YUM YUM YUM! The bread is amazing and the sandwiches are DELICIOUS. I love Cuban sandwiches, and this was the best one I have ever had. Their breakfast isn't bad either. Delicious! Everything tastes so fresh and the people behind the counter were very kind and quick. We haven't found a nice spot to just grab an inexpensive sandwich anywhere in Key West. Simple, affordable, no gourmet but will do for a quick breakfast. Not too many sitting spots in the morning because of the sun blasting right into the sitting area. Word of advice is not to over complicate the order. Keep it very simple. read more

Our favorite Cubano on the island. Bare bones, order at the counter inside, but great deck to people watch and enjoy your meal outside. Great cortado next door when it's open. They also have fresh coconuts if you are looking to re-hydrate after a long night of Key West cocktails. read more

I would for sure recommend this place. It is a quaint local walk up eatery. It is a walk up window with picnic tables to eat on. This was my first ever Cuban sandwich. I had the traditional and it was very tasty. It is a flat sandwich that doesn't seem big, but is filling. We stayed on the eastern side of the island and saw this on our drive down to Duval. Also had a beef empanada which was good. This place was worth the stop, prices are reasonable too in an expensive town. Try it you'll like it! read more

We need migraine medication before an excursion and this place saved the day. Easy to get to from the wharf area. They also had coco quemado, which is a delicious Caribbean coconut treat. Well I love Cuban food and we flew through MIami and I did not get my chance to get some authentic Cuban food there. This place was right across the street from the Southernmost Hotel where we were staying. Not sure if we hit the wrong side but we were on the supermarket side. Wife had the standard Cuban sandwich and I had the Fiery Cuban that added pepper jack cheese and jalepenos. They made for the perfect brunch. Unfortunately I did not see any plantains or black beans and rice. Maybe we needed to hit the other side that looked like a coffee window. UPDATE - hit the market side for a couple more Cuban sandwiches again. Did not disappoint. Also hit the Cuban coffee side for breakfast. I decided to make a pit stop at Ana's on our long day of bike riding through the Keys for a little more liquid energy. I ordered a tall Cafe con Leche. Within minutes I had a delicious tall cup of sweet, hot coffee in my hand. I did not try the food here, but the sandwiches seemed very popular and looked downright delicious. The service I received from the outside ordering window was impeccable. They were prompt and the woman I ordered from was sweet and lovely. Now the reason they get 2 stars: I made the mistake of going inside the convenient store first where I was greeted with a confused look. I went up the the counter where a menu and deli was and asked for a Cuban to go from the man behind the counter. He then translated this request into Spanish for the woman actually making the Cuban. At first, I thought I should have probably ordered in Spanish but I didn't want to assume. They looked at me like I was lost and the man who translated was standoffish and rude. IF I was supposed to go outside and order then tell me so. IF people aren't supposed to order Cubans INSIDE the convenient store, then don't have a damn menu and deli with someone twiddling her f*cking fingers as if she needs something to do. Also, to that same man: you were SO nice to the tatted Caucasian couple in front of me but gave me nothing but attitude when it was time for ME to check out -I guess we Latinos really are just crabs in a barrel huh? By the way sweetheart, you're the one working at a convenient store and I'M the one who walked over from the Waldorf Astoria while on vacation. Let that one sink it. THANKS! read more

What a great breakfast find in Key West! Walking distance from our hotel with great food and even better prices. Service was friendly but a bit slow due to the fact it was busy (no surprise). It only offers outdoor seating which is enjoyable during winter temperatures, but if you're visiting in the Summer you may want to take it to go. read more

The man who makes the coffee is extremely rude. He was annoyed that we didn't tell him how we like our coffee when we placed order. He scolded me when I told him I assumed we were to fix it ourselves. He then dumped milk on my coffee it went all over and he just turned away. 25 minute wait just to get a cup of coffee and dry bagel. read more

Go for the coffee if nothing else. I don't even drink coffee anymore except for theirs every morning when I'm there. The Cuban sandwich is excellent. Plenty of picnic tables compared to similar carry out places in Key West. Patrons come in waves but I've never had to wait more than a few minutes for a table. read more
