We've had our eye on this place for a couple months now and finally decided to check it out. After a family Sunday movie at AMC we pulled the trigger and decided to walk in. The place looks nice and well decorated but our service and food was not good at all. Unfortunately it wasn't a good experience because our server was always forgetting something. They brought us the wrong tacos, forgot our soft drink and forgot our birria dinner. We constantly had to remind her about our order. Our chip and salsa were not good our Shrimp tacos came out cold they forgot my dinner. SMH. For the price I expected this place to be top notch. The only good thing here is their avocado appetizer and key lime pie! Not a fan of this place.

Ancho Mac and cheese and plantains

Our server/bartender Shane was awesome! Devonte also helped and was great. We loved the thick chips and the house salsa--a nice balanced heat. I had a standard prickly pear marg, ordered esquités, and plantains. They accidentally brought out the Mac and cheese, but quickly traded it out. The plantains were maduros, if you're familiar, or fried sweet plantains, and they were perfectly sweet and fried. The esquités were nice and creamy--not super seasoned, but good with chips! The dessert was amazing for the brown sugar plantains, brownie crumbles, and banana ice cream alone. The brownie itself was just okay. I would have preferred the ice cream with more brown sugar plantains as an option, but still very good. The restaurant itself was also very clean, nice decor, and the service was above and beyond. Not super expensive for the area either. I'd come back!

Plussed-up Mexican food chain restaurant with lots of drink options and some seriously delicious food. I always get the pork belly quesadilla; there are other things on the menu that look tasty to try but I keep coming back to it! My husband got the birria this time with the consomme for dipping. Queso comes bubbling hot in a Staub cast iron trivet. Margaritas are solid! Come early; it's always busy.

I've eaten here twice in one week. My first visit was a 5-star my second visit was a 3-star hence my 4-Star rating. During my first visit I ordered a trio of their Avenue tacos, barbacoa, Baja fish and carnitas, they' were all great but the carnitas was amazing! Quite possibly the best carnitas I've ever had. I went back today and ordered two more carnitas tacos for lunch and they were totally different than the ones I had a few days ago. They were still good but not nearly as good and totally different both in appearance and taste. Also, I ordered the Pina Rita margarita on both occasions and it two was different both times. The first time it was much creamier and tasted better and had a huge toasted coconut rim, today the pins Rita was not nearly as creamy and there was little or no coconut on the rim. After my first visit I was excited about this place but four days later I now feel disappointed. I'm going to go back and give it one more shot but the simple fact that they have zero consistency is worrisome. I'll leave another review after my next visit.

First time there for a Girls' lunch today. Appetizers we shared the classic guacamole and esquites, both were delicious! The one of my girlfriends got the Carnitas Enchiladas in green sauce (I tried a bit of it and it was delicious!). I went with some tacos and so did the other friend in our group. Food was amazing. Price was decent. Service was great, and even the manager came to introduce himself and wish us a great meal. The restaurant is brand sparkling new, very open and doesn't feel crowded. We arrived right at noon, and place was quite empty, but filled out steadily! Pretty good turnout for a Monday lunch! I'll definitely be back

We came here for dinner on a date night and had a really nice time. My husband made a reservation for Sunday night for 6:45pm but we showed up closer to 6:30pm and they were still able to seat us right away. The interior is spacious but it will still bustling. It was my first time here, my husband had been to another location before. The server was really informative and asked if we wanted any recommendations and also helped me choose between margaritas. The chips and house salsa were really, really good. The tortilla chips tasted like they were freshly fried and the salsa was a deep red (but not spicy) sauce. To start, we shared 2 apps: trio of salsas and a traditional queso. The queso was "wow" for lack of a better word, with pickled veggies and jalapeños cooked along with the cheese for maximum flavor. This was both of our favorite item of the night. I also ordered the jalapeño margarita and 2 tacos (al pastor and a fried cauliflower). My husband got a mezcal (neat) to sip on and 3 tacos (al pastor, crispy fish, el gringo). The service was friendly and the food was divine. I can see why Ancho & Agave, a chain serving sit-down Mexican fare, brings in all the business it does. I think it's going to do well in Naperville. If it's any sign that I loved this place, during the meal I declared, "I want to have my birthday here." And I take birthday meals very seriously. A bday meal is the perfect excuse to order 14 tacos served on their 14-taco taco tray (that I saw being served at one of the longer tables with a bigger group). Or maybe you don't need any excuse at all - go for it. Pitcher margs and taco trays; I can see how they are known for their "tacos + amigos + tequila." Five stars.

Impressive interior - spacious, bright, and colorful. Greeted warmly by the hostesses. Seated immediately. Our server, Elani, was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. Our food came out quickly. Food: The calamari was excellent... light, crispy, flavorful. 5 stars. Steak fajitas - 4 stars Shrimp taco on a corn tortilla - 5 stars Kung Pao Chicken - 3 stars - great flavor but super dry. A bit pricey.

New, snazzy looking restaurant in Naperville. Variety of typical Mexican foods, no unique entrees. Tried the white chicken chili, a bit mild for my liking and had a barbacoa taco. A bit dry with just a little drizzle of a crema. Flavorful but had to add some salsa. Prickly Pear margarita was delicious. Our waitress was attentive.

First time coming. We got sat very quickly but it took over 20mins for someone to come to the able, and it took someone from our party to get up and tell someone, in order for them to come. Servers were super nice but still service was very slow, we also had to get the waitress to get our sever so we can pay at the end. For the food, didn't care much for the salsa, I think it would be nice if they gave a few options since that is one of my favorite things when I go to a Mexican restaurant.. didn't care for the rice. I did enjoy my Birria tacos. My husband loved the pastor tacos. The thres leches cake was very good as well. Drinks were the best thing there!!! Nice open seating with lots of room. The service just spoiled the rest of the experience

I read some people exaggerating about the wait times. It does not take long for them to help you. Like Jewel or Mariano's, they're not going to slice your meat in 10 seconds if that's what you're hoping for. Btw the staff was nice. I think the Karen's that complain about them being rude are not very cultured and only know American culture. I ordered the signature pastrami sandwich for $10.99 and it was a very generous portion size. She put a ton of meat in it. The pastrami wasn't tough, it was fresh and soft. Honestly, I had Katz's in NY and this was a really great pastrami sandwich. I also got a large cannoli and meat pierogis. The cannoli was delicious. The pierogis were good but I like to have softer skin. The meat filling was fine but the outside was a bit too tough. I've been to a number of Polish restaurants and they usually make the skins very soft to cut. I would rate these pierogis like a 4. Overall, it's about a 4.5. Prices were very cheap. I got everything for $20. I will definitely return to try more items.

It was a solid 7, which is why I place it at 3.5 stars. I may be being picky here but it just wasn't to the level of "melt-in-your-mouth" pastrami standards for me. Not to say it wasn't good, because it was perfectly fine. In fact, it's better than most of the pastrami sandwiches I tried in Chicagoland. Maybe it's the fact that I had to bring it back to the office to eat it, and half hour had gone by and pastrami weren't as warm and the Jewish rye had become soggy by the time I took the first bite. I mean, it goes without saying that the sandwich would have been 3 times better had I sat down immediately and had it. Again, all things considered, it was a perfectly good sandwich. One interesting thing was that I had never been to an establishment that included a half sour pickle instead of a normal one and gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised. Pickles can be a hit or a miss for me. I like my pickles to be crunch, but some places offer overripened ones that become borderline mushy. Schmaltz's half sour pickle was not overly salty or sour, making it very attractive for me. The more I'm thinking about it, I'm convinced that I'll have to go back and try their #14 Sloppy Paul, which is the corned beef with sauerkraut, which is another favorite of mine. Out here in deepest Suburbia, sometimes things present a vaguely Disneyesque artifice, where, if…read morethe fantasy world was more advanced, "Quotation Marks" would appear magically in the air around buildings (and, alas, people) indicating irony should be applied as a mitigating factor. This is not to imply in any way those places (or people) are therefore any less in quality or to be avoided. But I digress... I've driven past the "Paris Bistro" here, since it was established, and, unfairly thought "yeah, right". Why? Route 59 is a 1000% American Commerce Zone, rife with every franchise on the docket, and conformity is securely on the menu. And rightly so. Folks out here may have had their success, but they were raised in front of American TV, and their consumer habits developed accordingly, especially with regard to cuisine and eating habits. There are, of course, bona fide Ethnics in the general area, but those are germane to the Communities in residence. (Some FAB Chinese, Indian and Mexican places-q.v.) I am not aware of a burgeoning French settlement anywhere nearby. Around here "Cooper's Hawk" passes for "fine dining", and if you've ever fine-dined, you'll know Cooper's Hawk may parlay a decent feed, but it ain't Alinea, Bubba. In the far Western and Southwestern Chicago 'burbs, folks' Culinary tastes are as conservative as their politics. So whither "Paris Bistro"? It's a handsome suburban building with inviting signage. When you walk in, you pass a bar having an impressive array of boozes. Keep going west past the bar and you're in a room mimicking a rural setting, if a rural setting had curved leather banquettes. There's a more traditional dining room on the other side of the bar, but I didn't go in there. It was daytime, and bright, but when daylight ebbs, I'll bet both rooms are romantic. The service is reserved and accommodating-you're not going to find a wisecracking "Alice" on the staff. The menu actually is pretty accurate as a French Bistro in the USA. Lots of Français on it (in the titles), but the descriptions are all clear English. You don't have translation to fear. The menu is extensive, and features many traditional "Bistro" faves, along with select "American" choices. I was in for Brunch. Disregarding conformity, I ordered the Escargot for Hors D'oeuvre, not that I wanted to, but because I am pathologically incapable of NOT ordering Escargot if they are on the menu before me. They were yum, but I wish there was a softer bread available for sopping the buttery-garlic goodness remaining after the morsels are consumed. As "they" say, a French Chef is judged by their prowess in cooking a simple Omelette, so that's where I went. "Jambon et Gruyere" to be exact. It wasn't a large beast, but it was tasty, light, and properly prepared. No sign of the Rugby-Ball pancake-batter-enhanced behemoth omelettes you'll find in common Coffee shops. Accompanying was a (very) small salad of nice composition, with just enough fruity vinaigrette to satisfy. Also on the plate were tasty and ultra-crispy "shoestring fries". I'm not a slave to potatoes with breakfast. but these were damned good. The problem at hand (so to speak) was the transport from plate to mouth, as they were very thin and very crisp. Both fork and spoon were inefficient. I thought of using the spoon to crush them, thus rendering spoon a contender to preserve my dining decorum. In the end, I bit the bullet and just picked them up in hand, decorum be damned. I wish I had a bucket of these for movie-watching snacks at home. The coffee was a conundrum. It arrived with a strongish smell, like it was burnt and past its prime, but lacked the acrid flavor such as found in a forlorn brew. It was actually a fine, bold, cup of VERY dark roast. It's a nice, sophisticated (but not snooty) resto, dignified but not stuffy. If you need to have a business breakfast/brunch, this is a perfect place. Also, if you're not in the mood for the hustle and bustle of a noisy coffee shoppe. Prices a bit higher than you might expect, but... I quite enjoyed both the bread and circuses here, and while I never mistook myself from being anywhere else than in Naperville (not Paris), I caught the vibe, and it was nice. I am officially pissed at myself for not stopping here sooner. No "quotation marks" for this place. Throwing 4 stars (for now), and I'll be back here very soon for dinner.

I recently went to Paris Bistro for a Galentine's Day tea with my Pilates friends. We were a group…read moreof five. We were shown to a table in the room to the right of the host stand. That room is usually where they sit families. It was not our choice and we voiced our opinion to sit in the dining room. The staff immediately switched everything to the warm and inviting dining room. The food provided was tasty from the mini sandwiches to the tartines to the sweet treats. I have to say there was an inconsistency with sizing. Some were generous and some were lacking. They could've done a better job with consistency so we all got the same sizes. The tea service was very cute but you were only able to choose a couple teas. I've been to other teas at Suzette's and Pinecone Cottage where the tea is unlimited, as well as they ask if you would like another tasting of something that you really liked. I felt for the money this tea service was limited as well as not consistent. It was a great way to spend time with my Pilates friends, though. I could see myself doing this again if there were improvements made and they were more generous by offering an additional taste.
