I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with the experience my family and I had at your St. George Street location. What should have been a pleasant dining experience turned into an extremely stressful and disappointing situation due to the unprofessional conduct of the manager on duty, Ms. Kale. Upon arrival, my family and I were instructed to wait outside, which we did patiently for nearly an hour. Despite this long wait, we were then seated in an extremely crowded area with no regard for comfort, space, or safety. This lack of organization created significant stress for us, especially given my current recovery from a broken femur and hip. Additionally, my elderly mother, who flew from another country to visit us, and my four children -- including one with special needs -- were placed in an environment that was unnecessarily overwhelming and preventable with proper management. What made the situation far worse, however, was the behavior of Ms. Kale. When we voiced our concerns politely, she responded with unacceptable rudeness. Instead of offering a professional apology or attempting to correct the situation, she dismissed our concerns and even laughed in our faces. This reaction was not only unprofessional but deeply disrespectful. It reflected a complete lack of leadership, empathy, and customer-care standards. It is clear that this location is focused on bringing in as many guests as possible for profit, yet management is failing to properly coordinate seating, resulting in overcrowding and poor guest experiences. A manager's role is to ensure smooth operations and address issues respectfully -- something that was clearly lacking under Ms. Kale's supervision. I hope that this complaint is taken seriously, as no family should be treated in this manner. I request that appropriate action be taken to address the behavior of the manager and to improve the overall management practices at this location. Thank you for your attention. Worst dinner out I have had in years. Left outside in the cold and then my credit card was lost. I called to have it returned as they stated they had it in hand. This has been 4 months now and I still haven't received my credit card. Cancelled the card and think the same should happen to this mediocre, over priced restaurant that does nothing to the enjoyment of St. Augustine. Sad. read more

The view was amazing. The service was good, although we did have to hunt someone down to get seated. Once we were seated our waiter was very attentive. I got the fish sandwich. On the day I went the fish was red snapper. It was a very large piece of snapper, it just needed a little more seasoning. My husband got the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and he thought it was so good that he refused to share. I would definitely go back. read more

Debbie found this place to have our anniversary dinner. Great venue where the pizza place used to be. Really nice inside. We had reservations and requested a table outside and that is where we were seated. View of the old gate was so nice Looking over the menu there were so many great sounding dishes. Tried to to get too much since we were so hungry so we enjoyed what we did order. We started with a couple of soups. A cup of mushroom and French onion. The Mushroom soup was so good. Full of mushrooms and a great broth. Very good. This was amazing. The Onion soup was missing something. Didn't have the depth for f flavor I expect in a onion soup but was still pretty good. For our main we got the filet. OMG. It has been a very long time since I have had a steak cooked that good. The cliché "it cut like butter" was invented for this steak. delicious. The asparagus was cooked perfect al dente as well. Surprising given how big it was! We had a few glasses of wine with each course from there slection which was pretty good. We were glad to have made a reservation for late lunch on the second story with a great view of the Castillo. I enjoyed the short rib Bahn Mi while my fellow diners raves about the avocado toast with salmon and egg, the pancetta and berry salad, the poblano hash (not sure of the name on this one, but it was so good, also with short rib) and the French salad with yummy vegetables including gold and red beets & watermelon radish with a whipped goat cheese. Sadly you can't give zero stars. We came here today to walk around downtown and stopped here for food. Our waitress came around only a few times. We asked to send back the water bottle they had for serving at the table as there was mold growing in the rubber seal. We watched one of the managers, who was standing on her phone, ask what it was, a server explain it and then brought us a new bottle that didn't have a lid on it at all. Food finally came out and I went to take a bite out of the side Cesar salad, a literal bug crawled out of it when I moved the lettuce. Again, our waitress this time took it, took it over to the bar area and showed it to the manager who again was standing on her phone, never addressed again and instead a few minutes later brought a salad and just stuck it on the table and walked off. When we asked for our ticket we even found out for our party that they added their own gratuity, which was actually less than what we had laid out for them in cash until we realized that. We wanted to be able to sample several places while down here which is why we all order small plates or shared plates which really seemed to annoy our waitress. She spent as little time at our table as she possibly had to. We watched another table get up and walk out after no severs came to see them after about ten minutes. They are not attentive, the food that didn't have bugs in it was mediocre at best especially when compared with their prices. Walking in it really looked like a decent fine dining experience. Amazing evening, our waitress was Stellar. I really wish I caught her name. However, if the manager looks up waitress for a Birthday Celebration for 6; reserved on 3/24 at 7:45pm Please give her the recognition she deserves. We were given the option of sitting up stairs on the outside or inside on the main floor. My dad chose inside since the spot was more secluded and intimate perfect for enjoying family time. I loved the velvet green couch it was so comfy and just made the experience all the more better. We started off ordering drinks, and I started off with a Squash Soup. Best I have ever had ! Beat out all of my favorite spots back home in California. Entree specials all sounded amazing, we all wanted to go with the Short Ribbed Ravioli, but there was only enough to order 2. It was served in a creamy spinach sauce all of it was Perfect. The short rib dish was also ordered; that came accompanied with green peas, and a potato block. The meat was so tender it just fell apart. Others ordered the shrimp and they loved it. At the end of dinner a sparkling cheese cake round was brought out for me in celebration of my birthday. Service is top notch. We made reservations and requested the second floor but forgot to ask to sit outside. No problem! The hostess quickly showed us a spectacular table outside. Danielle was our server and admitted that this was the best place she ever worked! Wow! All this and we hadn't even ordered yet! We started with a warm crusty baguette (with a glass of wine) I had the scallops on top of polenta. Scallops had just enough of a crisp topping to them. Polenta was creamy and light. My husband got the seared tuna. Also very good. We finished the dinner by splitting the bread pudding. That was worth every calorie and gram of fat! Overall a great experience! read more

We visited this restaurant the second time in November' of 2023. We were there in April of the same year. We were so impressed with the food and the excellent service that we experienced in April. This time, the waiter told me that the ownership had changed. But the chef is the same. The place was not vibrant as before, the menu selections were less and the service was not as super as before. So, we were disappointed and did not know what to expect. But to our surprise, the food was excellent. I had the best short rib ever. Because of the fact the food was exceptionally good, I still give 5 star. read more

Visited this restaurant a few times, usually had a good meal and service, however since the new management the service is horrible. Waiting 45 minutes for food, portions size shrunk. Other table sat 15 minutes after our order had been places and received their food before us. New drink policy for refill, YOU PAY FOR EACH SODA REFILL. Asked for the manager, was told there is none. The food was very good. I had the pork chop, which was perfectly cooked and very tasty. However, the service left a lot to be desired. We waited almost 15 minutes before we were acknowledged after being seated. Then out service was OK for a while. After I ordered a second glass of wine during the meal, it was a very long time before it was delivered, such that I didn't really want it anymore. The server didn't acknowledge the excessive delay. Had a wonderful server by the name of Beth. She was very personable, attentive and helpful. We sat outside on the balcony about 7pm overlooking some beautiful St Augustine Christmas Nights of Lights. I need to leave this review because on Christmas Eve we had an experience here that left an absolutely sour taste in our mouth, and I certainly won't be returning. We had two tables reserved Christmas Eve for a party of 14. For the meal itself -- listen the food is perfectly adequate, although the first steaks they brought out were over cooked to well done and they needed to do them again. The reason for the one star review is that after the meal, I asked the waitress if they had any Courvoisier, an after-dinner cognac. She replied, "We don't, the only cognac we have is Louis the thirteenth." Thinking they were comparable because that, to me, was implied in her response, I said "Okay sure." Courvoisier is anywhere between $10 and $25 per glass at any given restaurant. Louis XIII, as I learned when the bill arrived, is something they charge $500 for per glass. That's 2 ounces of liquid for $500. It was completely unacceptable that they believed I would magically know they had just fraudulently upsold me by a factor of FIFTY TIMES the price of the original drink about which I inquired. When I brought this up with the waitress, she said nothing, and neither did the manager. As a group, we were already spending near $1000 for 14 for Christmas Dinner. At best, this was a sleazy business tactic, at worst it was downright fraud and it added $500 to a bill and they absolutely should have known better. We left what should have been a nice Christmas dinner experience feeling as if we had been conned by this establishment, because we *were* conned by this establishment. I highly recommend avoiding it, if you are in the area, try The Drunken Horse or the Michelin-quality steakhouse up the street. Anywhere else honestly. I know I'm never going back. read more

Wonderful meal with a great view of the river. The wait staff was helpful and efficient. The main part of the restaurant is up a set of stairs, but it is worth the effort. Best meal we have had out this season. read more
