I cannot recommend Yara enough! I booked Yara for a yoga retreat buyout and it was absolutely the best experience. All of the staff were so friendly and accommodating + Michael the manager made us feel at home instantly and remembered all of our names. The rooms are so clean, spacious, and comfortable, with so much natural light in the bathrooms and a great attention to detail. The drinks were fabulous, and it's such a convenient location... plus it smells amazing and the views are top notch. We all loved the coffee and included breakfast spread. Such a great stay for a couple or an adult small group buyout. Can't wait to go back!!

this place is amazing! The complimentary breakfast, serene atmosphere, the COMFIEST bed, not to mention how cute the rooms are, to finally the most accommodating and sweetest staff ever. I felt so inspired and rejuvenated after this trip. I highly recommend staying at the here if you get the chance

Beautiful, quiet, intimate hotel in the heart of Palm Springs! I love coming here because you never have to fight for a pool chair, there are only 10 rooms so there isn't an overflow of people, the staff is super friendly, it's right across the street from bar Cecil (my favorite restaurant), and it's very aesthetically pleasing. Would recommend every time!

Amazing staff, amazing hotel, absolutely recommend! Such an inviting feel to your whole stay! We love that is a smaller boutique hotel, it creates such a personal and relaxing stay! The breakfast and cocktails are amazing! We also had some fun frozen treats by the pool! Super close to downtown and walking distance to bar Cecil! We will be staying again!

Found this cute hotel and had to check it out! Booked a room for my husband's birthday and we weren't disappointed. The hotel only has 10 rooms, the lobby is more like a kitchen/living area and then they have this enclosed courtyard area you can see in my pics. We sat outside at the fire pit after the sun went down and we were able to see the mountains, so many stars, and with the dark night sky and the twinkle lights too it was absolutely gorgeous. The pool is heated so you can swim any time. They have craft cocktails, beers and wines you can order and they even brought them outside to us as we relaxed. The hospitality was above and beyond. The manager was so nice and helpful. The continental breakfast was great, yogurts and granola, bagels and banana bread, croissants, fruits, jams, boiled eggs etc. much better quality than a chain hotel. The bed was comfortable and the room cozy. We had a great and relaxing little getaway thanks to Yara!

The most beautiful and relaxing place in Palm Springs!! It was such a clean, aesthetic and peaceful hotel. My boyfriend and I had the best time it was such a treat to stay here. We will most definitely be coming back each year for a much needed getaway!!

Yara hotel exceed all expectations! A beautiful, intimate, and beautiful location. We were able to easily walk / drive around to areas with food and stores. The staff was amazing and also incredibly helpful! Complimentary breakfast, poolside drinks with a heated pool in the winter! 10/10

I've stayed at Yara Hotel twice already; once with my husband and once with my best friend and I'm already planning a trip back! I've never seen a hotel like this in Palm Springs before. When you 1st arrive and open the door, you're transported to what feels like a dream. The pool area is so aesthetically pleasing and has everything you need to have a good time with family or friends. There's a fireplace, loungers, cabana, outdoor tub, cute selfie mirror, and a salt water pool!! You're also greeted by the nicest managers ever who really take care of you throughout your stay. I booked the Xochi Suite which had an amazing shower and tub to soak in. It also had a couch to hangout and watch TV. The design is so well done - earthy, organic, neutral. It reminds me of Tulum. You can tell they put a lot of thought into make it an unforgettable stay for guests. My stress just melted away when I walked into the room. The back area is also so inviting with the living room and kitchen where they serve breakfast, to the outdoor dining area to enjoy the slow morning with coffee. This is my new favorite hotel!

When I walked in I asked where do I check in because the area was giving bar, the guy with the curly pony tail said right here do you have a reservation. I politely told him no because I wanted to see what the vibes were like before booking & kinda laughed, he didn't crack a smile just looked at me like I was bothering him lol so I'm like ok so can I check in here he then says no, you have to do it online but let me tell you the cheapest room we have. Woah woah woah lol what made you think I was looking for cheap ?!! Umm ok so he gives me the quotes for upstairs and down stairs which has a fire place. Funny enough I had always planned on the patio and fire place which was more expensive because it's my birthday I wanted to get some content. Any ways I went online to start the booking and checking in, the price was significantly cheaper than what he quoted me, no biggie as I was putting in my information he handed me a card and said have a seat over there. I was literally damn near done but I guess he didn't want me at his counter any longer so I took the card and slid out the door and went to my car and drove 3 hours back home lol. I guess it wasn't so much what was said but how it was said. The vibes were just off and it scared me away. I get it sometimes dealing with the public is draining but don't give me the energy I'm not giving you! This was my first solo trip so I was nervous and extremely polite on purpose because I'm traveling alone. In case of emergency I would like to think staff care about their guest.

They even had bar set up by the pool which was awesome for all the adults lol . They didn't have hard liquor which sucked, but they did have beer and seltzer at a really reasonable price. The pool was filled with cloudy bluish green water... I reported this to management on the second day, they followed up with I'm sorry, I would be disappointed as well, and that they will have their pool and maintenance team on it right away... That was just something to say try to make me feel better, never once during our stay did pool maintenance or pool cleaning company come and test the water or try or attempt to clean the pool or Hot Tub. The whole idea was to get away from the busy world and to come out to Palmsprings to soak in the pool and Hot Tub was a complete failure... Although our check-in process with Paulina was pleasant, the management and the ownership completely dropped the ball, and clearly showed that they do not care about the cleanliness of the pool, I am confident that if sanitary testing measures were taken, the pool would be shut down due to the filthy nature of the water and disgusting body scum ring. There are 1 vending machine only had Diet Coke left, and the snacks were stale. I would not recommend the dunes.

But there is a spa past the "guests only" sign, away from the pool, so that's at least an option. Rooms are spacious and beautiful. Reminded me of a casita. Shower is huge and has great pressure. Pocket doors all around, nice. Hot tub in back is killer and having a fire pit next to it makes the backyard lounging even more inviting on a crisp night. Free breakfast is full of solid choices. Not-free food and drinks are good but, holy hell, is it overpriced. I hate that we're at a place where drinks are $20 on average for alcohol that hasn't been getting more expensive. General hotel layout was nice, felt vintage and was a refreshing twist. Room layout was interesting, tv was placed in front of the couch so you can't watch tv in bed. When first entering our room: 1. Bathtub was paint was chipped and the faucet was leaking as well. 3. The kitchen utensils were not clean. Forks, glasses and even the roll of paper towels were found dirty or used. The extra rolls under the sink were unwrapped. When coming to our room a few hours after check in, calling customer service (calling three times) took more than an hour, just for us to be told that the lighting and cleanliness issues will be solved in the morning. Was really looking forward to the experience but upon our first few hours, we felt unwelcome, uncomfortable and turned off of our whole stay. Especially when faced with the lack of cleanliness in the restroom, if our bathtub could be so apparently dirty, what else could they have missed? We were forced to spend the first few hours fixing up our room before starting to feel comfortable. This meant scrubbing the bathtub, washing every dish and checking every surface. With the lengthy and detailed check in process, we were really expecting a quality, travel worthy experience. Instead, it felt we were greeted with an unclean, uncomfortable welcome. As guests, it was made obvious to us that customer service was not at the forefront of our experience. I was a little scared when I read that most of the recent reviews were negative. I was thinking "oh no! What did I get us into." This place is a blast from the past. The decor is that of a mid century modern and is a really cozy quadrangle set up. The interior feels homey and the property is set up like an air bnb with shared amenities. They play 1950s music all day on speakers throughout the complex, it creates that vintage feel but can get repetitive after a few days. Lounge with tables, board games, travel brochures, couches, fire place, coffee and tea, and industrial kitchen for use during your stay. (Old reviews mention happy hour, breakfast, snacks, etc. these are no longer offered but why not just bring your own?) Each room has microwave and mini fridge. Outdoor gas fire pit for use. The pool is small but has a deep end 8ft which is nice. There are pool noodles and some tubes to use. The hot tub is spacious and powerful jets. We stayed in the Hawaiian surf room, loved the theme it was so cute and felt like a tropical getaway. The shower is small but functional. Good AC unit with a remote control and ceiling fan. Surfboard coffee table and wicker love seat add to the tropical feel. Overall this was a nice private getaway. You can be left alone to relax! If you need anything you can text the hotel and someone replies super quick in my experience. The hotel feels very secure with codes needed to enter the complex and security cameras at the entrance and surrounding the complex. (Probably for management to check and make sure everything is running smoothly). I would stay here again in a heartbeat and I have stayed at a few different boutique hotels in the area. This would be a top choice! Please realize this is an older complex and it does show some wear and tear but come on the building is probably 100 years old or somewhere close to that. If you are expecting a sterile, high end, resort feel for your stay this is not your place... but otherwise this is a great choice! I couldn't help but feel bad for the owners with all of the really bad reviews on here because that was truly not my experience.
