I have chosen this place because it was farm-to-table / seasonal ingredients. Beautiful building , interior and a very pleasant ambiance. Good lighting added to the calm atmosphere. Quiet music was refreshing since many restaurants have too loud music. (would give 5stars for this) Service was just ok. Not very attentive. Gone when needed. Food was good - portions were perfect. We had a delightful dinner here. Antony was excellent and the food was delicious. Polenta was crispy on the outside soft center with delicious sauce! Antony, our server was exactly what a good waiter should be. He was prompt, knowledgeable and pleasant. The Caesar salad had the perfect amount of dressing. The lasagna bolognese was not heavy with cheese and had the perfect amount of meats and sauce the spinach was a nice touch. Have eaten at this place for years - the food is consistently good. Had New Year's eve dinner here last week and was disappointed in a couple of things. First...once we were seated it took about 20 minutes for someone to approach our table. We ordered some wine and the very snooty waiter gave one of us a really dirty glass (lipstick on the rim, food crust on the outside), when we asked him for another one, he rolled his eyes and walked away. He came back with a new glass but didn't say a word. He was like this the entire meal - rude, snooty, unfriendly - a total a-hole basically. First and second courses were fantastic, dessert was very disappointing. By the time our dessert came out, we were one of the last 2 tables in the restaurant, so it was very quiet, lots of staff sitting down waiting for us to leave. My dessert came out so cold (warm apple crisp a la mode) and everyone else had the same issue. After a great meal, it was disappointing to have a half-ass dessert and lots of staff lingering waiting for us to leave. We had a 9pm reservation, which they accepted. Although we had a nice night, there was nothing festive about spending New Year's eve at this place. Lovely restaurant, but a bad waiter. Great food - lousy service attitude. Five of us had dinner here 2 nights ago & the food was excellent. The linguini with clams, chicken parmigiana, pasta with shrimp, spaghetti with meatballs were all delicious. Ambiance was great - if only our server really wanted to be there... We had to ask for bread, after being served drinks. When dinner was served, we had to ask for fresh parmesan - then when a small cup arrived the size of a fast food condiment cup, (possibly enough for one pasta dish) and we asked for more (politely) - we got a sigh, and a "Sure". We definitely were asking for too much, in her opinion. They were quickly deposited on the table. The only pass we had from her during the entire dinner was a fleeting "run by" asking, "How are your dinners?" No one had a chance to answer as she was already halfway to the kitchen. We all looked at each other wondering what just happened. She did arrive in a timely fashion with the check, which included a 20% gratuity (you've GOT to be kidding) and an additional line for "Additional Gratuity". Must be a new policy for a party of five. The service was worth 10% at best & we're usually very generous tippers, when the service is good. We've eaten here before and always enjoyed the food. This was my first visit to Andiamo! for dinner. The anti-pasto appetizer was delicious and had a unique flavor that was truly remarkable. I ordered the rigatoni with pancetta. It was tasty but a little on the bland side with a lack of garlic flavor. My friend, who is from London, ordered the linguini puttanesca with shrimp. The dish had numerous large chunks of garlic in the dish and he had to fish them out. He was disappointed with it. Minced garlic is, in my opinion, a much better way to prepare food without surprising a customer with large bites of bitter garlic. The chocolate pot de crepe was sensational and was a lovely way to end the dinner. read more

We came in for our anniversary and sat on the patio. The pasta dishes we had were fantastic. Lamb sausage was amazing. The chocolate mouse though had a weird texture and was warm. Overall the food was really good. Server was a little awkward and the place could use some music outdoors though. read more

Oh my! Deliciousness! I had the tuna puttanesca and my mouth was just watering! The portions are large. We, of course, did curbside but the food was packaged and presented beautifully, we were given cloth napkins and real silverware (which we will return!). Nice touch. I loved my lunch today, and my companions loved their dishes, too. This quaint little restaurant is truly charming. Quiet, cheery and attentive service. I had the pasta primavera, which is honestly the most delicious version I've ever enjoyed. Not only did the primavera have a great selection of vegetables (onion, bell pepper, yellow squash, zucchini, and carrots), but the light, zesty sauce was really delicious. The panini sandwiches ordered by my friends were also tasty. Very large portions, too. We'll be back to this reasonably priced restaurant. I would have given a fifth star but the first time we ate here, every single time one of the waiters walked by the floor shook. Combination of fast, heavy footed steps and old floors. We had such a great meal (and wine!) here. We're in town for a night and are a little over Mexican food since we've had so much this trip. Man was this place a nice change of pace. On a Wednesday night at 7:10 pm the place was nearly empty. We asked for a table for three and the guy at the host stand very smugly just waved his hand motioning for us to just seat ourselves. We wandered around a bit looking (and almost left, as it gave a bad vibe). We sat down (very uncomfortable/cheap chairs) and the same awkward guy (Juan) quickly arrived at the table with his pen and the pad in hand all ready to go -- "Do you know what you want?". We let him know it would be a few minutes but that we'd have some mineral water and 2 beers (they only serve wine/beer). He arrived back saying they were "out" of Peroni. Fine, so we had a Chezc beer. He came 3 more times abruptly/awkwardly asking to take our order (offering no specials, no bread, just "what do you want"). The menu was VERY limited and the meals that arrived and were almost cold and rather unedible! Pretty bad! Of course, Juan is now nowhere to be found. I had to flag him down for fresh pepper for my Caesar Salad-- then no picking up the plates not offering desert-- just a check dropped off by some woman. When I asked about a dessert she said: "Sorry, kitchen is now closed". What?? We did leave a 15% tip, as we find it hard to stiff anyone, but this Juan waiter didn't earn a penny. If I hadn't been there I know my husband wouldn't have left him a dime. We've only been here 3 times in 7 yrs-- it gets worse and worse each time. How is this place even still around? A celebrity was seated at the table across from us. I felt bad (even embarrassed for Santa Fe) as I'm sure her friends likely brought her as their guest. I hope she knows we DO actually have good food in SF, just not here at this place. The little old crunchy adobe house is adorable and all, but you GOTTA have more to run on than just that! read more

What has happened to my favorite restaurant in Santa Fe?!?! It has been going downhill for some time now, but I was unwilling to give up on it. I've been back four times since it started sliding, each time hoping that my previous experiences were anomalies. Well I guess not. While I still like the food, the service is pretty bad. Also, they used to serve bread and olive oil with each meal, but no more. One has to ask for it and is charged for it! How crazy is that for an Italian restaurant?! The same with Parmesan cheese. It's really sad. The last time, we waited 20 minutes to get our simple meal. It seems to me that they've had plenty of time to get their act together, so they just must not care. This is how great restaurants fail. Doesn't the owner or manager read yelp reviews? Or even have their own standards of excellence? I guess not. read more

We arrived early for our reservation, and were seated at a table for one at an awkward angle, where the wall was up against my right arm (I'm right handed) and my husband was sitting at an angle in the aisle. After ordering sparkling water and declining wine, we weren't asked about a drink order, so we ran out of water after the salad. Bread was considered a paid appetizer. I've never been in an Italian restaurant anywhere that didn't serve complimentary bread! Our salads were delivered and we had to point out that I didn't have a napkin or silverware...it's hard to eat a salad without a fork! Our waiter, Juan, who turned out to be the head waiter, completely ignored us. We finally asked for the manager, and service improved to the level received by the other tables. We went to Santa Fe on Sunday for late Valentines celebration and where able to get a reservation last minute we called at 6pm and where able to make it for 6:45pm which was awesome and when we got there we got sat pretty quickly it was busy so we had to wait about 10-15 minutes which was fine. Both my Boyfriend and I ordered the Rissoto dish it was so delicious and the drinks where so good I Highly Recommend this place it was very romantic and I love that the waiters also have an Italian accent it makes the place very elegant just like and Italian restaurant should be:) read more

Not a great customer service experience tonight at Andiamo! We had reservations for 7:15 pm, and arrived at 7:05. Was told we would have a 10 min wait which is understandable. We waited for 25 minutes in an area with no space to wait. No other groups were seated while we waited. After 25 minutes, I waited for several more minutes at the hostess stand to tell them to cancel my reservation, but couldn't find anyone to tell we were leaving. In short they seemed overwhelmed with the crowd on a Tuesday night. They shouldn't accept reservations if they cannot seat you in a reasonable amount of time...also I spoke nor saw any staff the whole wait time. read more

We had a nice dinner at Andiamo. The atmosphere was quaint and the service was prompt and friendly. Unfortunately the shortage of stars is food related. While the calamari was very good, the ribeye was thin, tough and overcooked. In spite of that, it had a pretty good flavor. Wish I could say more positive things and will give it another shot next time in town. That is what you get when you order a steak at an Italian food restaurant. read more

We first met over the phone by a lovely woman taking reservations, then when we got there, were immediately seated by sweet and friendly server Antonio, and had water, wine and DELICIOUS bread and butter/OO within 5 min. The parmesan polenta was heavenly, followed by vegetarian pasta dishes--ravioli and mushroom fettuccini, both delicious. The wine was great and a very decent serving vs. everywhere else we went in SF, all of which were chintzy and overpriced! As we waited for the check, Antonio brought us complimentary profiteroles! OMG, so delicious! Such a wonderful evening, and also, the restaurant is GORGEOUS!!! The food here is okay. Seems like they the same spice in all the food. Everything tasted like smoked ham. Very strong smoked ham flavor in four different dishes, chicken, pasta, beef dishes. The food was okay and tasted interesting but that smokey taste was too much. The ambiance: claustrophobic. Tables are like 18" apart and the place is packed and crowded, you are literally rubbing elbows with diners at the adjacent table. Also dinner took forever to come out. The place was packed so I give them a break but with all the entrees having the same Andiamo signature flavor, I was disappointed. Overall it was okay but I won't be coming back. read more

This is our favorite Italian restaurant in Santa Fe. We used to live here, but now go when we return. The Spaghetti Bolognese is to die for, but also love the clams and linguine, the chicken parm, and many others. Service is alwaYs great. Worst chicken parmigiana I have ever eaten. We've heard a lot of good things about the restaurant so we decided to visit. We ordered a mushroom pizza and chicken parmigiana. The pizza was decent, however the parmigiana was extremely bland and the pasta needed salt. The chicken crust was passable but the chicken was tasteless and over cooked. The server didn't seem too bothered by it when we brought it to his attention. Also, the olive oil was poor quality and the bread was dense and bland. Had dinner several weeks ago here, we got there just in time before the dinner rush. It was soooo good. I have the 3 cheese ravioli special and he had the grilled shrimp linguini and my daughter had the simple pasta with sauce. It was all so good!
