Stopped in when randomly walking by. They were having a matcha collab dance party out front. Matcha selection was good and the vibes were nice. Staff were so friendly. Hope to come back for food soon!
There are so many great Thai restaurants in the city, but this one still stands out. The train car theme is a cute idea, and their food is delicious! Do not miss out on their Hor Mok. This is a must order and I haven't seen this dish in most other Thai places. So special and yummy!
We got takeout from Sukh tonight and everything was absolutely PHENOMENAL. Wowowowowow! Incredible! Stupendous! Tremendous! Every single dish was fantastic and came with little chili sauces or garnishes or spicy sauce etc which brought the dishes together beautifully. The hostess was extremely friendly and kind and gave her recommendation as well. She said takeout would be 15 minutes (it would be hour long wait to dine in at 8pm on a Thursday night). They were absolutely packed despite the time. We ordered the pad see ew with shrimp, the crab fried rice (amazing), the Pak Mor which is a sweet and savory rice roll that comes with coconut cream dipping sauce (drool worthy), and last but not least the Kao Tom Haeng which also comes with a tasty broth on the side. I'd say that the pad see ew was the weakest dish of what we ordered but it was still tasty. I think it would have been nicer with a different protein, perhaps chicken or tofu. My friends and I have never dined in but the ambience looks very warm and inviting. If you love delicious and flavorful food then this is the place for you! Look no further!! Highly recommend!!!! Ten outta ten!
Fine neighborhood Thai joint; nothing notable but nothing egregious. Fried branzino was a bit too greasy. Good flavor. Crab fried rice didn't have that much crab in it, and relied too much on the dipping sauce for flavor, but it was fine. Pad thai noodles chicken was rather bland and the noodles were clumpy.
Amazing Thai spot if you want to try the not so typical dishes 5 STARS for the Gor gluay, Pak Mor (sweeter coconut rice dish that I debated also getting do dessert!), Ma Praw Kau Gluer - interesting coconut appetizer (their appetizers were things we hadn't seen on a lot of menus and were all delicious!) We also enjoyed the green chicken curry (kang keaw wan gai), fried rice with pork (Khao pad Ron Pai), Khao Kai ro bert which is pretty spicy but tasty. I'm only bumping this review down a star because their pad see ew wasn't mind blowing but it was still solid! I'd come here for their unique menu items over the usual I've been here twice now and overall think it's one of the best Thai spots in Brooklyn. Love the ambiance as well since it's feels like you are in a train. Service was quick and they seated a group of 5 within 45 min without a Rez! Will be back!
I've heard that this spot is top rated in terms of Thai restaurants in NYC, so I was interested to try. I snagged a 5:30pm weekday reservation with 2 other friends. As soon as we arrived, we were escorted to a table. I've noticed that this restaurant seemed very authentic. They had dishes that I've never seen at other Thai spots. Their chefs are also from Central & Northeastern part of Thailand. So, they are cooking from their respective regions. The presentation of their dishes are all aesthetically pleasing. We decided to share a small plate of HOR MOK This tasted almost like a crab puree into a spoon sized portion. There's 7 pieces in one order. It was recommended to eat it all in one bite. It was great. Texture was very smooth in your mouth. Surprisingly, it had a spicy kick (but nothing too intense). I personally decided to try KHAO PAD MUN NEUR. This is a pricey dish, but very filling! It was said to have 2 pepper spice level to it, but I personally didn't find it very spicy. The rib eye was cooked just the way I like it - medium well (still with some redness in the inner portion). The meat had a perfectly charred/grilled exterior, but very soft to chew. This meat was probably the best part of the dish. Only slight complaint is that the rice was very saucy (almost a bit too much for my preference). But overall, I did enjoy it and was able to finish it, but left super full! Overall, I think it was worth a try. Their service is great. The servers are super great of making sure that your water is always topped up. They explained the recommended way to eat certain dishes. They were able to answer any questions that we had.
Stumbled upon this gem for dinner. We walked in without a reservation and sat at the bar. The inside felt like I was in a train car. The bartender took our order. He was friendly and very helpful. The dishes were all so flavorful. The appetizer we got was hor mok. It was the perfect pairing and balance of flavors. The larb was very spicy! Heed the warning, it is SPICY! The main star was the pla tod samun prai (branzino). This was my favorite dish! There were no traces of crumbs left behind, this dish was incredible! The herbs and sauce tied everything together. We were greeted and welcomed by every staff that passed by. Everyone was so friendly and their uniforms were so cute! I would return to Brooklyn for this place but with a reservation next time. Great vibes, food and service!

The Hor Mok is a must order. It was moist and packed with flavor and elevated by the branzino curry sauce. The Khao Hor Bai Buo was another standout w| rich fried rice with shrimp, chicken, Chinese sausage, taro, shiitake mushrooms, and salted egg yolk, all wrapped in a lotus leaf which added a subtle aromatic touch. The Pla Tod Samun Prai was also excellent, the branzino was bedded in this rich caramelized Thai sauce that gave it a fresh, flavorful contrast. The Pak Chong cocktail was smooth blend of bright herbal and citrus notes that paired nicely with the meal.
I came with for dinner with some friends and had a great time! The staff is really friendly and the atmosphere and aesthetic of the restaurant is really well done. We shared the Hor Mok (10/10 really flavorful with a slight kick) and gor gluay (10/10 I just wish there were more pancakes). Then I got the Khao tom haeng (6/10 I can't take spice very well and sadly it seemed that all the flavor of this dish would've been from the spicy sauce they put on the side so I want able to use it) I tried someone else's khao pad mun neur which had two chili signs but was not spicy at all! It was full of flavor and way better than mine. For dessert we all shared the mango sticky rice which was really good and refreshing!
Service was good, food was good. The fried tofu appetizer was delicious but the pad see you was ok. It says it was broccoli but there were inky the stems n no florets. That was disappointing

Short rib curry was the standout and both the hor mok app and lotus leaf wrapped rice were very unique, elevated yet not pretentious dishes. Need to come back to try the rest of the menu! Walked in on a Sat night and it was only a 15 min wait for bar seating. Bartender was super friendly, but hope to sit in one of the cute cozy booths next time!
Seen great reviews on yelp & wanted to give it try plus it was my anniversary. Walked in Friday afternoon it was steady, not crowded. We got seated right away, our server was really nice, forgot her name. The minute I seated down the vibe was dope. It was given industrial revolution train vibes. I luv the concepts & it was spacious. The food was really good. I ordered pas see ew, & my boo ordered duck w fried rice. The drinks was strong asf. I was litty. Overall I had good experience & ill definitely come back again.

The hor mok is a must to order!! it's so good. i've never had something like this before. every food we order is 10/10. the crispy pork is cooked well and the ped toon (duck breast) is so tender where you could pear it off with out any effort! love the decoration and vibe in side. the service is a bit rush though, like she kept asking us if we are ready to leave :( read more
NYC has many good Thai places, and Sukh does not dissappoint! Located in Brooklyn, Sukh has such a vast and interesting menu (including Thai classics), pointing out the locations of specific dishes each dish is locally from (so cool)! Every we ate here was great. We got the Hor Mok, Ped Toon, and some stuff off the seasonal winter menu. Everything was very flavorful and well done. Would defintiely suggest comming here - they are also dog friendly too! read more
Did a walk in on a weekday afternoon and we were able to get a table for 2 right away! The menu has a lot of unique and authentic Thai cuisine some which I haven't ever seen or tried before! I ended up trying the hor mok which was beautifully presented. It does have a slight kick as well - but overall a very yummy dish that has hints of coconut milk and a blend of spices! I also got the lunch special which came with a yummy salad and an appetizer and main! The curry samosas were so flaky and delicious. The pad see ew was also really good and had huge shrimps! This place was soooo delicious! Went after a long shift at work in my scrubs and had a great meal. I got their Halloween special themed drink and it was actually a well balanced and thought out drink. Only downside was all their drinks were $18 which is just a touch on the high side but then again we are in downtown Brooklyn. The crab meat appetizer was so interesting, it was like a steamed fish ball with a generous serving of crab meat on top and the flavors were distinctly Thai and hit the spot. Fish sauce, lime, and lemon grass heaven. The sukh fried rice had very crispy delicious pork belly but not gonna lie the pink pepto bismol colored rice threw me off. It didn't taste bad but I've never had pink rice like that before and just not a fan of artificial coloring in my food, it probably wasn't artificial but still threw me off. We also got the fish and that was delicious , crispy and generous portion. Will have to come back again one day. read more

Super interesting concept and interior. Very cool decorations, the train theme made me wish California had high-speed rail. Anyways, food was pretty good, the duck was super tender and the sauce was great. The pork belly was alright in my opinion. read more
The restaurant itself is adorable! Came here with a group of 4 and we split everything. The apps and dessert were the highlights. The entrees were fine, nothing super memorable. I also limited our group some because I do not like spicy food and a lot of dishes were listed on the spicier side. read more

Sukh is a trendy Thai spot with exciting dishes and drinks. You'll get the classic feeling of loved hating spicy dishes because the kick is stronger than some spots, but you want to continue because it's really tasty. This one of the better Thai spots, but make sure you make a reservation because wait times could be bad. The Hor Mok is a nice starter because the presentation is cute. But taste wise it was just alright. I didn't get a strong impression from the crab meat and spices, which was disappointing because these cute bite sized circles reminds me of the endearing Takoyaki. I came in a group and didn't go fully family style, so I only really remember my experience with the Larb Nurh. However I can positively say that everyone enjoyed their dishes, the spice levels, and the variety of flavours. As for me, the Larb Nurh was a party to eat. There was a plethora of veggies to choose from, and the spiciness from the ground beef was very pravelent. Every bite had an intense heat, but the dish kept making me go back for another spoonful. The portions of the dishes were extremely generous, but we luckily still had room for dessert. Unfortunately the desserts that we had were mediocre at best. The Ice Cream on Bun was extremely underwhelming. A mid hotdog bun with some scoops of ice cream did not make anyone excited. The Taro Custard at least was different, but still didn't shine out either. Overall, a good trendy addition to NYC. Spicy enthusiasts should definetly come here. I didn't enjoy everything, but the things I liked were strong enough to consider a revisit. read more

5/5 Vibes 5/5 Food in Fort Greene I had one of the better Thai meals I've had in recent memory here, everything was solid and very flavorful. I especially enjoyed the Pla Tod Samun Prai (fried deboned Branzino with chili like and fish sauce), Tom Khanun (spicy jackfruit with pork rinds), and the coconut crab curry. Would definitely recommend ordering all 3, the flavors for the dishes were incredible. Bonus points for the interior which is designed like a cute train car, and the friendly service. read more
This place is amazing for Thai food. We started off with the papaya salad which was refreshing. The Khao Tom Haeng was excellent, the mixture of all meats (pork belly, Chinese sausage, minced pork & shrimp) were all delicious. The Gaeng Hung Lay Nuar was super tender and flavorful. The stewed beef in curry was so soft and was excellent when paired with the rice. The last dish, Pla Tod Samun Prai which is a fried branzino with lots of herbs and spices. It was super soft and flaky and the herbs, onions and garlic and other items went so well with it. Probably one of our favorite dishes of the night. The staff was super nice and very attentive. The table we had was small but it managed to fit everything! There's seating inside and a canopy for outside seating. You can make reservations ahead of time. The atmosphere is great and lively and a very busy come popular dining times. read more

Sukh Brooklyn absolutely blew me away. I still find myself daydreaming about two dishes in particular the Panang Nuer (short rib curry) and the Ped Toon (braised duck breast). They were unforgettable. The short rib curry was rich, velvety, and perfectly balanced. The tender short rib melted apart with the slightest touch. The duck was insanely tender, with that delicious savory sweet taste. The drinks were strong and delicious as well. Beyond the food, the vibe is cozy and stylish. Service was warm and attentive. If you love bold Thai flavors and beautifully executed dishes, run to Sukh. I'm already planning my return trip! read more

Sukh has been on my bookmark list for a while and luckily for my birthday lunch, I got to dine here! Sukh is such a great addition to Fort Greene and I would highly recommend it after or before hanging out at Fort Greene Park. We ordered the following: Khao Pad Rod Fai - pork belly super crispy and overall a very solid dish Hor Mok - delicious app. A bit on the salty side but bursting with flavor. You can't even tell it's fish! Kang Pu - crab curry. Great flavor but definitely got that spice kick. I would love to come back again for dinner and order more things. Service was average and love the decor of the spot. It's casual and a great place to catch up with friends. read more

There's so much average, overly sugary Thai in New York. But this place rocks. The duck laab with black sticky rice the pad Thai was even great, beautiful chicken with crispy skin on top. The Special cocktail was way too sugary so wouldn't get that again, but all the food was perfect. The train carriage interior is cute. read more

Has such a nice dinner here with my love in Valentine's Day. We were lucky to get a table with no reservations, of course everywhere was packed out. This food was so delicious, with a great authentic and rich flavor. I had the pad Thai, scallion pancakes (they were good but a little spongy) and the spring rolls. Spring rolls were amazingly crunchy and delicious. I enjoyed my cocktails also. My partner had a noodle curry dish which was also delicious, tight down to the aroma, but pretty spicy. I love the train aesthetic and the food was amazing as well. Our waitress was very friendly and our food arrived quickly. My favorite dishes were the branzino and the duck. The branzino was nice and crispy and the fish sauce paired perfectly with it. The duck was so juicy and flavorful. The hor mok was also pretty good. We also got the pork belly and short ribs, but they were nothing special. I thought the pork belly could've been crispier and the short ribs weren't as tender as I thought it would be. Came to Sukh on a Saturday around 5:30pm with a group of six, and everything we ordered was fantastic. The restaurant itself is themed like a train, which made the atmosphere really fun and unique. It was also very clean and had a nice vibe. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. We started with the Gai Tod Nam Pla (fried chicken wings caramelized with fish sauce and garlic). Crispy, flavorful, and paired nicely with the pickled onions. The Khao Pad Rod Fai (crispy pork fried rice) had a hint of spice in the sauce that worked perfectly with the pork. My favorite was the Panang Nuer (braised short rib with coconut milk). The short rib was incredibly tender and fell right off the bone, while the creamy coconut sauce was rich, slightly sweet, and amazing with rice. The Kea Mao (flat noodles with basil, baby corn, and chili) was a bit too spicy for me personally, but the noodles had a great chewy texture. The Khao Soi (egg noodles with braised chicken drumstick in red curry coconut broth) started off with a sweet , then developed into a perfectly spicy flavor. We also tried the Pla Tod Samun Prai (fried branzino with herbs and chili lime sauce). Super crunchy and savory, The head was even edible with a nice crisp and the fried herbs were like chips, pairing so well with the fish. I would definitely come here again. The flavors in each dish were immaculate, the theme was fun, and the service made it all worthwhile. Highly recommend! read more

Cute interior, great service but the food was mediocre despite the positive reviews that drew me here. The chicken in my pad thai was very dry. The Hor Mok, which was one of their signature appetizers was presented in an interesting way but it was basically a curry fishball with a softer texture. I would skip those. We had another dish that was on a special menu, grilled chicken with papaya salad and black rice. That was good and the chicken was cooked well. read more

If you're looking for Thai food in Downtown Brooklyn, stop scrolling and just go to Sukh. My fiancée, another couple, and I came here tonight and, let me tell you, our table looked like a Thai food sampler platter for four indecisive foodies. We kicked things off with the Curry Samosa, Gai Tod Nam Pla, and the Hor Mok (seriously, do yourself a favor and order it! The dish was a creative take on branzino its whipped and deconstructed for a silky, almost mousse like texture, then baked and crowned with a rich, flavorful lump of crab that took it over the top Then came the entrées... and maybe we got carried away. Six dishes hit the table: Kapraw Moo, Khao Kai Ra Bret, Pla Tod Samun Prai, Sukh Pad Thai, Panang Nuer, and Khao Pad Rod Fai. Don't judge us, menu FOMO is real. Now, everything was delicious, but two dishes deserve their own standing ovation: * Khao Pad Rod Fai - This fried rice ruined all other fried rice for me. Definitely the best fried rice I've had to date. * Pla Tod Samun Prai - Branzino so crispy on the outside and flaky inside, it's basically catfishing you into thinking you're eating two different dishes. Add in the Thai herbs and chili sauce, and it's next-level. Bottom line: Sukh is hands down the best Thai spot I've been to, and I've eaten my way through quite a few. They don't have kids menu and it is kind a small inside but they do have couple outdoor tables. And the staffs are super nice so I'm sure they can arrange something. Not sure if that's the answer you're looking for. 😜
