I do not give bad reviews. If fact, this is only my 2nd ever. My wife gave this guy Chris a shot twice at fixing our built in fridge for 2 separate issues over a few years. Both times he said nothing can be done and we needed a new fridge. He would not even help pull the unit away from the wall and she had to do it herself. One repair was to a circuit board. She ordered the part and my son soldered it. Fixed. But he took the $100 or whatever to come look. Works fine. Less than $20. The second time the housing for the filter was leaking. He said he needed a 2nd person to lift the fridge on its side and to order the part, Quoted over $1000, on top of the charge to show up and assess. A quick search and my wife found the OEM part. She replaced it herself and did not even have to move the fridge an inch. Less than $30. read more

You read through the reviews & there is a theme. "He saved me from an appliance that is at the end of its life", but you call to have your appliance to be fixed fixed for many reasons. Matching appliances, don't want to replace all to have same look, etc. -Then, he doesn't remove the appliances, have to have someone else remove???? -I had problem w my built in microwave, just a turn on switch?? He claimed he couldn't remove it by himself and I couldn't help him for liability reasons. After he left, took out 6 screws, removed the microwave and put it on a table in the garage to diagnose. Switched out the push button switches, good for bad, plugged it in & it turned on. Getting 2 new buttons from Amazon for 15$ & problem will be solved. Chris & Ana , both nice people. But, if you just want your applianced "fixed", may need another company. My dishwasher stopped working and gave me an error code. I scheduled US Appliance Repair per Bosch's website recommendation to come out and fix it. Chris, the owner, called me prior to his scheduled arrival time and asked several questions, ultimately advising me to buy a new one and not pay for his service call and the repairs. He said the dishwasher was already 7 years old and the repair would likely cost more than it made sense to spend. I was blown away. He was so honest and forthright. I spoke to Ana about my refrigerator not working. She was very nice and I wanted to use a local business. She scheduled Chris to come out a couple of days later but they had an earlier opening and scheduled me for that appointment. I appreciated that they tried to get me in early. Chris calls me while he's on his way. Again, a nice person as was his wife Ana. I explained the issues I'm having and that it's an older 48" GE Monogram side by side built in refrigerator. Chris offers to still come out but explains the refrigerator is old and just buy a new one. He believed the freon was leaking, or the compressor was bad. He said he wanted to save me money by telling me to just buy another refrigerator. These things are about $14K. But, in fairness to Chris, he said he likes to save his customers money and he would still come out and recharge the freon but the system is just going to keep breaking down but he will still come out if I would like. Again, he was friendly and maybe he was really trying to save me the $85 service call. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt. But, before telling me to go buy a $14K fridge maybe he should've come out and made a proper assessment. I then called a guy in Thousand Oaks with apparently years of experience. Being kind of handy myself, the guy diagnoses the problem over the phone Long story short, I blew the dust off the fan and coils and the refrigerator is working perfectly. I really like working with local, family owned businesses but this experience fell a little short. read more

Very unprofessional. Broke my washer and left. No one is responding. Stay away! They came to my house...changed a few parts and grabbed a part with them and left. Told me they have to call and get parts for upgrade. Then after two weeks calling them back and forth they told me you broke your washer and it's not under warranty anymore!!!!! I was shocked and said your technician opened up the washer and took part from it. He was like the technician reported that the washer was open . And then he hung up on me. Im filing a complaint against this company so they learn their lessons not to steal and not to be a thief. read more

I was told this company was a factory authorized repair service for my appliance, which is untrue. When the repair man, Chris, arrived, he presented me with a waiver to sign which covered him for any damage he might cause to my appliance, fixtures, flooring or cabinets. Further he let me know that his work is unwarranted. I told him on the phone before he came that the appliance weighs roughly 1500 to 2000 pounds and he assured me "no problem" he pulls these out all the time by himself to work on them. However, after arriving, he told me he never pulls out these appliances and he is unable to do so without two people and that he was not going return with two people... I need to call a different company. Complete waste of time and money. Update 9/17/20: Don't believe the 5 star reviews. This was one of the best experiences with a repair company. The owners Anna and Chris could not have been more helpful and kind. They are very flexible with the scheduling of an appointment and very quick turn around with the parts that were needed to be ordered for our washing machine. Chris additionally looked at our dryer and told us what we needed to get to stop the lint building up, and looked at our stove that had an issue. Super nice and great to chat with! And Anna follows up with the status of parts ordered and scheduling of next appointments and why there was a small little leak due to soap build up on the glass. Thank you so much US Appliance! The stars are for arriving on time as promised, having the parts to complete the job on the spot quickly and leaving a clean area behind. The biggest disappointment was that upon his arrival, Chris had us sign a waiver which among other things indicated they only guarantee their work for 7 days! Yes 7 days! Of course by that time you're on the hook for the $75 diagnostic call and have set aside time from work to do this, so really u don't have a choice but to agree. Then was the next surprise; the whopping $278 bill for fixing our dryer with the thumping noise. Chris said he had to change 2 rollers at 19.99 plus tax. The rest was labor ($225) for 30 minutes of labor! That's a rate of about 450/hr! Finally to top it off I had to add an additional 5% if I decided to pay by credit card! Really?! We paid by check. I would not mind paying the high amount so much if I was guaranteed 90/120 days of labor which is customary. I don't get all the 5 stars reviews for them. read more
