FOOD- food was regular and incredibly overpriced. $12 for 4 pieces of bacon, or basically any one thing you want on your "breakfast board". The sandwiches are $15, they're alright. Apparently at 10:30am they have zero milk... odd. Or is it that they were wanting us to leave? Which brings me to my next point: SERVICE- bad service. They did not know how to kick us out. It was three of us and a sleeping baby. We walked in and asked if we should sit ourselves or if there was a host. Rudely they pointed to just find a table, which we did. We tried to be as much out of the way as possible and yet the lady with short hair, piercings and tattoos passed by us several times making rude comments about us to other patrons, almost annoyed that we took the table in the back. Every time she walked by she was looking at us. You can tell they did not want us there... which made the entire experience very uncomfortable. I wish we would have spent our money at another, more welcoming environment. To be honest there are many small businesses in the area that deserve your money. I do not recommend this place nor will we be back. read more

It's very "instagram". Super cute concept. My girls loved it. It was conveniently located. The food was good too. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because the price is crazy. It was $12 for 4 strips of bacon. Granted the bacon was great but $12? As a matter of fact everything you order Ala cart is $12 each. So the waffles $12, Brie and honey $12.... Whatever. The sandwiches are $15. For $15 I want a good bacon egg and cheese sandwich. Well the egg is like liquid egg in a mold. So you can't order it a certain way. Also the bacon on the sandwich is that microwaved thin bacon. The bagel sandwich still somehow tasted good but def needs improving for that price. I mean they should have used that $12 bacon on their sandwich and cooked a proper egg for it. The waffle with the whipped cream and cute honey syrup was worth the $12. We were out $48 for the board you see here and an iced tea. Just fyi. Takeaway from this is super cute presentation. It's an experience. read more

Location,location....and it would appear the customers pay for it.$12 for a slice of quiche and $15 for a breakfast croissant ?As much as I prefer local businesses to support,this cafe came close to losing our business altogether.We had just gotten into town following a red eye flight and we were tired and hungry.At first glance the menu didn't appeal to me ,so we left and walked around historical St Augustine.It was so early in the day that nothing else nearby was open,so we returned to the cafe.The staff/owners were very friendly and on top of things.Place is clean and inviting,so if you don't mind spending a bit more than usual,give this place a go. read more

This place was so cute much smaller then I expected walking in but had so much character. We ordered waffles, fresh fruit and potatoes and it all came served on a cute board. We loved everything we ordered I think potatoes were both our favorite. The staff was amazing they made sure everything was just right and asked if we needed anything else best customer service we have had anywhere in a long time. I wish we had a place like this where we live such a cool idea for a weekend brunch. read more

It was a pretty cramped environment that was uncomfortable to sit in, with people in your space pretty constantly. Service felt tough to get with some missing menu items and an unorganized experience. Some of the food we had was also being warmed up in a microwave oven, which is unfortunate when you're paying a fair bit of money read more

I'll start with what gives this place more than one star: the food. We had the waffles, Keish and bagel sandwich. All surprisingly presented on a single cutting board. We had to figure out that the process included getting our own plates. This leads to the overall disappointment; the staff behind the counter is young and it would appear all have been dropped on their heads at an early age. ABSOLUTELY NO PERSONALITY offered by anyone. The lab that roamed about exhibited the most engagement. Bottom line: go for a light snack, but ambiance fails miserably. read more

This spot is AMAZING! Great service, and the owner/manager was extremely accommodating and kind. The food was delicious!!! Got the bacon, sausages, breakfast sandwich and French toast! The sangrias aren't super sweet which is good. Coffee also great. Be mindful of seating, super limited but other than that I would most definitely come back again! read more

My favorite place of my entire trip! Worth every penny! We ordered the pitcher of mimosas as well and it came in handy. The breakfast potatoes were top tier. It is a first come, first serve basis so be prepared to wait for a table. Luckily, we had no issues and the staff were so sweet and helpful. If you are not familiar with the concept of a charcuterie board perhaps you should do some research before. Definitely worth the money, we were so full after! read more

Awful all the way around. Understaffed but seems overstaffed. The owner was hosting the restaurant, servers were running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Our server was brand new it seemed like and couldn't tell us anything about the menu. Long wait times on food and drinks. A lot of other frustrated tables near us. For a "nice" brunch place this was a sad experience. We should have saved our money and ate at the hotel. read more

Came her on a Sunday, 8/27/23 to be exact. No reservations to be made just walk in. We arrived at about 11am, and there were two; two seater tables open then the crowd arrived. You're given a menu you order at the front and then they give you a number and bring you your food. Our order took a while about 40min or so, much longer than desired. I really like the idea of breakfast on a wood board; it's almost genius. Food was tasty, we did the waffle, potatoes, bacon, and yogurt. The waffles were my favorite, bacon was a bit too thick and salty for me, the potatoes were great! Yogurt was fine typical just like any other vanilla yogurt. My only reason for this review not making it to the 5 stars was customer service was lacking. The feel from start to finish for my visit was off. The lady that took our order was cold, not friendly at all, the lady that brought us the food same deal not friendly, that's a big deal breaker for me when going out. Other than that it was a pretty good visit, inside is very small and compact, but decor was nice. If your in the area and want to try something new definitely stop in. read more

My wife and I decided to make the short drive from Orlando over to St. Augustine for the weekend to celebrate our 10-year wedding anniversary. We wanted to experience the best St. Augustine has to offer so we booked a room at the famous Casa Monica Resort & Spa. Saturday morning we woke up craving some good breakfast. Luckily we discovered that the Ancient City Brunch Bar was located within the same building. We walked in and the staff, along with one of the owners, were so welcoming. We placed our order at the counter and decided to sit outside. Our coffee and latte came out first. Then when our food arrived, it was certainly a sight to see. We had both ordered the Quiche Lorraine, breakfast potatoes, and two muffins. It was all served on a wooden board. It was also served with a very tasty locally made sauce (Minorcan Mike's Datil Pepper Sauce). The food was SO DELICIOUS! It was so good, my wife and talked about it all day. We ended up going back Sunday morning before heading back to Orlando. We brought our 2 little yorkies with us this time, at which they were welcomed in. Breakfast was just as tasty as the morning before. Before we left, we made sure to order some coffee, muffins, and a jar of that Minorcan Mike's to go. Whether you are a St. Augustine local or an out-of-town visitor, my wife and I highly recommend Ancient City Brunch Bar for some of the best breakfasts in this historic town. read more

We drove to St Augustine ny boat and stayed the night. For breakfast, we stopped off here at ACBB. The staff was as friendly as can be expected before the first cup of coffee hits lol. Breakfast was good and the latte was amazing! No soda if you're a carbonated breakfast beverage kinda person but its prolly better that you don't drink liquid sugar anyway. read more

I see many Great reviews but unfortunately my experience was not all that good. We had just done a 5 hour drive and were so hungry and excited to try out this place as we had read many great things about it. We were under impression. It was a plate of vertía. Things but no...everything is sold individually and meant to be as a charcuterie board. Anyways...we go in and we order waffles and were told they had ran out. Okay. Well, we proceeded in ordering the French toast and even paid. Well, that ended up being sold out as well. It was very disappointing because it wasn't even noon and as we were going down the list, it felt like they had ran out of everything. We ended up getting refund and going elsewhere but sucked because it was pretty early in the day, and there wasn't much available. Would be good to also keep staff updated as far as what IS and isn't available. read more

The food here was pretty good; no complaints regarding the taste. It wasn't anything amazing or spectacular but it was plated great! Then in regards to the price I'd certainly say it's overpriced for what you do get. The ambiance was nice for breakfast once we got a table although it was a bit crowded when we got into the restaurant. The service was interesting and definitely not consistent. One gentleman was very nice and even asked our opinion and what we thought before we left. Another lady seemed either passive-agressive or she lacked self awareness or she literally just hates her own life (we tried to peg it but no clue). When asking for sugar for our coffee she looked at us with wide eyes like we were trying to rob the place then proceeded to say very loudly 'you can serve yourself over there'. She something else too but was sort of hard to understand (just a really odd exchange for someone working at a resturaunt). Probably would not come back here again but worth a try. read more

Was looking for a brunch place one weekend and spotted this place in St. Augustine. Nice small and cozy restaurant. We ordered 2 different types of quiches Lorraine and Spinach artichoke), belgian waffles, and brie cheese and honey crackers. We were amazed at the presentation of the food placing it on a huge wood board. All the food we ordered were fresh and delicious and the portions were a good size for our party. Liked the food and service was pretty good. One negative was wife ordered cappuccino with vanilla flavoring. She couldn't taste any vanilla. I couldn't either. I asked if they could add a bit more as we couldn't taste it. Waitress said they were out so she just brought one without. Would have been nice if they could have said that. They did offer other choices and we took one- since they charged us for it. read more

Visiting St. Augustine with hubby and found this little gem while wandering around the main downtown area. Chatted with the owner a bit- family owned and run, super friendly. Hubby got the matcha latte, I got the normal latte, both delicious. We split the bacon, egg, and cheese croissant and the Belgium waffles. Wasn't a ton of food which was perfect to not leave stuffed. All in all very tasty- do recommend! read more

Had heard about Ancient City Brunch Bar but had never had the time to stop in during our yearly trip to st aug...man were we missing out.
