I wish that the drive thru had the menu by the order window and not just at the big board out front where I had to remember my order and feel pressured to read all the options with people behind me in line! Like several food spots being added to RTP Andy's was one of my fav additions over the last year. A couple of unique things about the location: 1) It has a drive through option 2) it is located in a large complex with Wegmans, nice dining spots, a lake and trail if that counts :) This location is also open late in the might especially on summer nights so your midnight dessert cravings have a home. They have a good variety of toppings, sundae options, and pints. I am biased towards the chocolate custard with almonds and hot fudge. I love it is not overly sweet and the thick creaminess is just right for my taste. The size is good and we usually end up sharing it. The place has plenty of parking which is a plus for me. What can be hit or miss is the Customer service depending on the how trained the kids at the counter are but on an average my experience has been good! read more

Drove by this place at 10:30pm last night and line was crazy! After a quick Wegman's trip we saw that the line shorten so I had to give it a try. It's a real treat, both in the sense of the actually dessert and the service. Big shout out to Alex who gave us the best customer service and manning it all by himself! First time there so I can't speak for a majority of their menu but I ordered the Nutty Waffle Crunch concrete (vanilla frozen custard blended with waffle cone pieces, crushed nuts and melted chocolate chip). Please drive carefully because it's quite narrow. I would recommend knowing what you want before you take this lane. The menus are a bit confusion since there are so many items. I ordered a medium custard with the chocolate and strawberry. It was called the snow-something? But it seems like it was a favorite. It was quite delicious! In my opinion, enough to feed two people. I would've been fine with a small. The chocolate was thinly chopped to the point where it melted in your mouth. The custard was the perfect amount of sweetness. Overall, very impressed! We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon after lunch. Been wanting to try out their custard. They have vanilla and chocolate flavors only. Lots of topping choices. It's either drive thru or walk up. The sun was out so we did walk up and sat outside (they have several benches) to eat. I had the snow monster concrete. Vanilla custard with strawberries and chocolate sauce (I think it was sauce?). Hubby had the one with Oreo cookie crumbles and a few other ingredients. The SMALLs were pretty big. It was hard for me to finish it. A smaller size would be a good thing. This field has competition. We prefer the "other" guys concrete. We would come back if we had a BOGOF coupon and try something else. Maybe a sundae would be better ?? read more

This location of Andy's Frozen Custard is amazing! Andy's Frozen custard has the best menu of frozen treats. Everything starts with the base of thick and rich Andy's custard. I believe they have both chocolate and vanilla, but personally I'm a huge fan of their vanilla base. On it's own it's got a wonderful flavor and it's thick, but not too thick to easily enjoy. You can decide to either make your treat a sundae, a concrete, or eat it by itself. I personally love their concretes. They don't skimp on the ingredients, and it's swirled together so nicely. Plus, the sizes are huge! I can easily split their large size between 2 people. During my visit, I was helped by the most friendly person. She was so patient as we decided on items on the menu. Lastly, she made sure to keep the line moving so that everyone could be in and out pretty quickly. She made the experience here all the better! I visited during COVID, and I will say that this is the perfect COVID friendly dessert place. First off, you can easily get your treats through the drive thru, which makes things really safe and efficient. Otherwise, you can order at the window and there's a good amount of outdoor seating to spread out and enjoy Andy's in the open air. As mentioned in previous reviews, their menu is overwhelming! I'd suggest studying it before coming, so you're not confused about what options there are. We got the James Brownie Funky Jackhammer (Andy's frozen custard blended with creamy peanut butter and brownies, then filled with hot fudge). This was delicious! Custard is heavenly! I think it's significantly tastier than a hard scoop, although I am still debating if it would win against soft serve. Be prepared though, it melts so fast. I am old school, I like a sundae with caramel with peanuts. The blackberry with chocolate chip blend was A+, the jitterbug is a nice light espresso flavor. We got a jackhammer once but felt there was less caramel than my sundae! The cons: This place although delicious is a bit confusing to order at. You pretty much need to have memorized the menu when you order, or find your suggested mix on one of the many signs or their website. The app does have rewards but doesn't let you order or give you any menu info, just links you to the website. Will we go back? Most definitely! We visited Andy's a few days ago and ordered 3 small concretes: 1 Snowmonster, 1 Butter Pecan, and 1 Snowmonster Jackhammer style (which was mine). A small could easily be shared if you've had a meal prior. I was told that the Jackhammer style was a concrete but with a hole down the center, filled with toppings. When I received mine, the topping was just kind of scattered on the top. I was looking forward to slowly getting more and more as I ate my concrete, but it wasn't so.. Save your money and just get a regular concrete! Otherwise, it wasn't bad! Warning though that it's very sweet. I wasn't ready for the amount of sugar in 1 cup! read more

Consistently good. I was skeptical to write a review on a chain custard place in the middle of a wegmans shopping plaza. This place is very good. The vanilla custard is just the perfect amount of sweetness and always the perfect temp. The staff are always wearing masks and usually pretty quick. We usually obtain the original strawanna! Which is vanilla custard with strawberries and bananas. Everything is always very fresh. I recently compared this to a local favorite. This place wins hands down! Andy's has a vast selection of ice cream to choose like Sunday's, Concretes, Milkshakes, etc. They have a lot of things that I liked and will continue to give my business to. First off in the Cary/Morrisville area do you know who stay open past 10pm? Second off they have a drive through line and sitting area and it's not super packed as of yet. So it's very easy getting in and out. There portion size and price is a lot better then a lot of the other ice cream places. Now let's get to the flavors! Major cabin fever so the husband and I decided to check out the new custard spot in Morrisville. We expected it to be busy but it wasn't. Only a few cars in the drive-thru and a few more people at the window. Line moved fairly quickly. The custard was delicious! Be sure to try the Drumstick Concrete and add caramel (thank me later) And/or the Bootdaddy Concrete. We paid ~$14 for a medium and a large concrete. The medium size is a lot of ice cream and the large is a WHOLE lot of ice cream. The custard seemed to melt quickly even while sitting in our car with the air on. Maybe that's just what custard does...melt fast? ‍ anyway, try it out. They stay open until midnight! read more

First things first: Andy's does not have food! I know there is a place called Andy's cheesesteaks and cheeseburgers. This is not it. Andy's does have yummy frozen custard (like ice cream) in cones, cups, as sundaes, or blended into concretes (like a DQ Blizzard). There are lots of toppings to choose from and several sizes. Unfortunately there are no sugar free options. I was told you cant made custard without sugar...but surely there's a way to offer something for keto, low carb, or diabetic moms who want to bring our kids for dessert but don't just want to sit there and watch them have a great! My only other qualm is it's pretty pricey. For three normal sized concretes it was almost $20! read more
