I asked for lunch entree spicy thai basil (prepared w/o coconut milk) to be as spicy as possible, and it was not spicy at all. The sauce was really bland and they didn't even use fresh chili peppers to cook it in, it tasted like the not so hot relish chili pepper sauce you see on the table at some Thai restaurants. By circumstance my dad met one of the owners of Andaman Thai Cuisine on Thursday while waiting to pick up my nephew. Being a lover of Thai foods, they talked about the food. As a family, we decided to give this place in Framingham a try. The restaurant across route 9 from Framingham state University is small and can only accommodate small parties, but to my dad'ssurprise has some of the best food he has ever enjoyed. My sister loved the bubble tea drinks, my nephew enjoyed his meal. My crispy chicken pad Thai was delightful, paired perfectly with my Thai iced tea. Capped off the event with delicious Mango sweet sticky rice. I highly recommend giving this place a try. read more

Andaman is my go to Thai Place when I'm in the Framingham Area. The food is authentic and fresh, the servers are attentive and always willing to accommodate my picky eating kids. I just drove by this morning and had a good feeling. I don't know how long it's been there, just down the street from me and I had no idea it was there. I ordered the fresh spring rolls and green curry with veggies and eggplant and bamboo shoots for take out. The rolls were perfect, shrimp and basil. I prefer my sauce a little less sweet but it was still great. The curry was spicy and warm and amazingly good. I will be eating here often. read more

I'm so glad I found this place. It is so good!!! The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because the food came out warm and not hot. Otherwise it tasted great. I always like my Thai food extra spicy and they got that spice level perfectly. Another plus is that they are so affordable. It isn't ideal for a date or having a big family lunch or dinner because of the space but its worth it for the food. Also the bubble teas are delicious. Small local Thai gem that has the best chicken massaman curry!! The fresh wraps need to be a little more tightly wrapped so they do not fall apart. Pad Thai is yummy. Flavors are fresh and bright. I do not have a car available so I wanted delivery. Their website directed me to ChubHub and I placed my order, with a 10% tip. One hour later, I called Andaman and they informed me that ChubHub had not picked up my order. Andaman said they would call them and find out what happened. Andaman called me back and said that ChubHub would not call them back. So, Andaman had one of their employees drive to my home with my $40 order. Very nice people ! And then, the food was excellent ! This is a pretty good Thai restaurant and a great addition to that area of Framingham. We had take out and the ordering process went smoothly and the staff was friendly. It is a pretty small place and I'm not sure I would eat in but there is certainly nothing wrong with it - maybe just a bit informal for Dine In. Our food was great - the Pad Thai was right up there. It is a bit on the expensive side for take out although right on for a Dine In experience. I didn't like the Fried Rice but it really was personal preference. It was obviously fresh and light so no complaints there. I would definitely suggest trying it out and supporting this mom and pop Thai location. read more

I just made a Yelp account for the sole reason to give this place the praise it deserves. It is truly special. I live 3 miles from this place and have been meaning to try it for a while and I finally did tonight. I can't even express how wonderful it is. I got takeout and my call was taken so friendly and efficiently. I love spicy food and ordinarily I'd order the spiciest option, but tonight I chose the second hottest option because I wanted to get to know what the food tasted like from Andaman without blasting my mouth with spiciness. The food came out right on time when I came in to pick it up; and the women working were as friendly and efficient as could be. The food kept hot during my 15 minute ride home. When I got to eating, the food blew me away. I got a simple Green Curry with Chicken, and it was better than any Thai food I've ever had. So savory. The level of spiciness I ordered (2nd hottest of 5 levels) was exactly what I expected. Veggies cooked to the perfect texture. The spices and basil are fresh and jump around your mouth like crazy. As a manager of a restaurant in the same town myself, this place is really, really impressive. It's rare that a newer place like this in such a small place is executing at such a high level. We are happy to have a new choice for Thai cuisine in the area! Did a take out order this evening. Ordering by phone was fine, food was ready when I arrived as promised. The restaurant is small, but very clean and nicely appointed. I would definitely dine in at some future date. We ordered Tofu with Red Curry, Vegetarian Pad Thai and Vegetarian Pad See You. All were delicious. The Pad Thai was decent sized and not dry like some Pad Thai. The Pad See You was very good, highly recommend. The tofu with curry was very good also, not too spicy, in fact, could be a little spicier. Our only criticism was that the dish was pretty small for the price and did not have very many vegetable in it as described. Double the amount of vegetables and the dish would be perfect. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is the prices are a bit high for the portion sizes. Other than that, the food was delicious and tasted fresh and the service was prompt and polite. I ordered the pineapple fried rice with shrimp and pad see you with chicken for takeout. The pineapple fried rice is the best fried rice I've had in a long time. It was perfect and had a great flavor. Not sure what the other person was referring to about the noodles. Vermicelli looks white. There's also glass noodles which are clear. We've ordered take out from here several times and it is outstanding! We've had the chicken satay, veggie pad thai with tofu, chicken masaman, chicken cashew and Andaman soup. Flavors are addictive and beyond most thai restaurants. The chicken cashew is not your typical brown sauce but layered with an unexpected chili paste. The Andaman soup is packed with flavor and the dumplings are light and perfect. Top it off with super friendly service.
