After calling a few places for quotes, I reached out to Anderson Glass Co.--and I'm so glad I did. Leslie answered the phone and was incredibly kind and understanding. She immediately sensed my urgency and, unbeknownst to me, was already contacting one of their service technicians while we spoke. Before our call even ended, she had arranged for Dwayne to come out that same day to assess the damage and provide a quote. Within an hour, Dwayne and Cale arrived. They were friendly, professional, and extremely efficient. They explained that the repair would take about an hour--and to my surprise, their quote was less than half of what other companies had quoted me. Even better, they managed to free my 100-year-old window frame without causing any damage to the surrounding molding. To save time and cost, they took the window back to their shop for repair and returned the very next day to reinstall it. The result is flawless--my living room window looks and operates better than ever! I'm so impressed with the quality of their work and their outstanding customer service. I'll definitely be calling Anderson Glass Co. again when it's time to reglaze the rest of my old windows. I ordered a mirror to be cut from them and paid over the phone. They got it done quickly and called me to let me know it was ready. Life got the better of me, and I didn't have a chance to pick it up until 3 months later. When I called to confirm they still had it before going they said it had already been picked up the same week it was ordered. Well, eventually it seemed there was nothing I could do to convince them I'd never even been there, even though the day and time it was picked up I was doing something else entirely. I simply ordered and paid for another mirror from them. They made me pay full price a second time. This time I insisted I wouldn't pay until I picked up. The mirror seems good quality and they got it done quickly again. But having to pay twice left a sour taste in my mouth. I would certainly not choose Anderson Glass again. read more

The border around the window they installed came apart a few months later. I called and made an appointment for them to come fix it from 12-4pm today, I left home for exactly 30 minutes to pick my son up from school, called Anderson Glass ahead of time to let them know. Waited until 4pm, no one called or showed up. I called the office and was given the run around by some guy 'Max'? Telling me I should reschedule. So they expect me to take another day off work sit at home and wait for them, and then again maybe they'll show up and maybe they won't? Don't waste your time with this company, job should have been done right the first time around. I'm losing money waiting at home for them to fix their mistake. read more

My Mother was getting draft through her bedroom window, so we called Anderson Glass in Vancouver to give her an estimate on fixing the problem. Dwayne arrived in the designated window (no pun intended) and found there was "play" in the frame. My Mom had left her windows unlocked; so they didn't seal properly. Dwayne said he couldn't take our money as he solved the problem with integrity and honesty! My Mom and I really appreciate Dwayne making a trip to Washougal and taking the time with us. Years ago I worked for 3 different window companies so I have a little experience working with glass. I had a broken IG unit is one of my windows and I took it to a local window joint in Portland and the quickest replacement would be 3 weeks out. They threw out the Anderson Glass recommendation and I'm glad they did. I walked in around noon with a broken unit in a single hung and it was fixed three hours later. She did mention that there was a guy in the shop and the glass was not tempered, tinted or have grids so that made the fix on the quicker side. The price was fair, the service was awesome and the staff was wonderful. I would give this place 6 stars if I could. read more

They were professional, quick and great to deal with. I had a large window with a broken seal, and had tried to get a contractor to replace it during COVID. The only quotes I could get were ridiculous. Anderson gave me a much better quote, and obviously knew exactly what they were doing. Had multiple glass window panels reglazed /replaced by Anderson 3 years ago. They started failing after the 2nd year. I did ask them if they should last longer than a year, she said definitely, they should. I do not suggest having Anderson window repair your double pane windows or reglaze them. Also the plastic trim pieces are coming off all the windows they replaced. Not a big deal as that it's cosmetic and they were used but just goes to show the overall job was shoddy as they barely lasted two years before their glazing broke and the windows became discolored and full of moisture. I can glue the plastic on, but instead I recommend buying a new window from discount window (cascade) which are made in Oregon and have a lifetime warranty to the original purchaser. It's $180 to replace a 5x3 window. Thats the same as what I paid Anderson to fix the old one. read more

I want to "Thank You" Anderson Glass for repairing my Grandmother's hand mirror. They were very nice about it and had it done in one day. The work was excellent. We had gone to another popular Glass Co. in Orchards and the person we talked to there was so rude and not helpful at all. He told us they could not work on something like the hand mirror and he couldn't figure out how to get the mirror (was just simple latch) out of the frame. when I asked him if he knew of any other places he responded in a rude voice "no"...also the guy needs to clean his finger nails! I had a small job. It was cut incorrectly and I sent it back to be recut. I received it back with a big mark in the center. A finger took etching material and swiped across the center of the glass. It was literally a middle finger to me. Not a mistake. And if it was a mistake than their QA is really bad. I think if a company has such little integrity for the small jobs they probably don't have any for the larger jobs. It's never good when money comes before the customers. read more

I wouldn't recommend this business to anyone. Poor customer service. They were given a simple task and they ruined an antique that us now worthless. They threw away pieces to the harness that cant be replaced. First they installed the glass incorrectly, plus it was plastic. They had the nerve to laugh at us and then told us to get out of their store, when they were at fault. They treated my elderly aunt like she was stupid, and they took advantage of her. If you weren't up to the task, you shouldnt have taken the job. Very poor quality service. read more

One let down after another... I called Anderson about a broken patio window, and they said they could fix it. They sent someone out two days later to measure it. We then had to wait two weeks for them to come back to install it....which they canceled late that day. Then they rescheduled for a week later..... which they also canceled because the glass had broke on the truck.... Then they rescheduled for two weeks later. They claimed that they showed up and no one was home, which was not tru. The house was full of people. No one knocked or rang the doorbell. Then they rescheduled for two days later... It turns out that they didn't measure the glass correctly for a standard-sized patio door. At that point, I told them I wanted my money back, and that seemed to be the one painless part of this whole endeavor. They may not be good at installing glass, but they are very efficient at refunding money read more

We had an unfortunate break-in and needed a patio door replaced asap. This incident left me feeling uneasy with Just a piece of plywood securing my residence. I was able to obtain a quick bid and after the glass arrived the following week, they worked very hard to get me scheduled the next day. Max worked with the installers and was able to make the repair happen even when they had a full schedule. I am very grateful for their work, empathy and professionalism. Bought a huge mirror to have cut and installed. Workers showed up about a week later to make a template. Was told mirror was at the shop and needed a field person to cut it Call back a week later and they stated had to ship mirror off to have it cut, and it was send on Friday. They had mirror and template according to a staff member for almost two weeks. Now i have to wait another 7 to 10 business days. I asked to talk to manager and they stated he was out for lunch, this was 2PM in the afternoon. Also see the below email I got from the company "My installer says he is needing to come out and make a pattern so we get the correct cut on your mirror if you want to proceed with the job. Please let us know if you want to proceed." Note, i already payed for the mirror and the person wanted to know IF I wanted to proceed. Will up date once, IF a manager calls me back.. read more

I owe Leslie, at Anderson Windows on Fourth Plain in Vancouver, a big round of applause and a huge thank you for solving a small but irritating problem. Leslie was able to find a perfect match for a broken crank handle. Luckily, I have another window with the same type of handle, but there was no identifying mark on it, or the window. I had no idea how many style variations there are! It took a couple of dry run trials, but the handle she ordered for me is an exact match to the one I have. Brought in many huge mirrors to have cut to size and edges ground for a work-out room. Helpful employees came right out and unloaded all the glass -which we appreciated. Since we dropped the glass off before a holiday weekend it would be another trip to pick up the order. No problem there. Order write up was fast & efficient as was the quote. Mirrors looked great at pick up, sizing was perfect, edges ground better than the original factory ground edges and the price was very very reasonable. Anderson Glass just finished our steam shower custom door. The installers, Justin and Sean, were wonderful to work with as were the staff in the office. Everyone was very responsive and kept us informed on the progress of the job. The shower door turned out wonderful. It was a custom/complicated job and the guys made sure it fit perfect. They also installed glass doors for a wine enclosure and they look terrific. They paid attention to tiny details so the finished products looked fantastic. I'd recommend them to anyone. read more

Went to location a week ago. Audrey was helpful with initial estimates. We asked for an estimate for a shower enclosure and she told us $700-$800 but she needed to check with the person who does showers. Went back the following Tuesday and spoke to Josh. He told us how professional Anderson Glass was and the quick turn around. Josh showed us a shower enclosure and told us it would be approximately $800 installed. I called Wednesday and Josh said he was busy and had not had a chance to call for exact pricing. I called Thursday and left a message and received no return phone call. I called Friday and Josh said he was just getting ready to call me. He gave me a quote for the shower enclosure of approximately $1200 plus $300 (almost double the initial quote). He said it was because of the satin nickel versus chrome and the rain glass. We did not pick satin nickel and rain glass that is what Josh showed us and told us the price of $800 installed. I had previously told Josh this was for rental property and I wanted the least expensive. Josh then said he would check to see if he could do chrome and clear glass for $800. He called back to say the $800 shower enclosure was possible plus an additional $300 for install. Both Audrey and Josh had previously estimated $800 to include the install. Went to Vancouver Glass where I am paying $885 for the shower enclosure versus $1100 at Anderson. It shouldn't take two visits and three phone calls to get a price quote. Thank you Anderson Glass for seeing my need over the past 24 hours. My German shepherd dog decided to pounce through my large front, single paned window to play with a cat right outside. Although she didn't get out and no injuries it was unsettling to having only cardboard duck taped to the window frame. I called Anderson and they were booked until Friday - two days away. I scheduled for Friday morning but knowing my need and feeling vulnerable both in my house and away they were able to come out and measure and replace my front window by 2pm on Thursday. The window pane looks great and I feel secure knowing I can leave my house with more than just some cardboard as a barrier to enter my home. I called to get a quote for 5 panes of glass for kitchen cabinet doors. I went over the dimensions of the 5 twice and told them I wanted 1/8" thick clear glass, no rounded corners. I was quoted $84.50 which the woman I spoke with said included tax. My husband went into Anderson Glass the next day to place the order and was told the price would be around $170.00. He obviously questioned this and explained that I (his wife) had called and gotten quote for the $84.50 but the woman said there was no way the quote would have been that low (essentially calling me a liar). So "I" called her and she was defensive and would not admit she made a mistake. She said she would not have quoted such a low price for 5 panes. My husband then went to Glass Doctor of Vancouver on Hwy 99 and was treated wonderfully. We purchased the glass from them and they even rounded the corners...all for just over $86.00 including tax! My husband then called Anderson Glass back and told them the price we got the glass for and they admitted to him that they know their prices are "a little high" but then went on to basically say that maybe "whoever measured the glass didn't know how to use a tape measure"!!! Boy did THAT IRRITATE ME! Needless to say we will NEVER use Anderson Glass again and will certainly let everyone we know what our experience was and that we would NOT recommend them!!! read more
