Our dishwasher went out. I sent out a request on Yelp, and had a zillion responses. AMPM said they could come out the next day, and had excellent reviews, so I took a chance with them. Very glad I did. They were highly professional, messaged all pertinent info and responded almost immediately to my texts to them. Kevin came out and diagnosed the problem, which requires an expensive part. The dishwasher is old, and so are we, so rather than spend all that money on a machine that may have something else go wrong with it at any time, we're considering replacing it with a new one (after we'd rashly said, yeah, go ahead and order the part). When I told them that we're reconsidering and to hold the order, they said: sure, just tell us what you decide, and if it's to get a new machine, we'll waive the diagnostic fee we charged you. He did a fantastic job -- arrived on time, texted before he showed up, was very knowledgeable and professional, and best of all got our dryer working again quickly and gave us tips for how to avoid the problem in the future. I've used AMPM appliance repair on multiple occasions. Always they have been great to work with and very reliable and responsive. They have fixed my old school washing machine 3 times and have recommended not to replace unless required because the new ones just don't last as long. I like that they're honest about what the new machines do versus the old. Well, this was the same situation with my refrigerator. I have a whirlpool gold double door refrigerator. It's old school, but they again stated to me that the new ones don't work for as long as the old school ones do. The water on my refrigerator was not working however it was producing ice so I did not understand the problem and it turns out that I needed a new motherboard/computer in the door to ensure the waterline would get enough power to allow it to open and let the water flow through. Kevin was not sure if he could find the parts. However, he asked me for some time to research finding replacement parts for my fridge. He asked for a deposit and said it would be applied to the total price. Within three days he had found the replacement part outside of their regular supplier online. I was informed that they had found the part and they were calling to schedule when they could come back out. Unfortunately, I was picked up for jury service and was completely booked from 9 to 4:30 for the foreseeable future. AMPM informed me that they could schedule a 5 PM appointment which I gladly accepted. Kevin with AMPM appliance returned and replaced the damaged equipment and "Walla" my waterline is working again! Kevin is always kind, knowledgeable, and courteous. I highly recommend AMPM appliance service for any and all of your appliance repairs.
