wanted over black gel. They finally introduced me to a lady that could do the design she assured me she could. I thought I would be seated in hdrbwork area as she assured me she could do the design I assumed she was going to do my mani. NOPE. They sat me Down with a guy a dark skinned older Asian dude that sits in the middle with big ol teeth, don't know his name and sits closer to the pedicure chair he just looked at my nails and asked me if it was gel I confirmed and he went on to taking it off the the filing machine which was very painful !! I kept telling him it hurt and he just said "ok ok"! I reminded him my nails are thin but he proceeded to file it off slowly. As if that was any better. By the time he was done my nails where so thin and uneven. With bits of my old blue polish on the side of almost all my nails. I had to keep pointing out to him where to take off the polish ... and he was getting annoyed by me?? He continued to file my thin ass fucking nails HARDD AF !!!!! Sisters I do not lie when I tell you this motha fucka was going ham with the hard squared filer !!! The rough one !! Never did he bring out the smooth finishing one I could not believe it ! Some of my nails where squared !! The others where oval ! it was so bad. He kept applying the black little by little which made it clumpy !!! Oh and the worst part was that my thumb nail was broken right before the border and instead of closing it with some primer and gel he just dropped two drops of I KID YOU NOT SISTERS CRAZY GLUE. He put crazy glue on my open nail bed edge cut . I was appalled . I couldn't believe it. My once beautiful squared nails that just needed a simple mani where destroyed : by this man and his crazy filing. My nails where's sore I kept having to tell him to paint my nails right. And when they finally where ready for a design the lady that was supposed to do my nails was suddenly someone else another rude lady that wanted nothing to do with me because I tried to show her the design I wanted and she just did her own thing . And it came out horrible. I'm the end I payed 30 dollars and the only time they talked to me nicely in English was when I was about to Walk out ! "Can I see your nails ?" "Oh they are beautiful !!! " nope they where not: they just wanted a tip. And I was not about to even go there. by the second day my nail break opened more because I'm a dental assistant and use my fingers a lot: and today when I went back to complain to them a day later they where trying to give me attitude when I got there for them to fix my nail again. They assigned me to the same man who messed up my nail in the first place and the same shitty design lady. And he coated my nail with acrylic and left it looking super bad and uneven and the daisy's the lady re did looks like shit. I would never recommend this place to anyone ! This salon is terrible and they do not clean their tools. My aunt went just yesterday and was in the hospital today due to an infected cut. The lady cut her and never apologized but told her to soak in peroxide for three days and itll be fine. The doctor said if she even waited another couple hours that infection would have leaked into her blood stream causing a variety of other complications. If you want to keep your life and limbs I suggest going anywhere but here. read more

This has to be the worse shop in Compton. My experience was horrific to say the least. Do yourself a favor and drive past this business. The employee never used any liquid soap for my manicure or pedicure. She did my manicure standing at the spa chair which means I never made it to a table. She only used glue to repair terrible cracks in my nails, not a coating, just glue. She left excess nail polish on the side of my fingers and my nails were sharp around the edges. I actually scratched myself. The owner said she would make it right and put a costing on my cracked nails if they cracked again. She said the operator didn't understand my request to repair my nails. The operator is supposed to be the expert and should have known what to do. Two of the glued nails cracked the same day after I left the nail shop. We Were Told We Were Being Charged 88 For Everything ( My Receipt Even Said 88 ) But Something Told Me To Check My Debit Card App & It Showed As "106.88" Was Taken From This. & They Refused It.
