Food: 3/5 Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 5/5 The atmosphere is warm and bustling, classic diner vibes. Service is quick to seat you and is generally friendly. We got: - California burger: it was a bit much, overly oily and I did not finish it, the fruit wasn't the softest ripest either but it was okay, kept cold - scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns: okay as well, bacon is crispy enough, hash browns tasted bland and overly oily I didn't love the food but the overall place is decent. There's a lot in front of the diner for parking which we found a spot easily in at 10am on Monday

I have been wanting to try this place for a while now. Finally came around to getting to try it and it was fantastic. The food is delicious and the menu is rather large, so something for everyone. I wanted to try everything, I did get some pancakes which were a classic staple for dinner / brunch spots. I even got a crunchy taco which was so good and they give salsa on the side to dress the taco up. The ambience is very casual and the place is not super large but they make use of all the space pretty well. The service was great and we were seated right away. I'm only bummed they aren't open later most days. I also wasn't a big fan of the coffee, it was a little on the light side for my taste but not bad. I would come back and try something new because they have so many options, it all sounded so tasty. I would say this is a much better version of a local chain breakfast spot. Don't let the outside fool you, and be carful not to pass the parking lot since there is only one entrance/ exit area.

My fiancé & I wanted to go out for breakfast and decided to check out this place. I've actually never been here before but we wanted to try somewhere new. I ordered the country fried steak & eggs. For my two sides I got the cottage cheese and dollar pancakes. I enjoyed my country fried steak and they had good cottage cheese (some places don't lol). The pancakes were okay. My fiancé got the Canadian bacon & eggs. For his two sides he got hash browns and biscuits & gravy. He really loved the biscuits & gravy, he said it was so good. He enjoyed his Canadian bacon as well but said he would probably order them crispier next time. He didn't like the hash browns that much though, he said some parts tasted cooked good and some didn't. Overall though, we enjoyed our meal! It was a good first time experience. Their menu is also pretty big. I didn't see a lot of menu photos on here so I made sure to take pics of the whole thing. I definitely want to come back to try some of their lunch items next time and maybe even dessert. We also got seated pretty quickly and parking was fine. :)

You must eat here it's so cool and they're so nice! And the food is so awesome they gave us this cool little salsa boat and they're fast. Has a small diner vibe. Nice music and friendly service :) i definitely recommend. A new favorite. Also the prices are not outrageous which is so nice these days.

We were unfamiliar with it, but stopped by Amy's because it was near my daughter's house and near the freeway to head home. I'm so glad we took the chance! This is a small establishment next to a motel (wasn't too excited for that, thinking it would be crowded). The parking lot is very small with small parking spaces. The inside is homey and seemed to be filled with locals not motel guests. We were seated immediately with drink and food orders taken soon after. There were five of us but the food still came out quickly. I ordered my standard biscuit and gravy breakfast which is definitely not their specialty. Later I saw that they offered menudo but I didn't see it on the menu and I was sad because I would rather have had that. Oh well, I'll need to come back. I'm sorry I didn't take photos of the food. Lunch is served all day and the Parmesan burger was really good. They have hot sauce on the table but also offer a trio of salsas for your food and they were all really good. I recommend Amy's; it isn't fancy at all but offers good satisfying food!

First time coming here place was a little very busy. Staff was nice and friendly and food was good. Place seemed to be clean. I would give this place another try. The only thing parking is a little rough small parking lot and the rest of the parking is for a hotel only.

Went here for the first time yesterday and was really impressed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious. I had the chilaquiles skillet with chorizo and home fries. Portions were big. I'm planning on going back next week!!!

Well I visited here twice this trip and had the eggs Benedict delicious big portions . My friends had the omelette which came with TWO sides a lot of food and no complaints.The bisc and gravy was good . The waiter was un believable he was so accurate and speedy . The place seems busy but not hard to get a table . Definitely returning

Don't be fooled by the parking lot, this diner is a hidden gem! Everything we had was delicious, the service was fast (especially for a Saturday morning!) and we would highly recommend! The only downside was that the menu had so many great options it was hard to decide

I had a family member give us a certificate for Amy's so my sister and I decided to give it a try. We went on a Monday afternoon a bit before 2 and we saw they close around 3 on every day besides Tuesday so we wanted to make it a fast trip. Walking in we saw the restaurant was a bit slow and there were only 2 other customers there. Very cute little diner with paintings and little decorations. I got the Ham, Turkey, and Bacon club with onion rings and my sister got the avocado burger with fries. They were both delicious and it took me by surprise that the restaurant was as slow as it was with such good comfort food. The waitress we had was so nice and attentive she checked in 3-4 times and we didn't have a single complaint. The serving size was so big especially for the prices. I would totally recommend coming to check them out.

Usually come here for breakfast since the omelettes are very nice portions and reasonably priced. (And the service is always A+) Decided to pop in for lunch the other day and tried the two taco plate with a chicken enchilada on the side. Two taco plate came with chips and salsa - you can tell the chips are made in house, Salsa is very tasty. Tacos were well made Chicken enchilada was the star, very well made. Can't go wrong with this place.

Wowza. This little place packs a punch in the food department. I used yelp of course to locate it and it's a very small diner along Magnolia Boulevard in Riverside . All the reviews are amazing and mine will be the same. The portions were large. I generally get chicken fried steak when I'm out to breakfast and I know that I'm never gonna eat the whole thing and this was no exception. Over medium eggs, perfectly cooked. Chicken fried steak, a generous portion with a really tasty gravy no flour taste in it had added pepper delicious. The hash browns were in a log formation and thick - not super crispy and stringy. I also had sourdough toast and a cup of coffee, which I don't normally drink, but their coffee was really good too! From the moment I walked in the door the servers were attentive and quick and friendly, everything I look for in a server at a restaurant. Humorous and funny. The price for my meal ran around 15 bucks and the coffee was additional on top of that. Super good price for the quality of this place that seems to be a hidden gem in Riverside! Kudos Amy's!! (They also seem to have some great Mexican options. There were lot of people after me and around ordering enchiladas and things like that - Viva)

Ok, so as I leave this place, I wanted to comment. I and boyfriend chose to go from looking at Yelp however, we go and walk in, NOT ONE PERSON SAYS ANYTHING WHILE WE STAND AT THEIR SO CALLED SIGN IN SHEET, even as a staff member is working next to me. I watched my phone for how long no one was going to say "one moment" or just anything. After 3 minutes, I decided to go. Yes it was my 1st, and yes I WILL NEVER BE BACK. I understand I'm just one person and might not matter. But I FOR SURE will let people know, if you are NOT of a CERTAIN RACE, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME, YOU WILL NOT FEEL(BE) WECOLMED! read more

What can I say, this place is gggoooooddd! Family owned diner with the acronym of Amy's being named for her kids-too cute! The breakfasts never disappoint, Chorizo & Eggs are yummy and the Parmesan Burger is so damn good! Their pumpkin pancakes that they serve in November are tasty! Taco Tuesday is fantastic-huge tacos for .99cents, can't beat that! Not only are they delicious, but they are packed with meat, not skimpy at all like some places do on Taco Tuesday's. Veronica and her staff are all very friendly and my husband loves this place! read more

So good! If you are looking for some good comfort food please stop by Amy's Cafe! I had the huevos rancheros and they were delish. I got to choose between corn or flour tortillas and they gave plenty of tortillas to soak up the chili verde sauce. I loved that the eggs were covered in the chili verde sauce (full of melt in your mouth pork). The beans and rice was on point! I also, shared the biscuits and gravy with my eating companion... the half order was plenty for the 2 of us! They give you a biscuit split in half drowned in their pipping hot gravy. YUM! We also got a breakfast skillet. OMG! The mega skillet was full of sausage, bacon, ham, mushrooms, onions and peppers. It definitely is enough for 2 because it comes with your choice of toast, biscuits and gravy or pancakes. The pancakes are really good and plentiful per order. I do not usually like pancakes but I did enjoy the side of pancakes. MUST TRY PLACE for breakfast or brunch! I cannot vouch for lunch/dinner. read more

Order the breakfast enchiladas with eggs. Holy lord, that plate is a serious game changer in the breakfast foods world. HANGOVER FOOD YA'LL! I mean, or anytime.. French toast is also the business, and they have waffles with ice cream, which reminds me of that scene in Little Miss Sunshine. Never came for lunch or dinner, but anytime I'm out for breakfast in Riverside this is typically my go-to spot. Nothing fancy, and almost a little hole in the wall if you drive by too quickly--but if you live in the area you have to check this place out. Portions are generous, so normally my friend will order a savory dish and I get a sweet one and nibble off both. Yummmmm. 4 Stars here, only because it seems like every time I'm here it takes an eensy bit too long for food to arrive, but if you can handle waiting a moment it is worth it. read more

Went there for brunch today. Though it's not offered, they made me chilaquiles. That was awesome. Food was great. We were stuffed and satisfied. However, service sucks. And my son found hair in his lemonade. Eww. But they made a fresh one and it was fine. 3 stars cuz of food vs. service. read more

Fifteen minutes after I placed my order, the waitress informed me that they were "out of macha." And their forks were dirty. Food was OK. Nothing special about this place. It's way over-rated. Won't be returning. read more

UH... MUH... GUH. if you ever find yourself in Riverside around breakfast time, DO NOT MISS AMY'S CAFE. they made THE BEST OMELET I'VE EVER HAD. it's got a small-town diner feel. i believe MELISSA was the name of the server--apologies, if my memory fails me. she was more than happy to answer my million questions and offered expert advice on what to order. ABOUT THE OMELET: first of all, IT IS YUUUUGE. it looked a little cheesy (pardon the pun) with square slices of swiss cheese covering the omelet like a bad roofing job. esthetically, shredded cheese would've looked nicer, but once i took the first bite--it could've looked like open heart surgery--it was the best-tasting omelet i've ever had! i had the ARIZONA OMELET with Bell Peppers, Onions, Spinach, Avocado, Tomato and Cheese. Since i'm an unrepentant carnivore, i added to my omelet CHOPPED HOT LINKS. HOLY MOTHER OF GOD, was it a religious experience and CHOCK FULL OF FOOD! a bounty of ingredients in every bite. this omelet was HUGE AND TASTY. plus, choose ANY TWO of their sides--you are not restricted to a starch and a umm... non-starch. sides include HOME FRIES, HASH BROWNS, FRUIT, COTTAGE CHEESE, TOMATOES, GRITS, TOAST, PANCAKES, ENGLISH MUFFIN, BAGEL, FRENCH TOAST, or BISCUITS AND GRAVY. i chose HOME FRIES with ADDED-ON BELL PEPPERS AND ONIONS, and FRENCH TOAST. it was a mountain of HOME FRIES O'BRIEN, fluffy and crisp. ever been disappointed to dig into your home fries and discover the crispiness was just the outside surface area of a thick pile of bland potatoes? NOT HERE. the potatoes had CRISP EDGES THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE GARGANTUAN PILE. the FRENCH TOAST was good, tho unremarkable. next time i vow to try my first BISCUITS AND GRAVY--this seems like the place to do it. the ORANGE JUICE seemed to be from concentrate but better than supermarket concentrate. i hoped for at least Tropicana Pure Premium but i needed OJ to complete this incredible breakfast and it turned out pretty good. THE MEAL FILLED MY PLATE, AND THEN SOME. even with my huge appetite, i was only able to comfortably eat about 2/3 of the meal. but 2 hours later, it was all gone. look at the photos. This place is really good when you want a big meal and don't have a whole lot of cash to spend. We ordered a Parmesan burger, a Pastrami Burger, a hot chocolate, and a cup of clam chowder soup, which all came to a little more than $17. When you can feed 2 people for under $20, and have leftovers to take home for tomorrow, I'm happy! read more

I brought my family here based on Yelp reviews. The first time was amazing. The service was quick, friendly, and it was a great atmosphere overall. Second time: there was more people and the servers looked liked they hated their time there. That's fine, I understand how tough it can be because I use to do the same. The way the servers were speaking to us were completely different from the first time and made me uncomfortable. The food is still amazing! That stays constant. I can tell, however, the servers break under a little bit of stress. I will come back for the food but I will not be tipping anymore. Train your people better! read more

I tried this this for the first time today (a Sunday) and I loved the place. It was very busy but our food and coffee came out quick and hot. I had an Ultimate Omelet which was perfect. We were a group of 5 people and went for breakfast. Little over priced but good. DEFINITELY needs EXPERIENCED WAITRESS to serve the customer. Coffee was served cold, upon asking several time she brought hot coffee without any creamer and other condiments for that again we had to wait 10 minutes. Definitely need new staff (WAITRESS) who knows what they are doing and not just after the tips. Also would be very nice if the place is renovated and cleaned little bit from inside and outside. read more

I have no complaints at all with Amy's. It's a typical diner, it's obviously not super fancy, but you get what you pay for, and then some. It's in kind of an odd location, next to a sort of creepy motel. But it has a nice parking lot and a nice, homey aura. The food was delicious, and, holy crap. I got such a huge portion that I ate over half of what I was served, and still took home a styrofoam container full of leftovers. I had the country scramble, which was good and filling. The gravy was delicious, made with bacon. Definitely not from a powder or a can, like at a place like Denny's. I know homemade gravy, and this was some of the best I've ever had at a place other than my Nana's. One friend got the french toast combo, and another got the belgian waffle special. The prices were really good, my meal cost about $7. There are different breakfast specials for $5 every morning. Also, if you go to the cafe's Facebook page, you can see photos uploaded of the menu. Check it out, if you're looking for really good food for an even better price! read more

As a self-confessed food snob, I won't pay for breakfast food anywhere else. We have gone almost every weekend since we've discovered this place! The omelettes and skillets are incredibly fresh, their pancakes and French toast have just the right amount of cinnamon, salsa tastes homemade, gravy is only OK, but who cares when the biscuits are that fluffy & good, fruit is fresh-cut, they have grits! (rare in CA). Normally I have a light appetite, but when you have 4 people the plates barely fit on the table and it makes me so happy! I could go on forever & I haven't even made it to the lunch & dinner menus yet lol. Waiters seat people quickly even when there is the after-church line. Sometimes service is a bit slow, but that is rare and will be fixed promptly after flagging any server down. read more

Very clean establishment, conveniently located in the parking lot of the sands motel and across the street from Kaiser Hospital. Their menu has a wide variety of food ranging from Southern to Mexican and back. Apart from the expanded menu are daily deals for every day of the week alongside signature soups of the day. Popular due to their tasty savory crunchy and soft shell tacos has many customers flocking in on Tuesday. Definite recommendation for a budget lunch day or night. read more

So thankful my kid found this spot .. From beginning to end the experience was amazing!!! Welcoming, friendly, attentive and full of smiles ... The food was made exactly as we asked and i felt like i tasted the love they have not only for each other but for their job in my food. I highly recommend this spot!! Spent my Saturday brunch here. Place was clean, was not crowded. My group and I were able to grab a seat when we got in. I ordered the country fried steak and eggs with French toast, my friend ordered some kind of burger. My steak was a bit over cooked and the gravy there was thicker than I'm used to. However, my friend who ordered the burger said it was amazing. A nice place for a nice Sunday brunch. Oh the French toast was out of this world, and perfectly done! read more

Busy busy and I know why! Ample portions for little money. Husband had a "short stack", two huge pancakes, two eggs, bacon & hash browns! I had a two egg omlet, loaded with meats, fresh fruit and English muffin. The best part is they use real cheese! (Not plastic cheesefood). Service prompt and pleasant. read more

Pleasantly surprised. It's a little dinner not all that fancy. Went to breakfast during the week walked in and seated. Our waitress Kelly was supper nice and took care of us. The menu is reasonably priced and had a big variety to choose from. Very clean! Our food was good didn't take to long and high quality products. Would totally recommends his place read more

At first sight its looks small & vacant, but then I read all of these great reviews and had friends also tell us how good it was, so we popped in for a visit. For dinner my Hubby ordered the reuben sandwich with added chili cheese fries, while I went for the breakfast mega skillet. The enchilada was good but it came out incredibly fast that the cheese inside wasn't melted properly. My husband wasn't a fan of his reuben he said it was dry and the chili fries were just ok. The skillet I ordered was a gigantic serving of food, consisting of eggs, sausage, mushrooms etc on top off hash browns and a side of pancakes. All of it tasty, definitely boxed up leftovers. I wish I remembered our waitress name. We sat in the booth as you walk in to the right. She was wonderful. I think I left her a $6 or $7 tip on a bill that wasn't even $15. The food and her service was great. It was our first time but will not be the last time. I highly recommend. You will not be disappointed. read more

Will not be returning. A Machaca plate is shredded beef with eggs not just eggs with a pinch of beef. No cook, spreading the pinch of beef and taking away the egg does not make it okay for you to serve. They ruined my favorite plate to order here. I wasevery upset. I also ordered lunch for my sister before she arrived at 1:10. She arrived minutes later only to wait 20 minutes and have her get up and ask for her meal which was not even ready yet as the server said. Service was really bad. I had to ask for my first and only coffee refill. And upon paying my Machaca plate was added to my bill. Of course, I went ahead and asked her to remove it. I needed more explanation for my bill and server turned around and asked for my daughter to explain. One, my daughter does not work for this place. Two, it is your job as a server to explain the bill fully. Three, I understand English and would have asked my daughter to translate. Don't know if you should visit here. read more

My 70 Year old parents were out visiting. I took my 5 kids and parents to Amy's Cafe because of the food. We went into Amy's and ordered 9 meals with appetizers. All was good. My Dad, being the generous father he is had grabbed the bill and paid. He is a 74 year old who has always shown his appreciation to everyone by tipping them. My father has always worked hard for his money and thus he enjoys blessing those who are not appreciated and often overlooked by others. My father looked for the cooks and took one step into the servers area and handed each cook a gracious tip. A young tattooed hispanic individual aggressively raised his voice at my 74 year old father telling him to get out of the building. My father finished handing the cooks their tip and the server stepped toward my father and continue to raise his voice to a yell. The server stepped to my senior citizen father as to an aggressor who is only looking to fight. The server was so out of line, another older server yelled from across the dinning room to "stop talking" and "Shut-up", even calling him out by name. I quickly walk over to assess the problem and this b oy was telling us we needed to get out of the building. I told the server, "his actions are really over the top", ad I will not ever be coming back to this place, as my fathers was just showing gratitude to the cooks! Again, the server was just wanting to yell instead of being grateful of the generosity... I will never be stepping foot into that facility again. I have never been disrespected like that, as my senior citizen father also deserve to be honored when showing the kind hearted gift he was giving. The old owners would never allow this to have taken place. Went in on a Sunday, place wasn't too crowded and went in with a party of six for breakfast. Wasn't greeted and when finally approached, was told to go sit anywhere. We got our menus and drinks quickly, but after that was ignored for 20 minutes, and saw others coming in after us served with their food brought out. I came here for the blueberry pancakes. It was my first time, and Monica took care of us. We sat at the breakfast bar and it was amazing seeing all the fresh food coming out of the kitchen. The blueberry pancakes and the biscuits and gravy were amazing. My boyfriend ordered the chile verde omlet with hash browns and french toast. All of our food was hot and fresh. after the good reviews i read I decided to give it a try. Went in for dinner. Waitress seemed to be more bussy talking to the cook then giving me good service. Decided to go a second time. The food was ok. Waitress (a different one from the previous time) was fast. But lacked being friendly. Would it kill her to crack a smile. All in all probably wont be back.
