We were craving Andy's because they have amazing burgers and their sweet Hawaiian burger buns are absolutely delicious! We were craving for bbq and hubby found this spot on Yelp so thought we'd give it a try based on the yelp reviews. Upon arrival, it looked like a local dining spot and the restaurant was a bit small. There was only one table with three people when we arrived, so not too busy. Their sandwiches were not spectacular or memorable as I felt that I could've made a better meal back home, but service was attentive and kind. A hole in the wall. As if that's a bad thing, lol. Some of the best food comes from a neighborhood spot like this and at 2 in the afternoon, it was wall to wall. Burger options are plentiful and I went with their take on a Hawaiian burger, dressed with a slice of pineapple. The burger was a little overdone and dry for my liking and the pineapple didn't add any extra juice. My partner in crime and meals however, likes her burgers that way so it's a matter of preference. The onion ringers were stellar and appeared to have a little black pepper in the batter which enhanced their flavor profile. We came here for an early dinner based on recommendation of a friend's friend. Clearly a burger joint, that helped narrow the focus of what we should order. I went for the Patty Melt and Fries - food came out after about 10min, so not a bad wait at all for freshly made food. The seasoning on the burger is delicious, elevating it from just an ok sandwich to a good sandwich. The onions on the Patty Melt were good, maybe could have used a little more time on the griddle for that golden-brown color (same for the Texas Toast it was served on), but overall still delicious. Fries were perfectly cooked and came with a touch of cajun seasoning - could have stood to have more seasoning in my book. The restaurant itself is quite small inside, maybe seating for 20-25 people if all tables are full. So, get here early if you plan to dine in! Service was friendly and helpful as well. read more

Stopped in today with the fiancé to try a local spot for lunch in the cypress area. He had a burger and I had a chicken sandwich. He had onion rings, I had sweet potato fries. The chicken sandwich: Very tasty! Grilled chicken was juicy and cooked really well! The bread and all ingredients on the sandwich were fresh and delicious! The sweet potato fries were delicious, but could use a bit more salt or seasoning to enhance flavor, but they were good. The burger: a little well done for our liking, but all things considered, it was large and pretty good! The onion rings were spot on! If they want anymore patrons to dine in, they need to address the A/C issue. The large fan they had going was simply not enough to make it comfortable for anyone inside. (I feel bad for the employees during this extremely hot summer) We will probably try it again, we were not disappointed with our lunch! read more

Wanted to try a new place and I came upon this new place. We ordered fried jalapeños and were surprised at how large the basket was. We also ordered beef and chicken empanadas for our kids. The kids both loved their food. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and it was fantastic, the pork was nicely cooked and flavorful. My husband ordered the cowboy burger and it wasn't as great as we had hoped. The beef patty was thin and dry and just not what we expected. My daughter and I were out shopping at the outlet mall in Cypress. We got hungry and there is nothing good to eat at the mall. We decided we were done shopping anyway and it was time to get something to eat. (Saved the hubby some money there...I'm sure he appreciates that!) My daughter suggested Andy's. She has had take out from them; but she has never actually been there. It was around 2pm when we got there and a few people in there finishing their meals. I'm going to say the place is very cozy. It has a large bar on one side of the wall. And maybe, I mean maybe 10 tables in the restaurant. They do have some outdoor sitting for those beautiful Texas days. Since we had never been there before we were not sure if you order at the bar or they come to you. We sat down and waited a few minutes realizing no one was going to come over as the gentlemen at the bar just kept looking at us. I saw some menus by the cash register and grab 2 and we made our decision, placed our order and paid. DONE. We moved outside to enjoy the sunshine. Our bacon burgers came and they looked really delicious. The meat had a great favorite to it. The seasoning was perfect; not to much, not to little. Now on to the fries. I normally do Not like seasoned fries but, these were cooked and seasoned again perfect. They were not overcooked, undercooked or greasy! Nice and crispy. The outside said the were voted #1 in Cypress for their burgers. I believe it. I will have to take my husband here for a burger and fries date night. I think he will enjoy it. As for why only 4 stars. Well, the gentlemen at the bar could have come over and brought us menus. You could tell we had never been there before. I thoroughly enjoy the food. My decision to visit the restaurant was influenced by the fact that their prices on the website were a dollar less per item compared to ordering online. However, when I arrived at the restaurant, I was surprised to find that the total cost was higher than I had anticipated. A receipt was not automatically given, I had to ask for an itemized receipt, which was also weird. Although I'm willing to pay for the great taste, I find it concerning that the prices were misleading. When I raised this issue with the staff, they acknowledged that the website had incorrect pricing and mentioned that many customers had complained about it before. I believe that if the employees are aware of this issue, it should be addressed and resolved. read more

I really liked Andy's at first, especially with so much hype from the Fairfield community. But our experiences this year have left me very disappointed. Our go-to item at Andy's is a burger. More than twice, our burgers have been undercooked, pink throughout. Ground beef is not safe when cooked like this, so we've had to microwave our patties at home in order to eat the burger. I tried calling to let them know about this the last time my food was undercooked, and they didn't really seem to care. For $1.50 extra, I received 5 small slices of jalapeños on my burger. (See photo) For another $1.50 extra, I received 6 mediocre medium onion rings. Additionally, my bun most recently either absorbed too much pickle juice or was undercooked. Part of it looked and felt like raw dough. (See photo) I do like the taste of the bun and burger when cooked properly, but the consistency, value, and customer service are lacking. read more

Every time I eat at Andy's Kitchen I leave with a full stomach but somehow still wanting more to eat! I had my favorite, go to - The Ohana Burger with a side of fries. Absolutely delicious! Aside from the burger being made perfectly the bun that it's served on is to die for. My wife enjoyed the Pulled Pork sandwich which is also served on the same delicious bread but also paired with perfectly cooked pork and bbq sauce that even the pickiest bbq sauce fans will love! Well. I have been a fan of this place e for a few years but today had the worst experience. At noon I brought a friend here and I ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich. My friend ordered the Texas burger and added fresh onions. Their burger came out without the onion rings or fresh onions. When asked they said they would add the onions. 15 min later got the burger back without the fresh onions. When asked was they brought out 3 piece of wrinkled rubbery onions. Said that they would have to slice new onion if we wanted more. While we waited another customer came back in because the kitchen forgot his bacon. Not sure if there is management here at noon today u didn't see Andy but the front end and kitchen seem to be having way more fun than the customers. It's ok to enjoy your job but the back and forth silly games wasn't customer centric. Hopefully this is a one time thing and not the start of a trend. read more

OMG I wish Yelp had a million stars This place is amazing. We've lived in cypress for 10 years and have missed this hidden gem. I can't even begin to explain the tastiness of the burgers and fries. It was THE MOST AMAZING burger I have ever enjoyed. I could go on and on but MAN you must give this place a try. The Waitress Cara is sooo friendly! (Andy) if you read this just know that she is a valuable worker! She spoke to my family and gave us the history of the Kitchen. You don't find too many places that have good food and amazing staff. Fried pickles were hot and fresh! Batter coating is not too heavy and pickles are crisp and delicious! My husband said the ranch that comes with the pickles was watery. This is the GOAT small burger joint. I wanted a place to step away from the Houston crazy pace for a good burger with my son. We both had a burger and he had fries but I ordered the mushrooms. Mushrooms were fantastic and the fries were delicious with good seasoning. The burgers (mine was mushroom and Swiss). Simply made and simply delicious. We will be back. It's a nice small mom and pop restaurant, but right when you walk in there's so much character. Their decor is fun and eclectic. They have two TVs playing the game and they offer bar seating. Because the place is small, they don't offer a lot of seating...but they do offer catering for big parties. I came with my family and ordered fried mushroom, and for entree we ordered the Andy's cheeseburger, Buffalo chicken salad and we had to try out the BBQ sundae with beef fajitas. The fried mushrooms were small but packed with lots of crispy goodness and was flavorful. The BBQ sundae was an interesting concept....it came in a cup looking like a sundae so that was neat, but idealistically was a little hard to eat. It had a scoop of garlic mashed potato on the bottom of then layered with your choice of meat, and in our case the beef fajita. Then it was topped with another scoop of garlic mashed potato and garnished with a few pickles, onions and bbq sauce. It definitely has potential, but I felt like something was missing...it was a bit dry but you can't overdo it with the bbq sauce or else it will be too tangy and sweet. I think the real winner was the Andy's cheeseburger...the burger was nice and juicy. We added pickled jalapeños to the burger and it was a perfect burger. Andy's are known for their burgers, so whenever it doubt...always choose a burger because you can't go wrong there. read more
