My friend took me here as her favorite Thai spot. She was not lying. The food was so delicious. The inside is small, but we were seated right away. Servers are kind and helpful. The Tom Kha soup was sooooo good. A little tangy a little sweet. We got It with tofu. I liked that they used firm tofu, as It gave the soup some texture. I could eat this soup every day in the winter. YUM. We ordered the drunken noodles and pad see ew. Both great as well. Spice level isn't anything crazy FYI. Does Amy's still pack a delicious punch in 2023? YES! Do I have to force myself out of ordering my favorites because they're so delicious? Also, yes! Have I ever had a bad dish from Amy's? NEVER! So my go-to is their Pad See Ew. Also, how embarrassing- I'm salivating as I'm writing this. Most recently I had the Duck Basil. So fantastic, the duck was perfectly cooked with the right amount of heat. A friend of mine had ordered the Duck Panang Avocado right before my dish. So although mine was fantastic- his had this little extra touch of magic to it. I think next time I go I will order this, just to have a bit more for me. We had sides of tasty coconut rice. The inside of the space is nice but not terribly big. So potentially plan in advance or make reservations. Finally do like we do and be sure to return! I've got high hopes for Amy Thai. There arent too many thai places in flatbush, so it is very much needed. First off the staff are all super friendly. Your greeted with smiles and they check to see if you're alright just enough. The place is on the smaller side seating about 20. The food overall is pretty good I would just suggest they dial up the flavors a bit. I didnt get the kicks of heat or sour when I wanted them which is a hallmark of thai food. The wings were good and so was the laab (minced chicken salad). The khao soi was really where I felt the boldness of flavors were absent. I'm thrilled that my neighborhood finally got a Thai restaurant! I decide to take my food to go since the restaurant was full. It looks like business is really treating them well! I ordered shrimp pad Thai and crispy spring rolls. Everything tasted delicious! The portions are also pretty filling. I ended up having enough for the next day. The food here is also priced great! My shrimp pad Thai only run me $11. My only gripe is that they don't open until 5 PM. I realized this when I had stopped by one day during the afternoon. I ordered takeout but the tiny indoor seating area was completely filled. No social distancing and everyone was cramped in the small space.. I had the basil fried rice and lavender lemonade. The fried rice was really good and had plenty of shrimp. I have a high tolerance for heat and it was pretlavender. The portion size was just enough. The lavender lemonade tasted like pure sugar water without a hint of lemon or lavendar. I wanted to love here but my drunken noodles were just average. The noodles were broken up in a weird way I hadn't experienced previously. Seemed like an attempt to use less noodles to stretch the dish? I should've asked for mild heat instead of medium, so when my a bit too spicy dish arrived, I tried to just power through. I'd also ordered the vegetable spring rolls which comes with a tasty but somewhat spicy sauce, so I just wanted something milder for my entree. A few bites in, I asked to see the menu to order something less spicy with the intention of boxing up my drunken noodles to eat later. I inquired about the heat level of the green curry. Not sure if the server thought I wanted to swap out dishes (I wanted to keep both and take the drunken noodles to go. Just didn't want spicy at the moment) but he pretty much said the green curry was spicy and couldn't be adjusted and that was kind of it. Kind of avoided the fact that I'd mentioned that my noodles were a bit too spicy and that I'd asked for the menu and was now perusing different menu items. Overall a 3.5/5 for me :"( Rounded up just because it's slightly affordable and close to Prospect Park! Our table ordered: - Tofu Pad Kee Mao - Tofu Pad See Ew - Tofu Basil Fried Rice Didn't taste bad, but I think I was underwhelmed by the flavor profile of the noodles and fried rice. The names are pretty much exactly the same minus one letter, lol. The food menus and even the drinks are almost exactly the same too. However the quality of the food you get here doesn't add up. Weeeeeeird. Meh. I've tried this place out and every time it's pretty average. I'd be interested to know if it was this location that opened first or the other one in the area that I personally prefer. It'd be funny if it's actually the same owners because the names and menus are very similar. However, the food from this restaurant is just okay. I had their fish garlic once with the sauce on the side and didn't like it. The fish just wasn't good. I've had their pad see ew as well. This place is a solid. I ordered a wonton soup, mango salad and green curry with tofu. The food was so good I could not process. Especially.. the mango salad! Seriously, I had to portion this one out so I could have it the next day. I enjoyed everything and am eager to try more of the menu. I ordered takeout from here for dinner this week. For appetizers, I ordered the Massaman Curry and the spring rolls. For entrees, I ordered the Pineapple Fried Rice with duck and the Salmon clay pot. Wow! The salmon clay pot was so delicious! It was so flavorful and the salmon was cooked perfectly. The pineapple fried rice was okay. My hubby really enjoyed the duck. I have been dining here every Thursday and Sunday after work. Today was the first day that the service was horrible! I have always heard about this one waiter that's very rude and sassy, in the 3 months dining here I have never met his acquaintance until today! Very nasty! I had ordered the muscles with vegetables and white rice and the seasoning was just globbed all over the food. I waited for him to come to the table and I pointed it out to him, he sucked his teeth and began yelling at me "what's the problem with the food? What's the issue?" He then took the plate to the back and came back with a smaller portion all over the vegetables were gone. They didn't make a new plate, they just cooked it again. I said this isn't the same thing I've been ordering this same meal for 3 months again he starts yelling, I started crying I was in total disbelief. I wanted to tell any snatch him up but there's a police station on the corner. The place is beautiful! Ambiance a solid A but today the meal was horrible and salty! And the waiter was rude and sassy. Now I know why the place is empty 90% of the time. Also they have a table in there where they store all of the employees coats and belongings near a table that is eating never sit near that one it's bikes boxes and papers all in that area. It takes away from the ambiance. The food way way to salty today! Never going back I'll stick to Japanese food! They're more pleasant. read more

I would like to preface this by saying I have been a customer for the past 4 years. Their customer service wasn't always the best. But I didn't think it was this piss poor. I placed an order for delivery through their app. After an hour and 30 minutes, I never received my food and contacted them. The lady who answered - picked up stating they were closed. She then proceeded to be short, dismissive and impatient. I was told it's on the way and go look out for the driver. Two hours later, I called twice and it rang over 30 times before someone answered. I was then told to go check my door and that it was left there. After being persistent on the phone with them to again check, I overheard the delivery driver state that he handed the food to someone and didn't first call to inform me that he had arrived. Whoever answered scolded him for not calling and then told me I would have to call back tomorrow for a refund, as if I had made the mistake. The next day I called at noon (2 hours after they opened) and that individual stated my refund was processed. When I shared that I didn't receive an email notification/receipt of this transaction, she was also dismissive- as if I was being impatient. Order at your own risk. Your food may or may not show up, but they'll be sure to be brusque with you rather than figuring out what's going on and rectifying it appropriately. read more

Amy Thai bistro was.... eh. It was okay, but nothing I'd go out my way for, unfortunately. For reference, I ordered the shrimp pad Thai, fried dumplings and Thai ice tea. Let's start with the pad Thai.... Very TANGY. I've actually never had pad Thai with that much tang, maybe it was the tamarind in the sauce? Not entirely sure but it was tangy and nutty and my personal palette didn't care for it. If those flavor profiles are your thing though, then you'll absolutely love this pad Thai because it has plenty of it! For that, I'm docking 2 stars, as this was suppose to be the star of the show and it just wasn't. Not an authentic flavor profile in my opinion, but than again, maybe mine was a fluke? I don't know. On a much higher note.................. The fried dumplings with the sweet chili sauce was FIRE. Sooo good, but sooooo tiny. These are the tiniest dumplings I've ever had but they were delicious, so I can look past that. We will just rename them "tiny delicacies". Okay. Rant over. Back to the flavor profile lol savory, well seasoned and nicely fried aka crisp. Loved everything about it! I've been to many Thai restaurants, and the taste is definitely on par with authentic THAI dumplings, so definitely expect all those wonderful Thai spices and aromas to be present in these dumplings. YES!! The Thai ice tea was great! The perfect ratio of tea to creamer. Loved it! Believe it or not, this is a big deal because I've definitely been to Thai restaurants with bizarre tasting Thai tea and coffee. (One tasted fizzy, like soda. Yuck was an understatement). Good on them for making something so traditional, so delicious and sticking with what's NOT broke. It was a beautiful addition to a simple meal. Overall, I'll be back to give it another fair chance as the pad Thai was the one and only item that underwhelmed me. I am so elated to be writing this review. I was walking by on my way to run in Prospect Park when I noticed this spot. I was super excited because Lefferts Gardens literally has every type of food you can think of except for Thai. I made a note to come back when I was hella hungry. I ordered Thai wings, shrimp pad Thai and mango punch. Everything is super delicious and authentic. On top of that the portions are pretty good. I was able to split my order in half. The food here is really, really, really good. Pumpkin dumpling and branzino are my favorite. Their imitation meat isn't my favorite, I recommend skipping that for vegetables or tofu instead. The ambiance is a little clinical, cold and seating is tight. read more

07.24.20 UPDATE: We got takeout again and avoided the specials, going straight for some Thai classics. This time we went with the Pad Thai with Chicken, Penang Curry with Veggie, and the Massaman Curry Roti with Chicken as a starter. Again, the order was fulfilled super quickly. I guess they learned from their previous rice mistake because they used a traditional "rice box" container (the generic ones you get from a Chinese take-out place) which made the rice much much less dense and dry this time. The Pad Thai was solid with all the correct flavours and the Penang Curry added a nice heat element. The curry's consistency was to my liking -- halfway between watery and thick. The roti curry's flavour was divine, and I would definitely come back for this -- I was surprised at how much chicken they supplied. I would even consider getting this started with a side of rice and calling it a night. All in all, Amy saved the day (or evening, rather) and improved from last time. read more

The worst Thai food I have ever had by a long shot. The tofu was incredibly tough to the point that it was inedible. The pad thai tasted as if the chef added an entire bottle of fish sauce. Each dish with the exception of the Massaman curry was room temperature. The only decent-sized portion was the pad Thai, which we just could not eat. To add insult to injury, they charged our group of 5 an automatic 20% gratuity even though the 5-month old clearly did not eat. The hostess /server did not appreciate our feedback but the waiter was sympathetic so I was prepared to leave a 20% gratuity anyway. Trust me, don't go. read more
