They sold me a 2023 truck Blue Certified that had a leaking front differential. Covered by a warranty so I brought it to my local Ford dealer. They found the wheel bearings were bad, needed an oil change, engine air filter was bad, control arm (I checked myself with on 48,000 miles on it, YES they weren't lying), after market lift, after market skid plate, which wouldn't have meant it was blue certified. I called and they said they had a bad technician. They refused to pay any of the bills for what should have been fixed under blue certification, and now won't answer the phone. My experience at Anderson and Koch Ford was probably the worst I've had at a dealership. I'd like to preface this by saying I'm not mechanically inclined, but I can figure out my way around a motor and do some things myself. Initially, I had to have a motor replaced on my vehicle because I had coolant intrusion into cylinder 4 (after double checking with a bore scope) to which I went through a local mechanic who outsourced the job to Anderson and Koch. ~$8,000 out the door. Fine. Within 6,000 miles of the remanufactured long block being installed, I started to have overheating issues again when the vehicle was under load (harder acceleration). I brought the vehicle to the local mechanic I had used prior thinking that it may have been a leak and thus replaced the water pump and thermostat/thermostat housing. I still had the issue. I then brought it back and said mechanic who had it for about 3 days before calling me and suggesting that it had to be something with the motor. He had it dropped off at Anderson and Koch Ford to (I assume have them replace the motor since it was under warranty). After about two and a half weeks, I get a call from Doug, who works as the service manager, asking what was done to the motor and what the symptoms were to which I specified that it was overheating under load and that I had replaced the water pump and thermostat. Within 3 hours, I'm told it's a radiator and that should solve the issue. Not what I wanted, but after dealing with two different people, someone was yanking my chain about the problem and I didn't know exactly who to go off of. It was then I asked questions to Doug a little bit about the situation and he just stated that one coolant lines wasn't receiving a heat signature. I knew that was a bit odd because my prior mechanic had 3 days with my vehicle and never specified anything of the sort let alone, I utilized the proper coolant for the block and the vehicle would maintain a temp (more or less) under normal operating conditions (without too much load), so I assumed I was having coolant flow, but as stated prior, I had two opinions and I didn't know who was pulling my leg, so I went through with the radiator replacement. Moving forward, I get a call later on specifying that that wasn't the problem and that they still had overheating issues to which I had to have another long block installed and it would be a while because the block was on backorder. Alright, no problem, wahtever. This helped solidify that it wasn't the radiator because if the radiator was the issue, why is there a need to have to replace the motor again? Upon arrival to pick up my vehicle once it was completed, I test drove it to make sure that it wasn't going to overheat and double check for leaks because I couldn't trust them because, in my opinion, they weren't being honest with the radiator replacement. I then proceeded to question Doug about the radiator and asking him why I should have to pay for something that wasn't the issue in the first place especially if the motor had to be replaced with another long block and I was given two variants of indirect answers such as "it could have been a problem" pertaining to the radiator. I also asked Doug why he didn't contact the prior mechanic and ask him questions as it would've taken 5 minutes and they had roughly two plus weeks to even get ahold of said mechanic before even beginning the work on my vehicle. I still didn't receive a good answer and he still proceeded to answer my questions in a roundabout way providing no substantive answers to which I realized this wasn't going to go anywhere and there's no point to keep pressing him on the matter. Among other things, this experience has taught me that I cannot trust Anderson and Koch for having integrity when working on my vehicle(s) or customer's for that matter, (even if it is under warranty) without finding a way to "throw the proverbial parts cannon at a customer's vehicle and expecting them to foot the bill" even if it's not the problem and told "possibly" by Doug. I even contacted said mechanic afterwards and told him of the situation and he even expressed displeasure stating that it wasn't the radiator and it had to do with the motor and he would've stated as such to Doug. My experience at Anderson & Koch has been nothing short of awesome. I had a vehicle that was diagnosed with issues resulting in the need for an engine replacement. I had a warranty through Mopar on my Ford vehicle and the warranty company was terrible to deal with in every respect. It is one of the rare true family owned dealerships left so support that every chance you can. Mark Young and Tyler in the service department stuck with it and put in so much extra time in order to have the coverage from the warranty plan pay for the repairs. (Side note - be vary careful on the Mopar Vehicle Protection plan/warranty that is sold at Chrysler dealerships for any used vehicle they have as that company does nothing but delay, ignore and seems to be set up so as to not help you as a customer) read more

**NEVER take your vehicle for ANY type of service at Anderson Koch Ford in North Branch, MN!** What an absolute joke of a dealership this place is! Brought a 2008 Ford Focus here in October 2022 to see if there was any warranty coverage for the transmission (that was rebuilt here already in 2021 here) slipping a little bit. My dad was told they thought it was 1 specific part that was on backorder. 4 MONTHS later they said the part arrived and it was $700, somehow not covered under a year old warranty. They replaced the part and then said it did not fix the problem, stated they didn't want to go any deeper into the transmission, and that no warranty work was going to cover the issue. Let me say again, on a rebuilt transmission. In the mean time, the car sat there for so long the battery was dead, so we were charged $150 for a new battery. We asked them take the part out because if it didn't fix the vehicle, even after that's what they said it was, we didn't want to pay for it. They took it out and we were charged only for the battery. Went in to pay for said battery, then checked on the vehicle in the lot. Found it pulled into a snow bank so hard the front fender had popped off. And on top of that it was snowed in to the spot. We contacted them again, told them we wanted the fender fixed and the car pulled out so we could take it home. On 03/23/23 we went to pick up the vehicle and the car would not shift out of 1st gear. Had to limp it across the bridge and into the McDonald's parking lot, then attempted to back out of a spot to readjust and it then would not go into reverse. Called the service manager, Mark, and they said they would come get the vehicle and look into it. Phone call on 04/04/23 from Mark and they are now refusing to fix the reverse in the vehicle. Saying they didn't cause it, and when we asked how they backed it out of the shop multiple times he says, "I don't know maybe they pushed it." All was said by him is that they would refund for the battery and that we have to come pick up the car. This is absolutely ridiculous, there was absolutely no issue with the reverse when we brought the vehicle in, and what a shit show of a company to expect a customer to pay for their mess up. This experience will be shared everywhere possible, there will be a claim with the BBB/Attorney General and legal is being investigated. read more

Their service and parts departments have always taken good care of my needs and have always had a late model loaner when I needed one. Their certified electrical technician, Eric, has been exemplary. Even the most difficult issues are solved quickly and correctly. The parts department also performs with the customer in mind.
