Slim's group changed the ECU computer 3 times, and charged me 3 times at $1000 each time, no warranty on the computers that they installed, and I still had the same problem. I took it to another shop, explained the issue and the mechanic said I think I know what it is. $45 later and the car was working as expected. I went back to Slim's to tell that what it was and he called me a liar. Never again! Avoid this business like the plague they are.

They told me the pcm was not working. Their estimate was more than the value of the car. The same day I went to a different mechanic for a a second opinion. I stayed there because I wanted to see. They found out the gas cap was not closing. Then they open the trunk and found the gas valve unplugged. We were all shocked. They put it back in and the car is working fine now. The Vrooom guy told me they left the valve unplugged so it wouldn't cause any further issues. Scam!

It's just a small lobby w three chairs but it's all windows/doors so lots of light & see what's going on outside. Ciara is at the desk....and... what a peach is she!!! We talked my entire visit, sharing trauma stories...about cars, it made the time fly by. When I brought in my truck I asked that they check for a leak as someone said there was spots after I left. Much to my disappointment I was parked outside in WI in January during that freezing cold snap.... it cracked my oil filter housing... to the repair tune of $1400!!! She said in the roughly 11 weeks since it happened I'd lost 1.5 quarts of oil. So basically, nothing I want to delay getting fixed!! When you call, you have to leave a message and be called back. Most recently I brought my 2011 Kia Sportage in to have the rear brakes replaced. I picked up my car and went on my way. Well, some crazy sound developed and I brought it back. It turned out one of the calipers was defective so they replaced it in short time. I leave and am happy as a clam because I got my car back. I drove to work the next morning without issue. However, on the way home my car started making a horrible sound from the front. I called Cierra (who is an absolute lifesaver and amazing at her job) and she tells me to drop it off and she'll give me a loaner. This is a Thursday so the week is running out. Friday, I go to work and wait for their call. I finally get the call I've dreaded all day in the early afternoon. Cierra tells me they can't figure it out. All three have driven my car and tried to diagnose the problem and no one can. Cierra asks if it's okay to keep it over the weekend, which is fine. I wouldn't have wanted to drive it anyway. The weekend goes by and I go to work Monday morning. It's not until later afternoon when she calls and I'm thinking the worst. She explains everything that happened and the numerous hours spent on my car. They only replaced some clips that were holding my brake pads in place and said I could pick it up after work. I'm dreading what it will cost, as they spent hours trying to figure out what was wrong. When I arrive, I ask how much I owe them and they said nothing. This isn't even an issue they caused. Yet, they diagnosed and repaired it at no cost. That's a level of service that no longer exists. I was already a faithful customer but it's moments like this that keep me coming back. I will not entrust my vehicle to anyone else, and neither should you.
