The food was extremely bland and didn't have any taste. Quesabirria had no taste whatsoever and had more fat then meat. I felt so uncomfortable in that environment because the waitress have a very judgey look. There was small flies flying around and not to mention the strange smell from the food. I spent $133 for no flavor. The manager/ cook insisted she added the garlic sauce to my order. I can assure you she didn't. She offered for me to take it back and they can "add more sauce". It is now 3:27, and I'm still here waiting for my food. I asked the gentleman at front how much longer, & he said a few more minutes. That's the same thing he said when I arrived here. I asked him if I should cancel it, & he said it might be easier to cancel... after I've waited 30 minutes?! Regardless, I'm still waiting.. what choice do I have? I've already waited half an hour for my food. All in all I waited 45 minutes at restaurant. That's after I waited 20 minutes before going to pick up my food. The Huevos con Chorizo is my favorite! I usually go on Mondays and Tuesdays, it's a mellow and inviting place.

The great thing about this place is the consistency. We've been coming here for years for food - specifically the menudo. I am not a fan of lots of places but this place has menudo that has great flavor, great portions and you can get it different ways. I like to get this with maíz. The best is the tortilla hecho a mano that are so good. This trip also had us getting the carnitas tacos and I also recommend the handmade tortilla. The tacos are simple but crispy and very filling. I always get great service at Ana's . Ana's is really close to our house . We go here when we crave dine in authentic Mexican food. Everything I had so far here is really good . My husband always get the 7 mares I love to get the shrimp cocktail. My kids gets burgers fries sometimes taco sometimes a burrito depending what they are feeling. This last time I went they gave my kids coloring papers which I thought was a nice addition for service. They give u complementary chips salsa and this frijole dip which is good! We always get the agua de piña! So refreshing so yummy The restaurant is clean and the ladies working there are very quick and helpful. Ana Rosa is my go to for Mexican food in SL! I love their Al Pastor-- in anything from tacos, burritos, etc. I almost always get a super burrito. They're HUGE! I usually save half for a meal the next day. Their enchiladas verde and birria are also very good. When you dine in, the bean dip that comes with the chips is bomb. The only hit or miss experience I have is when I'm trying to order for takeout. Some days I've tried calling and no one answers. Some days I use GrubHub or another online service and it takes a while. Some days it takes 30+ min to prep if they're busy. read more

So I ordered the chicken enchiladas a la comal NO SOUR CREAM. If y'all know me.. based of my reviews y'all know I'm not a sour cream girl! Now we ate our food like 1 hour after getting it.. so it wasn't too hot. And y'all know enchiladas get soggy esp with all the lettuce and tomato toppings on top. I was a little sad because even soggy they were fucking bomb! I can only imagine how they taste fresh off the comal! Rice and beans were authentic Mexican cuisine! It was not busy when we first got there and for the most of our meal it remained that way, but the ladies were preoccupied.. their service was not hospital or friendly .. they're more worried about the appearance than how they're making their guest feel. Went for lunch and decided to choose from the Lunch specials, which are $12.50. As per the menu (which is the same as picture here on yelp except for now having higher prices), the Lunch specials come "Served with rice and beans." So when my item came without them, I was told that they're inside my burrito mojado. This is misleading and cheap. So if I order the tamales Lunch special are the rice and beans going to be inside the tamales? If I order one of the Caldos that come "Served with tortillas" are the tortillas going to be in the soup?? This is ridiculous. And the restaurant should be clear, especially in light of the now much higher prices. 3 stars because the burrito mojada I had was good. My friend's taco salad, not so much. read more

Finally found an authentic Mexican restaurant in our neck of the woods . The pozole was so good filled with big chunks of tender meat . The corn tortillas were hand made and so soft and paired perfectly with the pozole . We will definitely be ordering from here again when we crave that authentic Mexican food! read more

Their food is very tasty - my faves are the pozole, carnitas plate, lengua taco and the infamous spicy bean dip for the chips! My friend recommended this place to me and unfortunately I'm not very impressed with the food. The service was ok and the server was nice to offer to cut the torta and serve on two plates. There were pieces of the foil in my sandwich as seen in the picture but I am not docking points against them for this since they offered to cut it....just in the future might be better to cut it myself The chips they gave us with our meal was super stale...there wasn't a crunch and you tell they've been sitting out for some time. The salsa was good but spicy and the bean dip was very liquidy but was ok in flavor. My sis and I ordered a torta to share and my friend ordered the wet burrito. The torta was big and easily shareable...but it was mediocre in flavor. I wasn't very impressed and the meat wasn't very flavorful and there wasn't much in terms of flavor throughout the dish. They seemed to have hastily put it together because the sour cream was just plopped on one side of the bread and wasn't evenly distributed. I felt like the entire sandwich was pretty sloppy and lacked structure but that might be because we asked them to cut it. My friend got the wet burrito and the sauce was so liquidy. If you look on the burrito picture you can see the color of the tortilla because the sauce was so thin. It was a massive burrito but overall wasn't very impressive. The burrito tasted a lil better than the torta but overall I left kinda disappointed in my meal. I always rant and rave about this place but yesterday morning I was soooo disappointed. I ordered a trio combo plate and in it it had Chile rellenos. When I was about to take a bite why was the sauce take sweet and sour sauce. So I asked the waitress why is the sauce sweet? Her response" it depends on the chile". She must not cook because Chile rellenos are not sweet! I know cuz that's a staple Mexican dish. I had to throw away it was nasty. To top off the bad dish, her service was terrible.
