This company is fine for routine maintenance, but if you buy a maintenance contract they will lie to you about their emergency service. They put you on the emergency schedule and then call back 4 hours later and cancel, wasting time you could have used to find someone who can actually help. I cannot begin to express how poorly my experience was with this company. I bought a new furnace from them. The initial install took 2 separate days (about 12hrs total), with a 3rd and 4th visit because their work wasn't up to code upon city inspection.. Twice. Even after expressing my frustration to them, even the supervisor whom finally came out didn't offer any explanation, apology or even a compensatory offer to smooth things over. Nothing. 7 days, of having to be home waiting for them to do their job, over the period of 2 months, this includes the city inspector that had to come out 3 times. Don't ever use these guys. I used them to install an AC at my house in lake orion. The sales person tells you they will handle every aspect of the permitting and install. For the price they charge you would expect white glove. The installers were great, but what they don't tell you is they are opening up the permit in your name and its up to you to schedule the final permit inspection. You find that out via a letter in the mail. Anyways two years later I now owe lake orion $500 in mech and elect permit extension fees. I had Andy's installed a new furnace over a year ago and they were supposed to come back to show me how to do the filter and to make sure the furnace was working properly but every time they was scheduled for the return no one ever called or showed up. I finally got upset and asked what was the problem because your inconveniencing me as well as if I don't have anything better to do she kindly told me what if they have time they'll come but they're too busy and they're too backed up so the furnace stopped working properly through the year and yet they still didn't come by. It is now a a whole year later with my furnace improperly working I call and now they want to charge me an arm and a leg to come do what they should have did a long time ago but that's not their guarantee so do not use these people they do not stand behind their word and they don't come back out to do maintenance If they do they send a child out that probably won't know what he's doing because even with my thermostat I was told to look it up how to use it because he did not know. AC Unit Install Horrible experience every step of the way from the pushy and unprofessionalism of the salesman to the sloppy work of the tech who left a complete mess in my basement and destroyed my insulation along my basement wall. He also could not be bothered to level my new unit even after I asked several times. The whole house has a foul smell now every time I run the furnace or AC. Called a tech back out to address the issues. HE WAS NOT WILLING TO DO ANYTHING OTHER THAN WIPPING DOWN THE TOP OF MY FURNACE. I've been with Andy's Statewide for 15 years. They installed my furnace and air conditioner and did a fabulous job. Over the years they did the service and except for a couple of issues the relationship was good because we were dealing with people we could trust. Lately when someone comes out for the furnace their main incentive is to explain how the furnace should be replace. This last visit for low heat cost $89 to have a guy tell me how part after part after part was bad or going bad soon. He showed me I had water in the exhaust blower motor but would not clean the drain lines, he only wanted to sell me a new furnace. When he left I got a second opinion. My second opinion is don't call Andy's Statewide. read more

These crooks came out for American Home Sheild (another scam company) and wrote an estimate for a furnace replacement. They doubled the prices and wrote up repairs that weren't needed. The estimate was swayed to save the insurance company money and stick me with most of the bill. I got the cash settlement from the insurance and got the furnace replaced for a third of what their estimate was from a different company. read more

Terrible place! Furnace was cutting out intermittently, Was told I needed a new heat exchanger on my furnace for $700 or that I should just replace the furnace because its old. Turns out the filter was clogged and causing the furnace to shut off. Replaced the filter and the furnace works perfectly. Total scammers! read more

Andy' Statewide will take advantage of you. They charged me $198 labor to install a simple capacitor and the capacitor part (material) was under Trane warranty..and on top they charged me $89 for the service call. Replacing a capacitor is a 15 min job so effectively they charged me at a rate of $800/hr. They will never get my business again. When I told him I would get one myself and install it, he told me they cost $300 - $400. Later online I found the exact replacement Capacitor for $80 read more

I had an annual contract with Andy's for years and became increasingly frustrated with their services. They tried to charge me twice for my annual contract, never had my replacement filters when they came, etc. I left for another service. Gave Andy's a second chance when Home Depot had a promo. the Home Depot sponsored visit went well and I signed up for the annual contract. First visit under prepaid contract and the technician comes out - doesn't ring the doorbell or knock (I have a dog who would have barked had he actually run the bell) and then didn't have my filter. The kicker was when they called me the next day wanting and EXTRA $100 for a two pack of furnace filters I can buy on line for $59. Never again Andy's. You blew your second chance. read more

I had a whole new furnace installed and the one guy who did the installation was awesome (sorry I can't remember his name). The only down fall was no one told me about the Rebate you can receive from DTE of $200-$400. I ask about it six months later when someone asked me did I receive the Rebate and now I don't qualify for it because its a new year. Dale, the salesman, explained every feature, the cost difference between each and answered my relentless questions patiently. He responded to my email queries within an hour. His sincerity made us feel that he was working in our best interests. Curt and Greg, the installers, were intelligent, well-dressed, courteous and incredibly competent. Again, they fielded all of my questions with grace and educated me throughout the installation. The fit and finish of their work is noticeably better than the previous installation. The basement is cleaner than when they started! Time will tell, but if the sales-installation process is any indication, I am confident that the equipment will serve us well for many years. read more

Used for DTE Rebate AC-Tune Up. Paid extra out of pocket because DTE requires a more thorough inspection with diagnostic results. A regular tune-up was $89, DTE tune-up costs $119. After multiple calls to Andy's and DTE, no rebate forms were ever submitted on my behalf! It was confirmed by Ryan, the Andy's person responsible for rebates, that my rebate would be submitted back in May, it's now close to the end of June and NOTHING SUBMITTED. They may do good work, BUT DO NOT USE FOR ANY REBATE PROGRAM AS IT WILL NOT BE SUBMITTED FOR YOU! If I had to do it all over I would print the rebate forms from DTE, get the technician to sign, and submit myself so I know it was done correctly and timely. read more

They do good work. That's undeniable, however i was quoted for having my gas water heater replaced and told that if additional work/ducting etc needed to be done it would be a minimal charge. I ended up needing my metal roof vent replaced. The part costs 15 -20 bucks and it took him about 15 min to do that. The charge for that was over 150 dollars..i find that ridiculous and did feel a bit taken advantage of. They did good work as i mentioned but i would recommend shopping around a bit since their pieces seem a high. read more

In February 2020 I returned home to my furnace not working, we had been researching to replace both the furnace and air conditioner. Andy's statewide because of their 24/7 availability for service, was the obvious one we chose. The next day 2 installers showed up to our home and began to remove the 2 expired units. I had business taking me out of town I left them with a check and my wife stayed to lock our home when they were done. The following day when I returned home, and saw the shotty work that was done, I immediately phone the call service who then wanted to schedule a work crew in the next few days, right after cashing my $9600 check the day prior. Finally after contacting the district mgmt a separate team including that dist. mgr returned to my home to fix the shotty work at which time they also discovered a leaking line from the installation process. This past weekend, Sunday afternoon we began calling because the air conditioning will not come on and today 3 days from the initial call, and 6 more than 15 min phone calls listening to their 24/7 emergency service promises, at this time we have YET to hear from ANY member of mgmt which I have requested from phone calls 3-6. These guys are very dishonest and greedy. I called them to service my furnace because the burner did not come on so it wasn't blowing warm air. The tech guy showed up went to the furnace open the door and used his screwdriver to hit the back of the limit switch and the furnace was back running. Then he said he will change the switch but he needs to go outside to make call. Whenever you hear something like this from any person working for you that they need go outside so you can't hear what they are talking about your job; that should raise the alarm for you that he is up to no good. This guy went out to his truck for about ten minutes and came back to tell me that the part will cost $210 and he will order it and come back to put it on. I paid him $89 for coming to my house for less than fifteen minutes which he spent ten minutes of it outside in his truck planning how to rip me off. After this guy left, I got on line to Lennox dealer web site to check the price for the part he said he want to get for $210 ,it was $39.83 and there is even a part dealer in Westland close to their location that even sell it for $36.84. I sent them an email right away that I don't need their part for $210 and made them realize that Lennox dealer are selling the part for $39.83 on line. They don't even bother to reply the email because they realize I have caught them in their dishonest and greedy attitude towards customers. The part this guy was even trying to get for $210, I don't even need it. My furnace has been working fine for the past nine days this guy has been here. Bottom line, do not use this company service for anything, they are very dishonest and greedy people; they will just come to your house and start telling you stories to buy what you don't need at ridiculous prices. If there is anything below one star that is what I will give this company. Got stopped while in Home Depot as our AC was dying. John P. from Andys Statewide (Lake Orion) came out a week later and wrote up vague quote for 3 different new AC units. I'm not sure what all was included because only a name brand and a price was included. Quotes started around $6k and went up for a 4 Ton unit with new coil I assume? (coil was not listed on quote) He made my wife very uncomfortable and was very condescending. She described the experience as creepy. Anyway had another technician stop by from HVAC Pro who added 1 lb of freon and unit is working great again! HVAC Pro also gave me a quote for new units at less than 1/2 what John P quoted us. So in a nut shell if you want to invite a really creepy man into your home to give you a very high quotation for something you might not even need don't hesitate to give Andys Statewide a call! read more

As I sit here with the temperature -12 outside, I can't imagine how a company like this has a 5 star rating. They have one repair person working tonight (because apparently logic states that when you have the coldest night in over a decade, heaters tend not to break) who had 10 appointments on the schedule by 8:30. I was the 11th. They called me back later and canceled that appointment. So now, I get to sit by my phone, take a half a vacation day, and wait for someone to show up between 8-12 tomorrow morning. Oh and do it in all in the freezing cold. Watch out for the price. It was mid winter, my furnace does not start and no options or negotiations and has to pay $800 for Furnace Inducer. He does not want to give any warranty and have to call and fight for the 1yr parts and labor warranty. Don't get trapped into $69 furnace tuneup. If I could give less stars I would. Installation date 4/12/19. The whole experience with this company from start to finish has been awful! The service guys who did the Furnace and AC stated that it's normally a 2-day job, but they had to get it done before they left that their supervisor wouldn't let them come back again the next day because it was too far (thanks for the rush job). Upon them leaving I found that the cutting board in my kitchen by where by breaker box is was broke in half and my outlet in that area no longer works either. I was told I'd get a Home Depot rebate card NEVER SAW THAT! I was also told I wasn't eligible for any other rebates to find that I was, and I missed out on it with my Gas company provider. I never received an invoice even after multiple request. Service techs have been out to replace faulty parts 3 times within the first few weeks of it being installed. I finally decided to just dispute the whole charge on my credit card. Then I had the displeasure of speaking with the Service Manager ROBIN. She called me 14 times in 4 hours, even after I stated to her that I was at work, talk about harassment! She got an invoice send over to me with just the total, no breakdown. For some reason Andy's doesn't want to give me the full breakdown, not sure what they are trying to hide. Said she'd look into why I hadn't received the Home Depot rebate card...something I've heard every time I've called since April and still nothing. I am on the edge of the cliff and ready for them to come get their crap out of my house. This is by far the worst company and customer service I have ever had to deal with in my life. I used a value pak coupon to have my AC serviced. It was for a tune up for $69. I knew I would need refrigerant too but wasn't too concerned -- how much could it be?? Well after cleaning the unit the tech produced an invoice with options for a service plan. The plan would have me pay $169 plus $60 more for one lb. of refrigerant ($100 more if I needed 2 lbs). So either $229 or $339 depending on my needs. If I didn't want the plan I would be charged the $69 service call and $215 for one lb or $301 for 2 lbs of refrigerant!!!!!!!!! Crazy While he was cleaning up I called a few other firms and the refrigerant was between $50-$80/lb. I asked him if he would service my unit at a more competitive price and after a call into the office I was given a quote of $200 (plus $69 service call) I paid him the $69 and got another firm to come the same day. They charged me $120 total. Should've called them first and saved the $69!! read more

He got upset when other companies showed up to provide quotes he went outside asking them when did I call them! then started telling them before they could come inside her furnace's are old. Avoid like the plague! I hired Andy's Statewide to come check my furnace, which had been installed by them in 2008 (only 9 years old). Upon inspection, the repairman stated that it might still be under warranty as many of their jobs are under warranty for 10 years. After checking, he tells me it was only under warranty for 5 years, and that the logic board that had failed would be $700 for the part and $150 for labor to replace. He stated that I may just want to consider replacing the whole furnace for $4,500. I told him I could get the part for $100 if they would install and he said " we don't do that." Called several local suppliers and part stores and couldn't find anywhere that charged more than $150 for this part and they were charging more than 4 times as much in addition to labor!! Also called a local supplier who told me that Andy's was notorious for overcharging customers and overselling. read more
