Newly renovated but food did not impress me. Flatware was bent and dirty and my burger arrived burnt. I overheard others at the table next to me commenting that their burger was dry and over cooked. I ordered my burger without cheese and bacon and it arrived with cheese and bacon. Fruit mix was not fresh when served. This restaurant is in a Marriott property so I expected better quality. The menu was limited. My server was the bright spot. Attentive. I would just stick with just the drinks here or maybe apps. read more

Stayed at the Marriott and had dinner and breakfast here. Dinner was tasty but service was a bit slow albeit at 930pm after they were winding down. Had the seafood chowder which was a tomato-based (but not at all too tomato-y) chowder with very good flavor and fair amount of seafood bits in it. Then I had the chopped salad. It was good, had some sort of diced salami along with other vegetables, but it was a lot of salad and some other ingredients. I think the cook staff forgot to put any dressing on it. I could faintly detect a hint of dressing but it was not much at all. I asked whether the dressing was very light on flavor and the waitress said it should be very distinct. She brought out another but of dressing which really helped. It was a Tuesday night which meant mojito was the special. I didn't specify my rum, but it came back quite delicious although served in a plastic cup. Breakfast was your basic buffet with sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, a self-service waffle machine, an omelet bar which I had and was good, and they would freshly make pancakes or french toast upon request. Coffee was strong and good. Service was good but my waitress was very busy at times. Overall a decent experience, but you'll pay typical high hotel prices for an above average meal. Value is meh comparing food to cost, food quality is above average, service was average, and ambiance was very good. read more

The hostess on Monday evening was a sweetheart and very engaging. My server Carey was incredible. Very knowledgeable about the menu and recommended the scallops which were delicious. We arrived at the restaurant realizing it was the wrong place we wanted to go to but decided what the hell were in valet let's go for it so we did and it was a nice surprise very clean great service from Sherry Jeanne and a nice view of the pool Foods a bit pricey because it is inside a Marriott Hotel however if you're looking for a place to just get away for a little bit I do recommend the salad and the salmon with the bagel was really enough for 2 people it was a little bit now because there was a wedding party here but all in all a good experience read more

It's good. Nothing exceptional. We were here on a Friday night and they were out of wings. The goat cheese appetizer was good. The fried shrimp and calamari was also good. This restaurant is located inside the Marriott so it's expensive. However the bar tender does a good job mixing drinks. read more

A Christmas Dinner Disaster!!! At the Marriott Hotel in Pompano Beach.. Last week I found this place advertised in the New Times.. I called the restaurant spoke with the chef.. Name? He read me his new Christmas menu..snapper,lamb chops, pompano fish, etc.. Was told could arrive anytime from 330 pm on and start with appetizers and drinks. I told him I was bringing my elderly parents with my mom being in a wheelchair... This guy assured me "his staff would be accommodate us and we would enjoy our meal!" We arrived at 330 pm.the lady at the front desk "Ana" was pleasant.. She offered to use our camera to take a few pics by the . She "Ana" showed us the framed Xmas menu and" told us to enjoy our meal!" When we got to the dining room a sign read... "please wait to be seated"...yet, no staff was around... 1 customer was seated at a table. 1 man at the bar... Still after 10 minutes... No staff to seat us... I then walk out to the pool area to ask if someone can seat us. We sat down and was given a "lunch menu" of fried tidbits... that one would expect to eat poolside or at a bar, my father requested a shrimp cocktail.".the waitress had to get permission from the boss she said!" We ordered 1 corona, 1 coke, 1 water...never arrived. We asked for bread... Waitress again confused... Said "not on menu!" Then I asked "why she gave us the luncheon menu... Where is the Christmas menu? She said "not served til 5pm..blah blah blah No exceptions... I told her "we were told to come at this time... End result... Nothing ever made it to table... She refused to bring the "boss" to the table, the supervisor arrives... Looking dazed and waiving around the Xmas menu refusing to accommodate us.. It took us 1.5 hrs one way to get there... We Just Walked Out.. I will be calling Marriott Corp in the am. Lady at front said as we were leaving "the waitress is in training today!"..lol read more

I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant and quality of the food. The service was phenomenal especially the manager Anna. I had the wonderfully prepared risotto with perfectly cook scallops and prawns with pancetta, peas, wild mushrooms, and a truffle drizzle. For dessert I had the New York cheesecake with a berry compote.... It was delightful with a decaf coffee that I could take back to my room and finish. I definitely recommend this place and I will be sure to come back next time I'm in town. Thumbs up :) read more

Way more than just plain old hotel food. We had an exceptional late meal with wahoo and pompano. Was totally surprised at the flavors and how well it everything was prepared. I will no longer judge a hotel restaurant for being a hotel restaurant. read more

Their breakfast is delicious, their lunch and dinner is not that bad. It is a bit pricey for the food and drinks. We stayed at the Marriott and there really isn't much places to eat so I guess this beats most of the places by there. read more

This place didnt seem that exciting, but the first two dishes we had, rock shrimp in shirachi sauce and the tuna tartar was so good that we came back and ate it two more times! More people should come here. Never crowed, great customer service, and again..,. We loves the two dishes we had. Pass on chicken fingers and chicken sandwhich. Stayed at the Marriott for 3 days had several meals at McCoy's. Food was awesome service was excellent. Would definitely recommend.

The food was attractively served--especially the beautiful drinks. I had called ahead to see if they had fried green tomatoes because they are listed on the Yelp menu and I wanted to make sure. The fried green tomatoes were what lured us to the restaurant. The first person did not understand my question, so she graciously gave the phone to someone who understood my question and who checked the kitchen to find out. I was told that they had them. When we got to the restaurant, I had to again ask because they were not listed on the menu. The waitress checked and said yes, When I got them they were good, but not as listed. They were like tomato caprese basil - with both red and fried green tomatoes and Worcestershire sauce and goat cheese. My sangria was quite attractive with lemons, raspberries, and blue berries. My husband had a club sandwich and a fancy marguerite, Everything was priced out at $14--even though the price of the fried green tomatoes were shown to be a bit cheaper. 10.00 for evening and 11.00 for lunch, I believe. The waitress was nice and willing to please. We got a good view of the pool and ocean area. It was a nice $70 lunch with tax and tip. read more

Went there for Christmas Day Dinner as recommended by a food blogger Nicole Danna who obviously gets free hotel nights stays here because what they had to offer can't make them one of the top 10 restaurants to dine at. They had two main course entrees of ham or beef tip only. Decent number of side items to complement the dishes but they were all old and the fish did not taste or smell right. Desert table was very minimal and bare. The pictures that show you eat along the view of the ocean are incorrect. They do have a few tables along the pool side but you do not get a view of the ocean.
