Moo ping is delicious and our favorite appetizer of the night, especially w the dipping sauce which was tangy and refreshing at the same time. Bathroom is spacious and clean, but the interior of the restaurant is arm to arm tight space. But good shrimps and flavorful entrees, dessert menu look delicious and would try next time when its less busy. Spotty service cause it was busy and we were sandwiched between a big group and off to the side.
RANCID. The last time we went here was terrible. Over 8 months ago. I left a review and the manager apologized and said to come on back and give them a second chance. We ordered take out this evening and are furious. It. Was. AWFUL. The BD tea leaves salad was rancid. We couldn't even eat it. Usually we'd keep the dressing as it was previously so delicious but this time it was watery, far too sour, and basically rancid. When my partner threw it down the drain he nearly gagged. The pad thai tasteless, the pad see eu bland, and the rice not even 3/4 full (at $4 for a small size it bordered on insulting.) $75 for 2/3 a small rice, a pad thai, pad see ew, the BD tea leaves salad and a cashew mock duck we'll never finish was enough for us to never ever go back. A huge waste of money, hope, and a meal. We're all feeling quite sick and queasy that we even ate what we managed. So much for giving places another chance. This used to be our absolute favorite go to. The above items were so delicious, tasty, fresh, the portions full and we'd always stuff ourselves beyond the norm as we couldn't stop ourselves. Now, half of it went in the bin due to it being rancid, sour, wilted, and simply inedible. Why we even endured several rounds of 'well, maybe it's just a bad/rushed/overcrowded night.' This was not a case of a few 'off nights'. It was a miserable, inedible, rotten, disappointing, experience that left a greasy, quesy, sour and rancid taste in our mouths and feeling in our bellies. No more. Never again. You've been warned. Don't waste your time, money, appetite or hopes on this miserable excuse for thai food. It's just that awful.
Second or third visit here, delights every time! The food is delicious, and they'll spice it to your liking. I had the Kua Gling Over Rice (minced chicken) and my companion had the BD Tea Leaves Salad; both excellent. The server was sweet and just the right amount of attentive. Prices seemed fair and the atmosphere was pleasant (including not having loud music the way that so many places do nowadays).
Bangkok Degree in Park Slope is a great spot! Their large menu has options for everyone, and the short rib massaman paired with Thai iced tea was a hit! Listen to the staff's food recs and you won't be disappointed. I definitely left happy and full!
Cute Thai place with great service. tofu salt and pepper $12 - this had a spicy sign next to it on the menu but it was not spicy at all. The only semi spicy thing was the sweet chili sauce paired with it. Ordered this thinking it would be similar to Chinese-style salt and pepper squid/pork chop, but the flavor is not similar at all. Since tofu, as an ingredient, leans on the bland side, the seasoning can be more flavorful. Currently, it's a little lacking. But because of how the tofu were served in very bite-sized pieces, they were addicting to pop into my mouth. [3/5] panang duck lychee curry $34 - my husband ordered this dish at another Thai restaurant in the city, so he was very excited to see this on the menu again. The duck comes with a crispy skin even though it's half drenched in curry. I don't know how they can make this possible! I really appreciated the lychee and pineapple included because it helps cut into the spiciness. The curry is quite spicy but very fragrant. Comes with a side of Jasmine rice. [5/5] Branzino mango $39 - Another dish with a spicy sign. Granted that the branzino is fried, the fish was a bit dry. I dipped it in the sweet chili sauce that came with the tofu salt and pepper appetizer, and it tasted much better. So, this dish would be better if it came with a sauce for dipping, or if they could manage to keep the fish flesh moist even though it's deep-fried. I liked the "spicy" (not really) mango salad that was on top of the fish, but the mango could be more ripe. [4/5] We could only finish half the curry and branzino among two people - took the rest to go.
Service here is impeccable! The interior is well-decorated and intimate, perfect for a small gathering or a date. We ordered the chive fries to start which were yummy but very gooey on the inside. They were crispy on the outside but the inside texture could be off putting for some. The dipping sauce was flavorful. My friend got the massaman curry with chicken which he said was excellent. I got the panang curry with tofu which was very flavorful. The tofu could have been crispier but was good none the less. We also got thai iced teas which were very good. Now for the star of the show, the pumpkin custard and sticky rice. I would go back just for this. I can't even begin to describe the flavors, but I wanted to get my own after splitting it with my friend. Service was attentive and excellent! I would come back here the next time that I'm in Brooklyn.
Thai food here is pretty solid - also loved the fact that they had a few dishes that I haven't seen in other Thai restaurants. I would highly recommend the soft shell crab karee! Another plus is that it's not too far from the train so no excuses not to make it here! Great for small gatherings or dates - cute, quaint & cozy!
I came here with my family for lunch on a Saturday and overall had a good meal. I'd probably lean toward 3.5 stars, if given the opportunity to do so. The place is beautiful and welcoming. You can make a reservation on Resy, but they'll charge you $20/person if you fail to cancel at least 24 hours in advance. Just to keep in mind. Prime rib massamam curry: very popular dish, and rightfully so. It's easily the best thing we had. The meat is tender and the curry is fabulous (and I'm not even a curry fan). Its also a gigantic portion, easily shareable. Get it. Drunken noodles with crispy duck: the noodles were very good, but next time I would skip paying an extra $16 for the duck, which is way too dry. Pork belly: it's difficult to do this dish justice, because we had this side by side with the massamam curry, and the sauce here seemed to have little flavor. The pork belly wasn't anything to write home about (and I love pork belly). Fried rice (for my daughter): really yummy. Overall, I'd go back and try more options from their rich menu.
We came here on Valentine's Day and it was incredible! The service was so amazing & our server recommended fantastic dishes that turned out to be some of our favorite dishes of the night! It was also decorated beautifully and all guests got a cute & complimentary pink drink for the holiday! We got the following: Thai Iced Tea - so delicious, sweet but not overwhelmingly, so you could still taste the tea itself Moo Ping - SO GOOD. The pork was insanely tender & the sauce & cucumbers complimented the dish beautifully. Would get this again and again. Papaya Salad - we got spicy & it was a bit too hot for me but DANG it was tasty and so flavorful. Would also get this again and again. Squid Drunken Noodle - The wide rice noodles were coated in a dynamically flavored sauce & the squid was chewy in the best way. Would absolutely get this again. Khao Soy Chicken - Good, but not great & I would try something else over ordering this again! I think I expected there to be more broth, which I think would have enhanced the dish too. Added a little soy sauce to the leftovers and it made the dish much tastier! Overall, so excited to come here again for the thai iced tea, moo ping, and papaya salad!

Came on a freezing holiday Monday for lunch with three people at 1pm and were seated immediately. We ordered: - Thai Iced Tea: a little too sweet - Papaya Salad with salted egg: good portion, love all the crunchy texture - Curry Puff: tasty for non-meat appetizer - Tom Yum Shrimp: small bowl more so for 1 person, not a big pot of soup - Drunken Noodle w/ chicken: proteins are an additional amount - Crispy Pork Stone Pot: pork was juicy and not dry, the basil fried rice with garlic really elevated the flavors mixed with the egg, would recommend Flavors were on the spicier end which I prefer than the average Thai restaurant. Service was quick and attentive. They have nice flower decorations inside, so it'd be a nice place to host events or big groups.
So the food is actually amazing. Like every single thing here was good and it's rare to get that at a restaurant. We went a few weeks ago so I only remember these dishes: Karee Soft Shell Crab Crispy soft shell crab Zabb Wings Fried chicken wings, chili-lime roasted rice dry rub seasoning, topp Crispy Pork Stone Pot Homemade crispy pork, The chicken wings wow are absolutely packed with seasoning, seriously PACKED. It was soooo good but also a bit too overpowering but also sooo good. I need a glass of water on the side just in case. The soft shell crab you can't go wrong with that either and it was nicely fried. Overall everything was good, I'd come back.
The food was really yummy here. Highly recommend the Pad See-Ew with Pork Belly! Place has a great drink selection.

I eat Thai food every week and this is probably in my top 10 in NYC! The staff here are super friendly and all the drinks/apps/entrees/dessert were good, which is so hard to find! PLEASE get the mango stick rice cocktail omg it was gone in like 5 sips because it was so good. The tuna ceviche was so refreshing and the sauce had a little kick to it which I absolutely loved! It was like a sprinkle of Thai on a classic tuna ceviche. Note the taro chips are a little thicker than a typical chip! The pork jowl wasn't as crispy as I expected but it was still flavorful and the portion size was huge, considering how it was an appetizer. We got pineapple lychee crispy duck, crab fried rice, and kana crispy pork over rice as our entree. ALL WERE SO GOOD! The curry for the pineapple lychee crispy duck was so creamy and flavorful, with the duck portion being huge and being the perfect texture. I loved that it was crispy and didn't get soggy fast in the curry. The crab fried rice was top tier as there were SO MANY HUGE CRAB PIECES!! You can definitely tell that it had flavors of seafood/crab.. they did not skimp out! And the kana crispy pork over rice was huge portion as well, but note that it was a big strong/saltier than the other dishes. For dessert, the pandan coconut pudding custard was SO yummy. It was warm and so flavorful and creamy!! I fell in love with Brooklyn even more after coming here. Highly recommend!! read more
Great spot in Brooklyn! Stopped in for lunch on a weekday. The place isn't huge, but the vibe is cozy and welcoming. Loved that every table had fresh flowers; you can tell they really care about the little details. We ordered quite a bit and honestly, everything was on point: · Lychee Thai Iced Tea & Yuzu Pop - both refreshing and not too sweet (huge plus for me since I don't have a big sweet tooth). · Moo Ping - solid start to the meal. · Salmon Mango (GF) - the salmon was cooked through (which I asked for), and the mango salad underneath was light and tangy. The sweet fruit with the savory fish worked way better than I expected. · Pineapple Fried Rice - came with shrimp, nice wok aroma, and that perfect sweet-tangy pineapple kick. · Pineapple Lychee Crispy Duck (GF) - duck skin was nice and crispy, and the coconut-based sauce with lychee and pineapple kept it from feeling heavy or greasy. · Branzino Chili Lime (GF) - came out piping hot, classic Thai-style sour broth that paired perfectly with the fish. No fishy taste at all, and the texture was tender. Even the drinks and dessert weren't overly sweet, which was a pleasant surprise. This interior is to die for. It's super cute with all the floral but everything else was very very mid. I'll start with the pros: Tea salad: refreshing; reminded us of a poke bowl Curry puffs: flakey and good amount of filling Roti massaman: curry is sweeter than usual and the roti is very oily it's ok (can skip) Drunken noodle: spicy and flavorful Crab fried rice: love the wok hay, good flavor - my favorite dish of the night Steamed pudding dessert: it was so good warm, not sweet, coconut flavor was great Con's: Wings: super salty and sour. It was just wayyyy too salty. I tried to eat. But I just couldn't handle it. This was just not it. Fried branzino: super oily, the fish had no flavor at all. The sauce that it came with was a must to eat with it. Crème brûlée cheesecake: tastes super artificial and made our mouths feel bitter afterwards. I really don't know how to explain it but this needs to be removed off the menu... Espresso martini: had milk, no coffee taste, straight alcohol only. Overall, I would probably come back for the crab fried rice and try other stir fry noodles only. I'll skip the cocktails... and stay away from some of the apps& branzino read more

So glad we tried this place out! Definitely make a reservation beforehand - I made one day of, and I'm so glad I did because it got packed quickly. The decor was cute and lively, with lots of hearts for Valentine's Day. The crispy quail egg wontons were pretty tasty, and I really enjoyed my drunken noodle with beef. It had the perfect level of spiciness, and the beef was tender with a lovely char on it. The only thing was that our drinks didn't come until halfway through our entree. Heads up, they ask for cash for tip vs. card, so bring some if you can. read more
Super tiny place and swear the people here are hustling, because not enough staff vs patrons. Anyways, I came here just for the quail egg rangoon. I love quail and I love rangoon, but this didn't live up to the rave reviews. I wish they combined the egg and crab rangoon and that would have been a lot more interesting. Got pad thai - good Thai ice tea - good as well I mean overall, it was good, but I wouldn't have trekked all the way over here, because I could have went to a closer Thai restaurant that was near the doctor's office. read more

This was a very cozy place and the greenery interior really elevates your dining experience too! Came here in January for my 27th birthday and the food didn't disappoint! Well-seasoned, not heavy and refreshing! Staff checked in on us to see how we were doing midway into our meal and I appreciate that! Great Thai place! We came on Sunday in the early afternoon. There was no wait and the place was relatively empty with a few take out orders. It was a festive interior with lots of dangling ceiling decorations. They have a lunch special, but it is not available during the weekends. I got the shrimp pad thai. Better than most pad thai I've had recently, but I like to use Soothr as my barometer. Close, but still not as good. The chicken thai fried rice was also very good. This would be a very clutch take out place if I lived in the neighborhood, but not as good as many places in Manhattan. read more
New trendy Thai spot I've been seeing a lot of on social media lately. Beautiful space with floral wall and hanging florals. Staff is super nice and accommodating. We ordered the Prala Papaya Salad (which is their papaya salad but with pickled fish added). I was intrigued by the pickled fish part so decided to give it a try. However, I didn't really find any fish in there so it must've been incorporated in the sauce or chopped finely. We got medium spicy which was pretty spicy already so Thai spice is really not for anyone who can't handle real heat. But the papaya salad still hit like the original. We also ordered a tom yum fried rice and crispy pork stone pot rice. I love tom yum soup so I wanted to try something different and have it in fried rice form. Honestly, I couldn't tell the difference. I was expecting more of the lemongrass/sour taste like the soup usually has but it just tasted like a fried rice. But it was still delicious, so no complaints here. The crispy pork stone pot rice had a very interesting flavor. They even have the crispy rice that sticks at the bottom of the pot. Everything we ordered was delicious even if it had missing elements we expected. I think this place is staffed by actual Thai owners so expect authentic Thai food. Portions are very generous by the way. The menu must've changed from 1-2 years ago because they no longer have desserts I've seen people take pics of, like the Thai tea crepe cake. This place deserves 6 stars! The food was phenomenal. Flavorful and large portions. The space is a bit small so don't expect to be able to move around much or have private conversations. Servers were very friendly and checked in a few rimes to see if we needed anything. In general the pad Thai was my favorite. It's definitely worth trying. read more

I really enjoyed Bangkok Degree. It was a nice and comforting environment on a Saturday afternoon. The servers were so nice and attentative. My friends were late for our reservations but they were still flexible with us. I got the fried pork pad thai which was so good. And the zaab wings had some of the best flavors in the city read more
As someone who is allergic to almost all nuts (especially peanuts and cashews) and avoids Thai food because of this, I was on edge when visiting but I had a very pleasant experience! Cute little spot on union with cocktails-- though I only a Thai iced tea that was great! Great service and food came out within minutes! Tried the zab wings which were spicy but had too much of a twang for my liking. I had the pineapple fried rice with crispy pork (without cashew of course) and it was delicious! The pork could've been hotter temperature wise but the rice was hot. My friend tried the green curry which was good too! read more

Fire vibes. Amazing food. Great service. All around a great experience. Loved every moment of our dining experience- and particularly that the food came out very fast (we were super hungry). We were in and out within 45 minutes. I would recommend this spot & come again! 10/10. read more
Amazing food! Highly recommend! I always order Togo from here and I was happy. So one day I decided to dine in. I really like that they are busy and busting but food came promptly. If you want quiet date night, I would not recommend it but fun to dine with bunch of friends! read more
Good Thai, quick service. Thought the place is fairly small, they really have some tasty food coming out of the kitchen. Now I doubt I will ever come here again because I got turned off when paying the bill. Most of the party paid with card, which was done table side with the mini machine and when I decided to pay with cash, the waitress then made sure to inquire if and how we would give the tip. She didn't even give us a chance to finish paying before she asked this. It was extremely rude to assume that because we mainly paid with card that we would ditch the tip. I don't know if they have PTSD from incidents before, or a racial bias but one thing I am not is a cheap when it comes to tipping for the service. read more
Bangkok Degree is a beautiful Thai restaurant by Park Slope. They have amazing appetizers like the Moo Ping and Roti Massaman. I would pass on the wings just cause I wish they were crispier, but the pork skewers were tender and meaty! The drunken noodles are actually made with ramen-texture noodles instead of the traditional flat noodles, but I enjoyed this for the dish anyways. They also gave lots of seafood and chicken in it. The crab fried rice was packed with crab meat and the sauce it came with added a nice spice. For dessert, try the Coconut Pudding for a warm and sweet treat. It's sticky, milky, and authentic! For a drink with the meal, definitely get the Thai Iced Tea. The service was also wonderful. Our server was very nice. read more

What a very cute Thai restaurant! I absolutely loved everything about this place. Food - I ordered the Tom Kha chicken soup and pineapple fried rice. The Tom Kha soup hit the spot so well! I'm so glad they made it well because some places make it so watery and theres no flavor but they did such an amazing job. The pineapple fried rice was so DELISH! It was chefs kiss! So much flavor, so much shrimp and pineapple. I saved some for a midnight snack and it was just as delicious. Service - The ladies were super friendly. When we went, they said if we pay with cash it is 10% off! So it was a great. They also came promptly with the food and checked up on us occasionally. Environment - The shop is super cute! The decorations make it feel like home. They have plenty of seating. You definitely have to add this on one of your to-go-to Thai restaurants here! It's a hit! read more

Stopped by for dinner on a Friday evening. The space is somewhat small for the foot traffic they get, decorated with a ton of floral and other IG worthy decor. We had a reservation and was informed upon arrival that we'd only have 90 minutes to dine, although we definitely stayed longer than that. My gf ordered the Massaman Curry w Crispy Half Duck ($30), which overall was good. The duck meat was on the dry side, but it was fine when you drench it in the curry. I got the Salmon Stone Pot ($25), which was interestingly served in a super hot stone pot, which remained hot for a good 15+ minutes. Consisted of a seared salmon, Tom Yum Fried Rice, and an egg. Was not very sure of the proper way to eat this, but I ended up breaking the salmon into pieces and mixed it with the fried rice and egg. Slight spicy kick to it and overall was delicious. read more
