I called in the morning to request someone to come out and they were able to accommodate same day service. Not only that, they called me within 15 minutes of arriving from the window they said they were going to come and Kevin was right on time. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU HAVE A HOME WARRANTY!! I called this company to have them come out to look at my dishwasher and told them up front that I have a home warranty which requires specific information on the invoice. He said "no problem, we work with home warranties all the time". Jeff came to my house and seemed to be really knowledgeable about my dishwasher, but he was refusing to write up any information that my home warranty requires (cost of labor per hour, reason for failure, damages part, etc). He was arguing with me in my kitchen telling me that he doesn't work for my warrant company. I got really uncomfortable as my husband wasn't home and basically told him that I can't use him if he won't write anything down. He wrote the bare minimum and I called AMPM right after he left to let them know how rude and unprofessional he was. Outsourced their services during Corona virus. We live in Camarillo and the techs that were sent to my house were from the valley and really did not know what they were doing with our dishwasher. Their first official act as dishwasher techs was to call in and ask about Bosch dishwashers. Know your appliance parts prices before calling this group if they continue outsourcing. To the owner of this company, know who you're outsourcing to and if they know their stuff. Interview every tech yourself. The techs themselves were nice enough, but the people pulling their strings felt like they would fleece me in a second. I would like to pay good solid money for same-day service rather than being nickel and dimed across a week washing dishes by hand. The total cost of service on any appliance should never be more than half the price of a new one. read more

We were thoroughly impressed with Gary from AMPM Appliance Service! Our dryer was running, but not heating ... just as we were leaving town for a few weeks. I was worried that we'd get home and have to get an all-new dryer, but we found AMPM and gave them a call. Our Whirlpool Duet Steam dryer wasn't drying the clothes as much as it used to. My wife found a recommendation from the local Conejo Valley Mother's Group, and we submitted a lead through Yelp to this company. We spoke with them, and reserved an appointment for the very next day, between 11am-2pm. Gary, the service repair technician, arrived around 1pm. He listened to my description of the issue. He showed me that the ignition would glow (attempt to ignite), but was not turning the heater on. The glow meant that the ignition was fine. The fact that it didn't go out completely meant that the vent wasn't clogged. Thus, the only possible issue was the electrical coils, which go bad occasionally (not often on this model, but sometimes things happen). He gave me the $20 off (since there was this deal on Yelp wherein I could buy a coupon for $10 off, and get $20 off), and charged me for the service + tax. Also got a 1 year warranty. Gary was logical, efficient, clean, and communicated well. A pleasure to have fix our dryer issue. He also mentioned that another of his colleagues works on air conditioners, and I could use one of the coupons he left with me, to get 10% off. Yay! read more

Our front loading LG washer didn't finish its cycle and gave us an LE error code. Plus it was also emitting a faint burning odor. I called AMPM, they had Gary come out within a couple of hours. Gary started the machine on a cycle and watched and listened. He nodded his head, grimly, several times before telling me the main bearing needed to be replaced and it would be between $600-800. When I told him a new machine of the same model would cost $650, he agreed that was the better deal. The service call was $55 to confirm that the machine needed to be replaced and I consider it money well spent. Gary was pleasant, polite and gave me some advice on the replacement model.
