Andy's pizza is legit. The pepperoni and sausage is good, the pepperoni is a bit more salty. I personally like mine spicy. Best place to go right before a show at the 9:30 club or Atlantis. The staff is always nice. This was my first time seeing the buffalo chicken pizza, and I will say the best I've ever had! Huge chunks of fried chicken, white cheese and ribbons of buffalo sauce poured through the jumbo slice. My new favorite! You can eat on the patio that has heated lamps during winter or you can grab a table or a window seat inside. They have a full bar and beers on tap. Enjoy! read more

I really like the inside of this pizza spot! The bar is nice and the bartenders were super friendly! There was a little confusion when I was getting my pizza but they eventually got it together. It was late and there were alot of people. Overall I enjoyed my experience and I tried several different slices of pizza which were all equally delicious. I had a meat lovers pizza, pepperoni slice, and buffalo chicken. My favorite was definitely the pepperoni slice! It was hot, fresh, crispy, and cheesy with just the perfect amount of grease! Cool place to grab some slices of pizza to try! Ordering was easy and I got the Buffalo Crispy Chicken. It was flavorful and not too spicy. I also got their Lemonade mix which you can have alcohol added. I got vodka in it and was quite tasty and refreshing. I was here with a group and we dined outside on their patio since someone had their dog. It was chilly out but staff were able to provide us with heat lamps. For a pizza joint, they have really elevated their offerings. You walk into a case filled with thin but blistered crust pizza with a tight but cravable topping selection. They seem to have great appetizers that fit the look and feel of this pizza/ bar joint. I liked how their drink casings have byo cocktails in deli containers, its a nice custom touch that shows their attention to detail. Its a great open space, that feels warm and inviting when its filled. I like it a lot and their slices are not bad! There is an artisan level of toppings, ranging from honey, fresh basil, caramelized onion and even a white pie. Because its by the slice, you can take your time revisiting this place for a different taste any time. Its well situated in the neighborhood of eateries, and I'd come here for my next slice. read more

The closest thing to a NY slice in DC and the perfect spot to pop into after a show at The Atlantis up the street. When I popped in on a Wednesday night the place was pretty lively with people enjoying wine and pies of pizza. They have a great assortment of wine and beers a plenty of seating. They also have a good amount of TV's so you can enjoy a game while there. Even right before closing they had a lot of pizza options including mushroom, cheese, pepperoni, veggie, sausage and others. In the mood for pizza so we went to try this NY style pizza place that you can order by the slice. I got one mushroom topped and one sausage and green pepper topped slice which both were very good and I just love the NY style thinner crust. Price was decent and staff helpful. Awesome flavor to this pizza. Ended up ordering delivery (note they use DoorDash) and was pleasantly surprised and the speed and quality of the food. Delicious! Got their house special pie which is pepperoni with burrata and fresh basil drizzled with hot honey and it was great! Highly recommend. Also got a side of their Brussels and those were good as well. During Snallygaster Weekend, many places became beer havens, and this neighborhood pizza spot was no exception, with a cavalcade of brewers coming together to host a special preview party. I give a solid four simply because this event didn't allow me to sample Andy's Pizza under regular circumstances. But from chilling in the bar area with a good sampling of their charred broccolini, to chilling in their epic courtyard with the 2nd best Pizza mural I ever did see and trying some epic slices, I did get a strong feel for everything good that Andy's is able to dish out! The Snallygster pre-party was a who's who of breweries serving up an impressive beer list in Andy's outdoor courtyard while also giving away some very necessary hangover remedies for that after-fest Sunday. While Andy's doesn't have the quantity of brews on that level all the time, they do have a solid bar space in their own right with some quality taps, and a good selection of beers for takeaway. While I didn't get the chance to order any pizza pies or slices, it was because for the event the event Andy's provided all kinds of pies with all of the fixings. And through that, I was able to enjoy slices of Margherita, BBQ chicken, meat lovers, and then some. I even had a slice of vegan pizza that I found to be more delicious than I could ever imagine for a vegan pizza. With things like that, I know my go-to pizza destination the next time that I'm in DC! read more

The line kept moving and the place was clean and neat, so it was nice to sit and enjoy our food. They have a separate bar area. And there are free ice water stations available. The six of us needed a dinner #2, so we stopped by Andy's Pizza for a slice. Each single slice (and not all pizza options have single slice) is 4.50, which isn't exactly a steal, but each piece is pretty big. At around 7:30 PM this past Saturday, we didn't have to wait long in line to get our slice (most of us got Margherita). MARGHERITA (SLICE) - 4.50 +1.50 for Ricotta This brings it to 6 per slice which is kind of steep but the ricotta was pretty worth it. It was fresh and creamy, which elevated the slice. I think each slice could have used more tomato sauce, because it was a bit dry (and saved by the ricotta!) on its own. Some pieces had more crust than others, and not every slice had an equal distribution of toppings. Overall, solid choice for a late night snack. We downed our slices in the outdoor seating area which had some heating. I'm waiting for Andy's to open near where I live so I can grab a slice whenever. read more

OVERALL: best pizza in town. FOOD: the slices are huge, great sauce to cheese ratio, and they don't skimp on the toppings. It's thin and crispy. If you order a regular sized pizza and do half 1 topping and the other half another topping, you basically get 2 medium sized pizzas. Interesting experience at Andy's today. we did many delivery orders in the past and numerous visits to the location that openedo. We ordered a full pie, Ceasar salad and wings. we went to the bar and ordered two vodkas with cranberry. we were told none of the Andy's stock cranberry. Hard to believe as the bar is where the money is made. We ate a subpar pizza big disappointment from our past orders. Did not seem freshly made. Ceaser salad lettuce was not crisp and fresh. This is the closest thing we have to NY pizza in DC so they will have me as a customer for a while because of that. I love NY pizza. The options they have aren't extensive but the ones I've tried have all been fire. My favorite is the mushroom one! The service is always fast and efficient, and also friendly. BEST NYC style PIZZA near Howard University in Washington, DC. Needed a quick bite, inexpensive but DELICIOUS... this is your spot. I got 2 slices ( and my pizza server thought one of my slices was sliced incorrectly in size so gave me two ) and a drink for $10!!!! The spot has a nice patio to sit outside! And inside has a wide selection of liquor for alcoholic beverages with a television for watching sport events. The Pizza itself is the STAR of the show. The crust is light and airy with the perfect crisp. The cheese and sauce are just perfect. They provide you Parmesan cheese in a little cute container if you want to sprinkle it over your slice. Would highly recommend. I know when I return for HU homecoming this fall, I will return back there for another couple of slices!!! read more

The bartender was very friendly and funny! Plus the pizza and the food was good. We started off with the old bay fries. Which was surprisingly good. Sometimes with old bay it can be too salty if you add too much. But these had enough to get the old bay flavor but not too much to make them inedible. I got two slices mushroom and onion & the pepperoni special. Both were very good slices, some of the best pizza I've had in dc. Out of the two my favorite was the pepperoni house special. It was a balance of sweet (from the hot honey), salty (pepperoni), creamy (burrata) and fresh herby (from the basil). My only regret was not ordering another slice to-go haha. read more
