Myrtle Thai has quickly become one of my favorite Thai places! I ordered delivery take out several times from them and it always arrived fresh, hot, and delicious. Since I enjoyed the take out so much, I decided to also go in person and it did not disappoint at all. Some favorites I've had: - Curry puffs - Coconut soup (Tom Kha) - Pad see ew - Pad thai - Brooklyn fried rice The noodle dishes are excellent and large portions. Very solid! The Brooklyn fried rice is a green curry paste spicy fried rice and curry taste is really strong with a nice spice level. The curry puffs have a flaky soft pastry with flavorful filling and sweet dipping sauce. The tom kha is a favorite for my boyfriend and me. Perfect level of savory, sweet and sour. We get this every single time. I look forward to ordering more delivery and coming back to try their lunch specials which are a pretty good deal! The crab fried rice, duck curry, and eggplant basil also look excellent and we can't wait to try these too. The staff are very nice and provide excellent service. Got this spot for take out and it sucked. Tasted more like Chinese food. Not only that but it lacked flavor. The wings were soggy. Pad kee mao lacked sauce. Spicy basil fried rice wasn't spicy. A cute casual spot to grab some thai food. My friend and I came on a Sunday and we had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. Oddly there was one open in corner that seemed to be used for bags. When another party came in, it was odd that they were serviced first. It took a while to get someone to take our order. It seemed like the staff isn't consistent and the food comes out out of order. We ordered the duck curry and the crab fried rice. Both were solid but wished the duck was more tender. The mango sticky rice was a special and were excited for it, but found the fruit to be on the sour side. Overall, it was an ok experience. read more

We have dined in here and done take out. Insofar as internal ambience, not much to speak of, and a bit cramped seating-wise, but the food was pretty solid overall. Last time we did takeout, however, the experience was a disaster. Over 75 minutes, no food, we tried to call and got no answer/put on hold--I wound up having to go to the store to inquire; it took them a while, they assumed I was in the wrong, and eventually figured out the driver had left with the orders but had left behind our order. So I went home with our food; it was cold, they forgot a dipping sauce.... didn't get comped for anything, or really even much of an apology of any sort. I'll admit that, once reheated, the food was again pretty tasty,, but after this experience we are never going back, in person or otherwise! read more

If you live or work in the area, then you probably know about this spot. If not, you should def come in and give them a try. They have a lunch special that includes a small appetizer for about $11. The staff is welcoming & helpful. It's always nicely decorated with fresh flowers on each table. The special drinks are really good, although I haven't tried them all.. softly spoken and summer salt are very good & refreshing esp if you like lychee or passion fruit. I've come here a few times and my go to is the spicy green bean for lunch with chicken dumplings or the Asian broccoli with crispy chicken (instead of the pork) it's spicy so proceed with caution. But it is SOO GOOD! I've also recently tried the wonton soup which is a nice appetizer as well. There's a variety of great tasting things here & you can tell the neighborhood agrees. Wow what a lucky break! We were down the street at Space Club having fun with our kids and we realized we were all crazy hungry. Our friends who live in Brooklyn told us to go to this place and we are SO happy we did. Every item was delicious and our kids especially liked the lychee lemonade. We were a family of 4 (2 kids aged 13 and 7) and everyone else was a couple on a date, LOL. This is the BEST affordable Thai food in New York I've tried in 2024!! If it were near my home, I'd go every week! Every dish was a hit, with not a single miss. The Thai dumplings were juicy and reminiscent of dim sum, while the garlic wings were crispy and savory with a hint of Bonchon. The basil over rice featured crispy pork belly with a perfect balance of flavors, and the duck curry was rich and fruity with tender, crispy duck. The crab fried rice was wok-fried to perfection with lots of crab meat and eggs. The Thai boat noodle soup was uniquely spicy and savory, so good that we even drank all the broth! The mango sticky rice, our dessert, had sweet mango and perfectly cooked sticky rice with coconut milk. Really really really reliably good food. I love their lunch specials and I also really love the service here. I've tried most things on the menu and I've enjoyed almost all of it. The service here is very quick so you don't need to wait long for your food but the quality of it is not jeopardized in the quick turnaround. For food I would suggest the Pad See Ew with fried tofu and for drinks, I recommend the mango margarita. While the two pork belly dishes we ordered were a tad fatty and salty on their own, they paired wonderfully with rice. The fried fish, though a bit too crispy and dry for my taste, boasted excellent flavor. I would get the fish again, but will ask them to fry it for maybe 30 seconds less.
