I really really like this place. Just about everything is really, really good. We have yet to actually eat in the restaurant and I bring this up because the last two take home orders have been completed incorrectly and it's been really annoying to experience. Nevertheless, the food is still good. Their sushi is really good and reasonably priced for the area. Their Hibachi fried rice is really delicious as well. You don't find that too often (hibachi) these days. Their Pho is also really good. The one complaint I have with the shrimp here (but I'm also finding this at various restaurants in TX), is they don't clean their shrimp very well. I don't enjoy picking out the digestive tract when you can clearly see someone already attempted to devein them. Please do better in this area. :) read more

This is a newer place in between leander and liberty hill. Came for dinner ordered the steak teriyaki bento box, this is the first time anyone asked me how I want my steak cooked for my bento box. Other restaurants don't ask so that was a huge boost for me. I ordered my steak medium rare and it came out great. The steamed veggies was a tasty treat as most bento boxes come with tempura veggies. Would recommend, look forward to returning here and trying other menu items. Also they have good prices on sake and beer. Today is opening day and man oh man, I am so happy to be here. They are doing a fantastic job considering it's day 1 and they are overloaded with customers. Fantastic social distancing standards, very clean, all employees are masked and gloved. Food is FANTASTIC. Give them a little grace on their speed as they're getting their feet on the ground, but you won't regret coming here. Menu has tons of variety which usually means everything is subpar, but I have really enjoyed everything from sushi to their chicken lo mein. Noodle dishes have hefty portions so my husband and I can usually share. They are pretty expensive which sometimes deters us from going here. It was our first time going to the restaurant. I'm happy there is Asian cuisine in the neighborhood. The menu had a good variety of options sushi, bento, pho etc. The restaurant itself was various spacious and it was decorated nicely. I was happy that the waiters sat us and waited on our table. It was a 2pm, later lunch for us and a craving for Thai. There was maybe 1 person dining and soon left before we ordered. We decided on the 3pc tuna sashimi ($8.95) with a side of sushi rice $(1.00), shrimp spring rolls, pork and vegetable fried egg rolls, pad Thai and flat noodle with beef. The restaurant was very clean and orderly. Staff was very friendly, we met An Thinh, the owner who greeted as we walked in and didn't know that until the end. The sashimi was my favorite, on a bed of julienned daikon turnip. The seafood pad Thai was good, however sad to say that I've had better. The chef was kind enough to not over sauce the rice noodles and I preferred the sauce to be not as sweet. The dish was cooked to perfection although the waitstaff misinformed me with what seafood came in this dish. There were about 2-3 medium sized shrimp, a few mussels, calamari, and an artificial lobster substitute that you'll find in many Vietnamese dishes. The portions were generous with lots of beef in the flat noodle dish, not a burst of flavors however I loved the natural wok flavor of the dish. Craving some authentic pho, we happened upon An Thinh not realizing it was in our our neck of the woods. The staff is incredibly friendly, the restaurant is very clean, and the food is so fresh. We may or may not have eaten lunch AND dinner here in one day. For lunch we had the salmon roll, pho and tom, pho seafood, and the kids fried rice. For dinner we tried the pho brisket, salmon roll, California roll, the steamed dumplings, and a green tea with boba. All of it is the 'real deal'! I don't see how you could go wrong with anything on the menu. ** If you order pho, ask them to make you some chili oil and forget about adding sriracha! I have been craving Pho since moving here from Houston last year. This was a fairly new place and close to home so I figured I'd give them a try. I ordered Chicken Pho (small) and it was full of noodles and chicken. The broth was delicious! I also ordered shrimp spring rolls and they were some of the best I've had. The peanut sauce was tasty and they were perfectly made. Since there were so many items I wanted to sample, I got a chicken pad Thai to go. Even after a day and being reheated, it was incredible! Next time I go I will try the sushi but the pho and spring rolls sold me on this place. I will definitely make this my go to place for pho and spring rolls. read more

Came here with the wife last night. I specifically can for pho. However, being a new restaraunt I wanted to try a few items. When we arrived the place was busy. We were seated and our waitress was to us within 5 minutes. However, her attitude was not very friendly. When I asked to get a sample of the pho broth she said that they would have to charge me. I have never been charged but I thought maybe it's that good so I said ok. I also ordered the egg rolls and Cajun wings. The egg rolls came out piping hot. They reminded me of frozen egg rolls that were cooked in a fryer. It took almost 30 minutes for my sample of pho broth to come out. It was nice and clear but extremely bland. It tasted like they had made a concentrate and then added water when it was ordered. The waitress asked what I thought of the broth and I told her there was no flavor. She told me that you add the flavor with sauces and herbs, like hoison sauce or sarachai. I said hmmm.... I asked her what she would recommend on the menu and she said all the fried rice was really good. I ordered the steak fried rice. My Cajun wings arrived. You could see all the garlic on them but no seasoning. The wings were very bland. My steak fried rice arrived and guess what? NO Flavor!!! Overall, this place has a lot of potential. However, if they keep cutting corners and under seasoning food they won't be in business long. They charged me $7 for a sample of the pho broth.... I would not recommend this establishment due to both the quality of food and the quality of staff. read more

We order pick up on their second day of being open. The food was ready quick and it was hot when I got home. The restaurant looked very clean. While it seemed a bit hectic, that is expected for a new restaurant. The chicken pad Thai was very good and flavorful. It was missing the bean sprouts but still was yummy. The lean brisket and meatball pho was very good as well but again did not come with lime or jalapeño like listed on the menu. We both loved the egg rolls and the dipping sauce. I think that as they get more organized the orders will be even better. Overall we are happy to have the restaurant near home. read more

So, I'm 50/50 on this place. It will do in a pinch but I'm not sure I would go out of my way to go there. I do like their tofu spring rolls and ahi tuna wontons. What I didn't like is that they only have one sushi roll that they will make in soy paper-even if you offer to pay additional for soy paper, it's still a no which doesn't make sense since they have the soy paper there. No problem though, plenty of other sushi places in the area are fine to make sushi rolls in soy paper. Oh, And they served my Vegan brother in law a dish that had egg in it after he explicitly explained no egg or animal products because he was Vegan. read more

I have eaten at An Thinh Asian Cuisine numerous times since it opened and have also gotten take out. The food has always been good, including the sushi, but you pay for it. Their prices are higher than most other Asian restaurants I've been to with similar quality food. I didn't mind that, however, because the portion sizes were also larger. I could feed myself and my kid. A month or two after An Thinh Asian Cuisine opened, however, I ordered takeout one night and noticed that the portion size was tiny compared to other times I had ordered. Instead of a helping of Beef and Broccoli with two scoops of rice, I received a box with almost a pound of rice with barely enough Beef and Broccoli on top of it to cover the rice. I thought that it was a one-off and called the restaurant, and the woman I spoke to was very apologetic and offered to make it again. She also asked for me to bring the food back so that she could show the chef (who I thought might be new) as a learning experience. I was happy to do that. Unfortunately, the same thing happened the next time I ordered. Instead of a helping of Beef and Broccoli with two scoops of rice, I got a box weighed down with almost a pound of rice and a smattering of Beef and Broccoli on top that didn't even cover the top of the rice. I asked my wife, and she immediately noticed the same thing. She also said that for the second time the restaurant forgot to give her any of the accoutrements for her pho, like sprouts, hoisin sauce, hot sauce, basil, etc. We just can't justify spending almost $15 an entree for a few bites of food. I hope that they go back to a regular portion size. If they do, I know that we will be back since the food has always been good, but we're not willing to chance it on a $40 dinner. read more

This was a great gem we found. Being new to the area we missed our go to spots for certain favorites so it was nice to be able to add this to our list. The pho is amazing. The broth is super rich and flavorful. It is also packaged well for take out so you can enjoy your soup from the comfy couch. I really wanted to like this place. I just moved into an area very close by. This is the closest Asian restaurant to me at least that I have found so far. Things started off very slowly. We were seated right away, but then the waitress kept walking by us, repeat, and not stopping at our table. I finally had to stop her and ask when we would be taken care of. I ordered the seaweed salad. That was very good. My partner ordered a vermicelli dish, and I ordered a Banh Mi. His vermicelli came, but more than 10 minutes later, there was no sign of my Bahn Mi. I finally stopped someone (by this point, our waitress had disappeared, and we never saw her again). It was the sushi chef that finally assisted me and got me my order. My Bahn Mi was actually very good. However my partner's vermicelli was served with cold meat. Don't know if this was intentional, as we never had anyone to ask. Finally, when it came time to pay, we once again had to flag someone down after waiting quite some time. I love Vietnamese food (and sushi) but just don't see myself returning any time soon. read more

Very much a mixed bag with a recent dine-in experience. I have eaten here previously and I had some Ok Pho and the Sushi was one step up from HEB. But on this visit I brought my partner who was feeling the need for some noodles. She ordered the large Pho and she was disappointed with the amount of veggies that were brought to accompany the large soup bowl. Our waiter was nice enough to snag us some more upon request. He did seem to be a little bit unfamiliar with the menu which I found odd considering everything is very standard for a typical Viet/Sushi place. When the Pho did arrive, it was piping hot - which met my partner's requirements - and relatively tasty. But not really a strong enough example to pick a more local Cedar Park spot. I was not quite as successful with my order. I got the vermicelli with Grilled Pork and deep fried spring roll. The roll was on the smaller side but definately delicious. The noodles were outright cold and the veggies were a small portion without much flavor. But the pork was just weird. I thought maybe it had been fried up in a pan and my partner guess that maybe they boiled the meat. It had a strange light brown color like maybe it hadn't been cooked all the way through or it had been partially cooked and then finished at the time of the order. I tried to eat but after a couple of bites, I had to send it back. The waitress was pretty nice about it and I apologized because I have most likely eaten a Bunn Bowl almost 100 times in my life and I have never before asked to send one back. In fact, I can't ever recall returning any food at a Vietnamese place the last 20 years that I have been eating it. I then ordered Pad Thai chicken. It came out 10-15 minutes later and I honestly wouldn't have known it was Pad Thai if I hadn't asked for it by name. The sauce was some type of peanut/tomato/sweet goop. The rest of the dish was decent ingredients so I just ate the chicken and veggies and left the noodles. At that point I was pretty much over my diner and looking to exit. So when the check came, I signed it without paying much attention but then I started to do the math in my head. It turned out that they had charged me for both dishes that I ordered. When I brought it to the attention of the owner, she told me that she had to charge me since I had eaten some of the dish. I shared that I wouldn't have sent back a dish without trying it first. I also shared that I had never had to pay for something that was returned for poor quality before. But I offered to pay for both dishes if that is what it was going to take for me to be able to leave. For some reason, she then changed her mind and chose not to charge me for both. I didn't raise my voice or use a mean tone but maybe she saw the very frustrated look on my face. We need more Asian food options up North and I am typically a fan of family-run spots - so I hope that my experience was unusual. read more

Our favorite Chinese restaurant recently raised their prices so we decided to give this place a shot. The portion given for the Chinese dishes were smaller than most restaurants give for their lunch portions. There were roughly 7 pieces of general tso chicken. Every piece was completely overcooked and dried out and stringy. The filet noodles did have some good flavor and they nailed the spice, but the beef was also borderline beef jerky. My wife liked her pho which is why they got another star but I highly serve staying away from their Chinese food. The small portion size did reduce the amount I threw away (I don't think I have ever thrown away Chinese food in my life). read more
