    Seafood Ramen
    Charlotte D.

We haven't eaten inside Rakuten, just gotten take out through their drive thru. The inside is unassuming and is kind of small, but it can accommodate single diners and large groups if necessary. Service was decent, only one server was working the tables, so understandably they couldn't come around to check on us as often. We ordered the seafood ramen, popcorn ramen (chicken karaage), pork bao, and a royal milk tea. Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend the milk tea, it tasted off and very unlike others I've had. For the ramen, we were able to choose our level of spice (4 for the popcorn ramen, 2 for the seafood ramen). The 4 was just at the precipice of needing water after every spoonful, and the 2 was fine, just in case our kid asked to try some. I would recommend both seafood and popcorn ramens; the shrimp in the seafood ramen were GIGANTIC, although a bit overcooked, and there was an ample amount of clams and scallops. The chicken karaage was well seasoned. The noodles were cooked perfectly, and I enjoyed them for lunch the next day. Definitely stop by to try out their signature ramen!

Came in for a quick Friday night dinner, service was excellent. The teriyaki chicken salad I got was so good and everything was very fresh. Definitely worth it price wise, I'm interested as to how a drive thru works here but look forward to trying it out.

Ramen is a new years tradition and I am so glad we decided to check this place out. The ramen was delicious and the service was great. I will definitely go back to try other dishes.

    Beef Ramen NEW !!!

I ordered the new beef ramen and it was really tasty! Great service and the wait was not long at all. Highly recommend visiting this establishment for some yummy ramen. 10/24/25 update because this place charged an additional tip for themselves. If you leave a tip, please check your bank acct a couple days later to check the accuracy. Very disappointing. This was reported to my bank.

My daughter's favorite ramen place. This is our go to ramen place in our area coz of the selection. We love the tonkotsu and miso ramen and love that the chashu melts in your mouth. We went for lunch and they have a lunch special with ramen, gyoza and salad. Very affordable - probably coz lots of college students in the area. Also... they have a drive thru! Try them out when you are near Azusa!

First time coming to this place and it was amazing! My husband and I were craving something warm on this cold rainy day and this ramen was the best!! We both ordered the Rakuten 88 level 4 and 5 of spicy. We will definitely be back!

    Chicken Katsu, and some Ramen

The Ramen and chicken Katsu were DELICIOUS! The chicken tattoo looked good on the menu!

Friendly staff, food arrived fast and hot. Service was lacking a bit. Tonkatsu miso ramen was a bit salty, had to ask for more broth to tone it down. The karaage chicken was delicious, crunchy. The katsu rice bowl was a good portion.

Vegetable Shoyu Ramen, good presentation and great taste. Good service and they work fast. Nice location and with drive thru.

Perfect place for some kids ramen .
    Lulu R.

Perfect place for some Kids ramen. As for me is not my go too the broth was something I can make my self at home with some ramen powder. I did love the utensils they provided to go. Hostess was friendly and attentive: ambience was nice to enjoy a peaceful evening but the weather outside was on point. So we had to enjoy some ramen on our truck. Perfect place to catch some nice colors of the sunset in the sky. Sometimes company makes dinner much more enjoyable.

Small little ramen restaurant that is in Azusa. I had the veggie ramen which was good. My husband and daughter had a create your own ramen which they loved. Surprisedly, they also have a drive thru.

    Unsatisfactory Health Standards.

The omelet wrapping the rice was nicely fluffy with a deliciously subtle blend of savory and sweet flavors. I enjoyed the diverse spices from the curry-flavored rice. With small chunks of chicken, the dish was slightly more filling. I wish there was just a little more curry portioned out. It's pork katsu, chicken katsu, curry sauce, fresh & clean rice, salad, and miso soup. It's a lot of food. I arrived on Wednesday (around 8:10PM). Parking is easy on a late evening. Although the lot is typically competitive, there were not too many cars in this large lot this night. Customers can order at the self-service kiosk or the counter. Staff is friendly and pleasant. Staff hands an electronic pager which lights up when your food is ready. My meal took seven minutes and 32 seconds. As mentioned, I ordered the Mix Katsu Combo ($19.99). Quality is usually consistent, but it was a little burnt and dry this evening. Still, it tasted satisfying when slathered with its well-seasoned curry. Personally, I found a lot of enjoyment with the fresh steamed white rice. Still, it's a guilty pleasure that serves huge portions. I've had much better katsu, this one felt a little dry, lacked rich flavor, and the breading was sparse and not crunchy at all. However, it was a very filling meal, and I definitely had leftovers.
