    Matcha Plover
    Jacquelyn M.

Stopped by Andytown Coffee Roasters while on a walk. I decided to order the matcha plover and was pleasantly surprised. It's a unique flavor and the cream adds a nice sweetness to the drink. I also tried the snowy plover and the flavor of the coffee was good. The service was friendly and quick. The shop itself is small, but has a nice outdoor sitting area to wait for your drink or to sit and chill.

Andytown will always be one of my top picks for coffee in San Francisco! We decided to come to this location since we were in the area. I picked up the Snowy Plover original and a bag of coffee beans. The Wind & Sea blend is always a solid pick. You also can't visit Andytown without trying the Snowy Plover, it's amazing and highly recommend getting it.

Friendly service. The coffee is great. I'm not a fan of the plover though. I decided to venture out to try a matcha latte. It was a bit sweet so I waited a while for the ice to dilute it! There was also little to no matcha flavor..

The snowy plover was really good, I highly recommend trying it. I definitely want to come back for the matcha version. This location was clean and had fast and friendly service. I'll be back next time I'm in the area for sure.

Andytown Coffee Roasters is a wonderful place to grab a drink! The service is usually pleasant and friendly, which makes each visit a treat. I recommend their matcha or the seasonal pumpkin spice latte--both are fantastic options. Recently, I tried their matcha plover, and while I'm usually not a fan of soda water, this drink was a game-changer. The mixture of matcha with lightly sweetened soda water topped with their house-made whipped cream was absolutely delicious and refreshing. It's unique & worth trying! You can also opt for the espresso version. Definitely a great place to stop by for quality drinks and has the whole aesthetic coffee shop vibe going on.

The original bird x2 and Iced vanilla with oat and brown sugar syrup

One of my favorite coffee spots to date in the Bay Area. I checked out a new location in Sunset district on a rainy Friday morning. We were quickly greeted by staff and welcomed in by the warm ambiance and decor. I like how we were able to see the coffee bean preparation in the back of the store, which added a historical and museum-like touch to the store. My companions both ordered the Original Bird. They thoroughly enjoyed their drink and thought the combination of soda and cream made a fun drink. 5/5 from both of them. My latte was delicious and perfectly sweetened by the syrup! I have a preference for not-to-sweet drinks, so I found it to my liking. It was also well balanced with the creamy oat milk . 5/5 as well. Overall a nice Andytown location with cute decorations! Once again not disappointed.

The original bird, matcha latte, and cheesie toastie

Staff were so incredibly friendly and good at giving recs, I tried the original bird for something new and it was really really good!! I got less sweet than typical bc I don't like my coffee too sweet and it was a great level for me plus the whipped cream was delish I wish the cup was full of it! My friends said the food was really good and I tasted the muffin it was really nice and soft plus a good banana flavor! Cute vibe but very small, the outdoor seating was nice tho in the back! Still not many seats tho so be prepped for that

We tried Andytown after seeing some "places to go in SF" Youtube video prior to our trip there. It was a short walk from our motel and on the way to our destination. We ordered a Pumpkin Spice latte (with oat milk and a hat on it) and a grilled cheese breakfast sandwich and it was so delicious we had to come back the next morning for another latte. I bought some beans and have yet to try them, so perhaps an update will be coming! This place can be overwhelming when it's busy (Friday morning) as it's quite small, so maybe order ahead! The baristas were friendly and even in the chaos and with a line, helped me pick some beans!

Small corner coffee shop with some bench seating inside and more seating outside. Coffee was good, music was good, staff seemed friendly and lively.

    Mrs. Rooiboson almond milk latte

Walk on the beach until you're too cold to think. Then follow the coffee smell into Andytown Coffee Roasters. I can't do caffeine, so I got a large Mrs. Rooiboson almond milk latte. Rooibos makes a great hot drink; the Herb gives not a kick, but a delightful sparkle. Combined with freshly steamed almond milk and now you have a big mug of warming joy to sip. Andytown gives you a discount when you remember to bring your own mug. Thoughtful seating is available in front and in back!

Kinda better in the memory of this place isn't one of the better locations in the city. They have two outdoor seating options and a tiny bench for indoor. This is perfect for people wanting to hang out over coffee (beach is super close though). Service was prompt.. I mean it's coffee right? Ordered the usual snowy plover, which wasn't as good as how I remembered it. Still the only drink I've tried and will continue to recommend at Andytown.

    Minty Mocha
    Julia P.

I tried the new Minty Mocha two days in a row. The first time I got it iced. 2/10 awful just tasted like a regular iced latte for $8.50, but I figured it might taste better hot and that could have been my mistake getting it iced. This time I got it hot & it was amazing 10/10. The flavor & richness of the drink. Definitely do not get it iced. But $8.50 with almond milk is crazy. $17 for 2 very overpriced but good!

Given a bag of Andytown "Shore Leave Hook" coffee beans. Andytown Coffee is Deeeelicious! Have been looking for a satisfying flavor and quality roast for years. Found it! Shore Leave Hook" blend coffee has me "'hooked'!"

Ask the Community - Andytown Coffee Roasters

Is the backyard area and/or indoor open as of sept 2022?

Yes, the back patio is open!

Is it dog friendly at the patio?

Only service dogs are allowed inside the building. Since you must enter the building to get to the patio, that area is off limits to non service dogs. The front of the building has a bench and dog bowl which is accessible to all. Dog treats are also… Read more

Staff is friendly and their gluten free brownie is pretty good. There are some tables but they are pretty small and the place gets busy. The coffee bar is open with the ability to see baristas making drinks as ordered with also a display for pastries to pair with the drinks. Service: The baristas were extremely friendly and diligent on getting drinks swiftly made to order, while also being knowledgeable and helpful with questions on the menu. Wait time: Less than 10 minutes between ordering of food / drink and it being ready when going at 10am on a Sunday. Matcha: The Velvet matcha had a good matcha flavor without being overly sweet and a good balance between ice and actual drink. The matcha foam that goes on top is also not excessive while providing a more deep flavor profile that the actual drink lacks a little in. They do also have lids on a side table to allow for you to take your drink on the go with both a straw option and sip lid built into the same top. The matcha crepe cake was okay but did not really have a strong matcha taste to it and the crepes themselves were not very flavorful either. For Presidio Heights, Q Specialty Coffee is a solid tasting matcha with plenty of natural lighting and a great place to catch up with friends or colleagues while enjoying a beverage.

Kudos to Eddie (the coffee roaster!) for all the hard work he's poured into making this business a cornerstone of Pacifica. That being said, I'll offer some tips: - Parking is crazy here if you arrive anytime after 10am on a weekend. You're competing with grocery outlet shoppers, surfers and people who want free parking to go to the beach - the wait can be really long on the weekend so ordering online helps, although they make the drinks on the spot so you will need to wait for that Personal recommendations! - the cliff side and Cubano are my go to drinks! - their Lox toast is legit! I've been to so many places to try their lox and this seriously is the best - it's loaded with lox and it is so flavorful. The salad dressing they use on their mixed greens is citrusy and is a perfect complement to the field greens

The good: Excellent food, great service. Fun, vibrant spot that highlights what the Pacifica dining…read morescene should be more like (and will hopefully become). Never a bad meal - we always order their breakfast dishes and coffee. Everything is high-quality and freshly made, so it's nice to support a local small business. We (as a family) tend to eat breakfast dishes + coffee beverages at least once a week at Soul Grind. The bad: There are a few laptop campers who take up larger tables. I saw an individual who was camped on a bench (the one by the register, made to accommodate 4 to 6 people) - they were sitting there alone (laptop, headphones on). It was clear they had been there for several hours, slowly drinking one beverage. Witnessed an elderly couple ask if they could sit there instead, and that person grabbed rudely their cup and moved it towards the end of the table, as if to say they weren't moving. I don't understand why individual remote workers can't sit at smaller tables, instead of inconsiderately taking up larger spots. Soul Grind should implement minimum party seating/time limits - individuals like this ruin the atmosphere/vibe.
