I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Kissoondial and the entire team at Oakland Oral…read moreSurgery. Before finding Dr. Kissoondial, I had consulted with two other doctors closer to home and left feeling unheard and discouraged. I ultimately decided to travel four hours to Oakland Oral Surgery, and it was one of the best healthcare decisions I've ever made. From my very first consultation, Dr. Kissoondial took the time to truly listen to my concerns, answer my questions, and thoroughly explain the procedure. His genuine compassion, patience, and kindness immediately put me at ease. To me, a doctor's bedside manner is just as important as their clinical skill, and Dr. Kissoondial excels at both. Because I have several autoimmune conditions that impact my health and healing, I was understandably anxious. Dr. Kissoondial carefully took my medical history into account and treated me as a whole person, not just a patient. That level of care meant more to me than words can express. From the initial phone call to schedule an urgent appointment, to my consultation, procedure, and follow-up care, every experience was exceptional. The office staff was incredibly kind, accommodating, and compassionate, making sure I was seen quickly when I needed help. For the first time in a long time, I truly feel like I am on the road to recovery, and I am so grateful. Thank you, Dr. Kissoondial, and thank you to the entire staff at Oakland Oral Surgery for your outstanding care, professionalism, and kindness. You made a difficult experience so much easier, and I will never forget it.

I do know that hygienists have mentioned , elsewhere , that some dental practices encourage this. It was a painful experience . I had a bridge replaced that looked beautiful but shorter than my last bridge. Dr Apsey said that my upper lip was drooping from the anesthesia but it wasn't the case.. l felt like everytime l went back that he said l needed another procedure done asap. After spending over $9000 for a bridge that got infected and had to have a root canal done - another $900, l just couldn't afford to go back and have more work done . I paid $300 for the office discount of 20% off procedures for one year. It would cost mor if l used Care Credit, which in the long run may have been cheaper than making payments on a credit card with higher interest .

I've been to his office twice and never had to wait in the lobby more than 10 minutes. Dr. Apsey performed a root canal on my front tooth, and he went above and beyond to ensure that I was comfortable and understood everything he did step-by-step. I can say the same thing for his staff as they're all very friendly and helpful. Also the root canal and filling were completed within one hour! I will be returning for all future dental work.

Excellent quality looking dentures and implants making you ready for that special occasion, new career or whatever your teeth have been holding you back. They care about your health overall and know how important the condition of your dental upkeep affects your overall health and wellbeing. Extremely clean office and the newest technology that you can't ignore. 3D imaging aids in better knowledge of your dental needs and care. Dedicated team from front desk to back office helped my experience virtually stress-free. Everywhere I go I get compliments as to how natural and beautiful my new denture and partial looks and they ask me for a card because they want to go too! A newer dental location just kicked off November 2025. They just had even a huge Grand Opening in May 2026 for their patients with food and entertainment. Community conscious and it matters. They want you to be happy so you'll come back and bring your friends and family. My Dentist is Dr Rami Stanbouly and my benefit coordinator is Alvin. But everyone that I have been in contact with have nothing but giving me the highest of care. Don't miss out on this diverse Dental gem in our Metro-Detroit community! I was dropped as a patient after being late just once, even though I had already paid for X-rays and a $35 deposit. Meanwhile, I've seen other patients sitting in the waiting room for hours for the doctor, and that seems to be totally fine. The double standard is unbelievable. You're made to feel like they are the boss of you instead of being a paying patient. The arrogance and lack of respect are just beyond words. Avoid all great expression locations!

This was not a case of "we'll only charge you if you miss the appointment." They keep the money no matter what, regardless of insurance coverage. They said they will apply it to a future bill if I get services through them. Also, even though my current dentist is at another Great Expressions office, I was informed that they will not accept my current x-rays and I would have to have more taken. I am not opposed to paying for services rendered, but this seems greedy and desperate. I'm sure I can find a more ethical business elsewhere.
