Cool hipster-y/college-y pizza place! Buzzing with young locals, this pizza spot is happening when you have no idea where to go to get a bite to eat the night before your best friends sister's wedding (me). My group of about 6 friends were literally walking around one late night trying to figure out where to eat. We were all starving and someone in the group suggested &Pizza. I had never heard of it, let alone been there before. It was in a pretty chill, yet busy part of Mount Vernon. The line to this place was out the door! I didn't know what to anticipate, but I was excited for the unknown. We finally got inside and it took me a little bit to decide what I wanted. I settled on the moonstruck pizza- mushrooms with truffle oil, and sautéed onions. I added sausage because, why not?! As I waited , I looked around and took my surroundings in. The place is not huge at all- some long tables pushed together is what it was. Be prepared to make some new friends, lol. The pizza was made fairly fast & it looked absolutely amazing as it came rolling through the automatic roller toaster (I should probably trademark that name, lol.) Anyhoo, we all found room at a table (surprisingly- it was quite crowded that night.) I opened the cute rectangle box and bestowed my eyes on a beautiful thin crust pizza pie. The thing was quite delicious. I mean, I ate the whole thing. Some of my friends had left overs, but I totally indulged and went for the gusto. This place is lit! Leave Rope Walk a little bit before closing to not get stuck in the lengthy lines on your night out. The pizzas are hot and fresh. I advise you to ask for extra cheese because there's no charge and gives you that extra bit of slimy goo when you pull out that first slice. They have a wide variety of ingredients from their base sauces to their toppings. The servers are very generous with the helpings and are surprisingly kind for a 2am shift. Maybe I'm excited (or overwhelmed) that I can craft my own pizza. So the pie was awesome and like a slightly larger flatbread. I'm a sucker for gourmet toppings and gourmet style pizza. Figured I'd give this place a shot because I'd never heard of it and read some good reviews online. I live nearby and it was an easy walk to go get my pickup order. I ordered the Maverick and was not disappointed. The crust was the perfect thickness and crispyness. The sauce was great, but I wish they had put a little more cheese on it (the pesto sauce drizzle was a nice twist). They also have around six signature sodas and I tried the root beer one. Been loving this location for a long time and being where it is I also have pretty hilarious stories of being here late at night on the weekends and seeing how busy it can get. My favorite pizza has been the Pineapple Jack for the longest time as I love to mix a little bit of the salty and spicy with sweet. &Pizza is always coming up with new ideas for pies though and then you can always make whatever pizza you want with any of the toppings so adds another layer of goodness there. I couldn't ask for more from a pizza spot and I'm very happy to tell my friends that live out of state that yes this is a chain restaurant, but it's a DMV chain restaurant. So, if they want to try, they have to come my neck of the woods. Hopefully, it stays that way. Almost like our version of California's In-N-Out Burger...haha. Incredibly disappointed with this place. I thought I found a reliable place in Baltimore for pizza, but after what happened the other night, I can't recommend this place to anyone. I went here with some friends. All of us received our pizza reasonably quickly, except for one friend. For whatever reason, they forgot to make the second of two pizzas he ordered. Mistakes happen and can be forgiven. However, things escalated quickly. He noticed that they continued to give out the same orders to people who arrived well after him. Understandably, he began complaining because at this point he had already paid and was waiting for probably over a half hour at the register. The business has a security guard, and he noticed the arguing between my friend and the cashier and stepped in. My friend, still visibly upset, told the guard he had been waiting forever for his food. I was seated the whole time watching things unfold. When I saw the guard approach my friend, I got up and approached them to de-escalate the situation. But it was too late. The guard grabbed my friend by the inside of the collar and pushed him outside their business. No one had seen this coming, including my friend. He was launched a considerable distance and landed aggressively on the sidewalk. Already outside the business, and picking himself up off the sidewalk, the guard pushed him down again while he was halfway through getting up. You could argue that removing my friend from the business might be fair. I would disagree, but it's an argument. However, doing what that guard did to him when he was already outside the business was as clear as night and day, it was assault. I was eventually able to get between the two before much else happened. I told the guard to at least let me grab my friends pizza that he paid, which had just been completed at the tail end of events. The guard said he didn't pay for the pizza yet. My friend screamed that he did. This more than anything proves the guard was in the wrong. He was completely oblivious to the situation. Shoot first, ask questions later. Once he learned that they had been paid for, you could read the ignorance on his face. I went back inside, grab my friends orders, and we left. Having read through others' reviews, waiting a while for food is not unheard of. If complaining about service is met with being assaulted, find yourself another restaurant. My friend could have been seriously injured, but luckily he wasn't. &pizza, for the sake of your business, replace that guard and train your staff to better deal with these situations. read more

You can build your own pizza, or you can choose from one of their menu selections. The OG is a classic mozarella and basil pizza, and it shines. The Gnarlic also works well, with a strong roast garlic flavor couple with creamy ricotta. The Maverick falls short of that, as the quality of meats they are using is not at the same level as their cheeses. But the Elvis pizza with peanut butter, banana, and bacon is novel. Maybe not the thing to have on your own but fun to share. The restaurant likes to talk up their house made sodas, but sweet drinks are not really my thing, and even the ginger ale (which offers a chance to be more than just sugary) did not deliver. This place is amazing!! First they have 3 different types of dough.. Gluten free, wheat, and regular. I got the gluten free because they were out of wheat for the free pizza day. It tasted great! They warned me that it was a little smaller than their normal pizzas but it was free so I didn't care! They also have like 5 different types of sauce, I got a mix between spicy and regular marinara. I went on the first day they opened where they were giving free pizza for everyone, which was ridiculous. I went towards the end when they were closing, and I'm sure they were all exhausted, but they had great service and were extremely helpful. They also have great marketing, I've seen their jeeps, beach balls and signs everywhere! The concept is great... Pick as many toppings as you want... And don't feel bad asking for more of anything!
