Well, my story started out great. Everything you expect at a name plate Honda Dealership. Nice coffee, clean, friendly, attractive attendants and service writers. Simple radiator flush by a certified Honda Service Center. What could go wrong? Well, forgetting to restore the water hose clamp to the engine block, might have ruined my day. But fortunately they made it right by redoing the flush. My wife really saved us by pulling off and letting me come and check out why the engine bay was steaming. I attached the hose clamp and refilled the radiator. Brought it back to Honda and they gave me a free service to fix with out any pushback. Very cool. I had some free pretzels and a nice sit in the AC show room. Zero complaints on how they handled everything. Very happy. So why 3 stars? Because of two things. Nothing will be offered to make up for the inconvenience and the very bad mistake of nearly costing my wife sit in the heat with a broke engine. I will upgrade to four stars if they do offer me something for the time and hassel. That would be going above and beyond. If they refund the cost of the flush, five stars and a raving fan! Guaranteed! Stay tuned. 1/29/2019 - down graded my rating. Be prepared to be up-sold on even the most minor repairs. My wife had a routine brake service scheduled and the service person suggested about $500 of additional work - completely unnecessary! On top of the she had a $20 coupon for the brake service and suddenly noticed a "service fee" she didn't agree to, for $17. If you have money to burn or you just feel like gifting lobby treats to the next 400 customers to drive out to the Honda service center, then agree to everything they tell you and prepare to spend a truck load of money. Nice people who are good at taking your money, just because she a woman and doesn't know much about cars. Despicable.

When did oil changes get so expensive? Valvoline has an app where you can get coupons. Without the…read morecoupon, the oil change would have been over $100. I chose the higher-end oil, but it was surprising to see the price that high--especially since I didn't even have any filters changed. The service itself was very fast and efficient, which I appreciated. But overall, it's pretty expensive for just a basic oil change.

UPDATE: after 72 hour, I have still not been contacted by ANY Valvoline local management. I was…read morelegitimately ghosted by the entire company, who had the audacity to respond to this review to accuse me of being fake because my wife made the case under her name-- how many open investigations do they have at this store alone? I am flabbergasted that I have sent the email Jamie has listed in previous reviews an email to try to understand what is going on with my car that they messed up, but have received NO communication. This is a living nightmare. Original review: 13 miles after receiving an oil change from manager Rob, my car engine stopped working completely. I was in contact, via text, twice with the manager. He sent a tech out who could not figure it out. After the manager "looked at the tapes," he fled his place of work and lied to his staff about coming back. After nearly three hours of waiting for the tow truck they called and waiting for Rob to come back-- we were forced to leave my car at Valvoline and take a $50 Lyft home. I was able to start a case with Valvoline, but I have received NO communication from the manager Rob or area manager Grant. My engine in my car is no longer working directly after an oil service, and the local leadership has not communicated at all. No rental car, no help getting back home (we were visiting Bloomington). They were actually useless. Eager to find out what damage they have caused to my vehicle-- DO NOT GO HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE

I drove my car roughly to the area where I thought they took them in and went inside. The guy was very nice and took my info, but also asked me if I wanted to share it, meaning I could opt out if I wanted to. I asked if they had differing levels of oil changes. They do, and I got the lower end package. They still checked fluids, bulbs, and other things. They will offer to replace, but some of it is pricey. Some bulbs are very difficult and would be worth having them replace, others are just simply pulling out the connector and replacing the bulb. The waiting room is a bit small, but the wait was actually very short. All three bays were full when I arrived with 2 cars waiting. I think I expected to be there longer. When they were done they gave me a rundown of everything they found. All was OK, except for a few bulbs that they recommended replacing. They aired up my tires, and even had covers for the stems that were missing them. (Thanks to the last place where they checked the tires and didn't replace any.) It reminded me of my old experiences at Jiffy Lube. They highlighted one issue that could have been serious. The guy mentioned my car was a little slow to turn over. I had noticed that and wrote it off to the weather. He suggested I get my battery checked. I did, and found out there was a lot of corrosion that had been hiding under the battery cover. This was absolutely starting to cause problems! I appreciate his noting that! HIGHLY recommend this place. Friendly and thorough. That's tougher to find these days. I'll be back!
