Had a lovely time here last night with a friend. I was very surprised to learn this place has been here for 10 years and yet I have never been, although I live close. The quality of the fish is very good, and many sushi dishes come with sauces already added that are bright and complex in flavor. Be aware, dishes don't come out quickly, and are being instead carefully put together by the one chef. We preferred this though as there was more of the expectation to sit back and relax, to savor the food instead The waitress was extremely helpful in making recommendations and refilling our drinks constantly. She seemed very concerned in making sure we were having a good time and enjoying all the dishes. The interior of this place is so cute as well. It has a very warm and cozy vibe. We went around 6pm and there was no wait, just a few other tables with what seemed to be regulars, who offered us a shot of sake haha ! I'll be excited to come again and enjoy both the food and friendly atmosphere

**Rating with a small child** My 4 year old and I came here on a weekday evening and were pleased how empty it was. We go to many sushi places together and he always orders the same things - tamago sushi, karage chicken, edamame - so I was hoping for a quick in/out dining experience. The ambiance was cozy - my kid likes to sit at the sushi counter and he loved the money tree. My son ordered lemonade, but when it came out, he said it tasted weird. I tried it, and it definitely came watered down / not good, so we returned it and got sprite instead. Oh well. The edamame came out fast, but the rest of our order took a while, despite there only being about 3 other tables. The chicken was... bland... it wasn't the usual karage that we are so used to, this was just crispy bland chicken. It came with a sauce which helped, but karage normally doesn't need to be dipped in sauce. My scallop dynamite roll was okay. It wasn't anything to rave about and it was to be expected. A little expensive for what it was, but I think that's market price. We were starting to feel quite full when my kid said "where's my tamago?" You're right - where is that tamago?! I asked the server and he checked the back, and said it was coming. But it still took another 15mins to finally get our order. We were so full, he could only eat one piece, but he said it was good. We boxed up the rest of our food and called it a night. Our waitress was kind and gave my son complimentary ice cream which was a nice gesture. Overall, food is nothing to rave about and service for a weeknight was slow. It was an average experience, and totally acceptable with a child.

    Four Season Roll

The food was delicious and unique. Very creative way of how 4 different fishes were combined in the Four Seasons roll with a nice spicy sauce that kicks in at the end. I got the chicken katsu combo and the salad dressing was mixed with black sesame sauce. My favorite was the crispy rice tuna appetizer. Crispy, not over burnt and delicious. The place is low key but don't be deceived by the strip mall and average ambiance. Go for the food!

Anaba sushi is a hidden gem in Glendora. You will not regret coming here. Their service is great, Richie plays the best music and makes the best specialty sushi. It's small. It's quaint and feels like you're in Japan. Please support them!

Love the environment! Richie & Margaret always make sure our dinner is amazing. Anaba Sushi was recommended to me 6 years ago and I have been coming here since. Some of my favorites are the Oh Baby handroll, Foothill Roll, Salmon carpaccio and Tuna Tostadas. Please have patience when coming here as Richie is the only chef I have always recommended this place! Must try

Delicious sushi. The uni was perfectly prepared and they had quail eggs! First time trying fatty tuna and it was so tasty. Definitely coming back to try more of their creations.

I feel like the service used to be a lot better and now there just seems to be more staff turnover, so whenever I come every few months, there are always new faces, with the exception of the two managers/supervisors. The food is good and sushi always tastes fresh. They use a fairly minimal amount of rice on the nigiri, which is a plus, so I can eat more of the fish...hahaha! One of their best things is the baked mussels and to date, they are still at the top of the list compared to all other sushi spots I've been to (and there have been A LOT). They are almost always busy, (unless you come during odd hours between lunch and dinner) so be prepared for a wait. And if you do come during the busy hours, it can get a bit noisy in here, but I don't mind this at all; it just means everyone is enjoying themselves, and I'm all for people being out and socializing. (Get outta the house and off those phones!) Overall, a reliably good sushi spot, if you don't mind 'just okay' service.

The lighting is also mild in a good way as it's not too bright nor too dark. You have a great view of the open kitchen regardless of where you're seated. Parking - Plenty of parking in a huge lot. Parking lot is shared with a shopping center next door, plentiful of parking. After browsing their HUGE menu, we ordered the Mango Special Roll, Rainbow Battera, and CHIRASHI, all to share. All the ordered items basically came out at the same time. It was about a 10 minute wait which is not bad at all. The Mango Special Roll is definitely the star of the show. The variation of mango sweetness along with the cream cheese + Outer layer of Salmon is just perfect. My wife and I loved it so much that we're gonna make this at home at some point. 10/10 recommend to order this. The Rainbow Battera is a plate of pressed sushi, 6pc of pressed sushi rolls presented very neatly and is basically a mix of each fish in a roll. Each roll is different so take your pick of roll to eat. A unique take to sushi rolls but highly recommend. Fish contains Tuna, Salmon, Yellowtail, Albacore, Ebi Shrimp, Shiso Leaf, and Bonito. The CHIRASHI consist of 12 delicious pcs of 6 kinds of sashimi, ikura, masago, shrimp, tamago & seaweed salad on top of sushi rice. It was very flavorful and definitely a shareable dish. I was impressed with the variation of sweet + salty flavors. Overall, a great conclusion to our evening dinner. I loved each sushi plate and their extensive menu.
