Wowwwww this was the best Indian food I've ever had. Very flavorful and truly authentic. I even learned about the history of my dish while talking to my server. They have only been open a few months, and it's apparent that this fresh business is dedicated to success and pleasing their customers with the highest quality food & service. The Navrattan Korma actually had 9 different vegetables, individually cooked to precise consistencies, all swimming in an incredibly creamy cashew sauce flavored to perfection. Yummmmmmm My boyfriend got the channa masala. He said it was good, but not a strong enough tomato sauce flavor as he would prefer. It was also very creamy. The garlic naan and onion kulcha naan were super yummy, with a great balance of fluffiness & crisp. We also ordered the spinach pakoras, wooooowwwwww. Wow. Wow. Wow. Delicious. Came for the lunch buffet and the food was amazing! They offer two mimosas per person but beware it is only juice I don't think there was any alcohol in them. I drank my husbands as well and there was no carbonation or any indication there was champagne in them. It always bothers me when places offer alcoholic drinks yet no alcohol in them. read more

I came here on whim for a brunch buffet and it was so effing bomb! The price was $21/person and they had a pretty wide variety of vegetarian and meat options. They even had complementary Prosecco and fresh pressed watermelon and cantaloupe juice. The decor and atmosphere was pretty, clean, and inviting. We dined at Andaaz last night in a large group of 11 - excellent experience all around. The decor is very nice, slightly up scale. Very diverse menu, with a full range for each dish of spicy to mild on a 4 point scale. Nice wine, beer, cocktail list. Our waiter was just exceptional - attentive, engaging, helpful. One of our diners noted while reading the menu that she had a medical condition and worried about high salt content. The waiter heard that and offered to ensure her specific concerns were met, which they were. We very much enjoyed everything and found the prices most reasonable. Looking forward to returning for lunch to try thier buffet. A new restaurant, off to a very solid start. read more

Andaaz lost one star because 1) Naan on buffet was droopy, tough and very disappointing and 2) refused to provide a plain lassi, explaining that mango lassi was pre-prepared in batch at opening and no other form of lassi could be prepared. Otherwise, the dishes on the buffet were well prepared (if a touch monotonous, all chicken in several forms). We went to Andaaz at Saturday lunch ($19.95) which included an acceptable mimosa (orange or watermelon). A number of sauces, including raita, mint tamarind, mango chutney, others) were offered on the buffet. Service was formal and dispassionate, landed pretty cold for us. If you want Indian cuisine, there are several locations in town, Andaaz is not the best nor the worst. read more

This is one of our top favorite places after living in Asheville for the past year. We were so excited after they started offering take out. I will say their take out wait times if you order directly through their website are a bit long. I ordered on a Tuesday night and it was a 60 min wait. The last time I ordered on a Saturday it was 75 min and I waited an additional 20 min after arriving. That night they were extremely busy so I didn't let it bother me. The food is amazing, we love the chicken tikka masala. The spice level is always a bit different depending on who is in the kitchen but the medium is always very tasty even for someone who does not like heat. I highly recommend adding a side of rice and regular naan! My only complaint would be the staff attentiveness is a bit lacking. I've ordered to go 5 times now in the past two months and every time there is never a host and I always wait several minutes to be acknowledged. I assume they are short staffed like every where else though! read more

Great new restaurant with beautiful decor and friendly staff who knew the menu well. Don't be turned off that they offer a buffet, the quality is great and dinner was just off of the menu. This is my new Indian buffet in town. I could eat the chili chicken everyday of my life. We went here gor our family Christmas Eve lunch and I smiled the entire time. The staff is great, the food is good, the sauces are on point. The only issue I had was that they were playing the 2001 Gorillaz album while we ate. It made it just a little weird. read more
