Maybe I had too high expectations but the coffee was just alright. Espresso a bit too undesirable of a sour. Americano a little watery. The ambiance is beautiful though. Inside a rustic roaster shop. The coffees were cute too. My family liked the vanilla paste and the flat white. I'm more of a purist so I never tried it. I would try to find another spot if I came back. Visited this stellar coffee establishment in SF recently. This is a HUGE spot with lots of seating (on 2 floors) and a working coffee roaster.. I really enjoyed the vibe of the cafe.. Unfortunately they were out of bakery items (we were visiting in the afternoon on a Saturday), will have to come back to try those. For coffee, my friend and I ordered a cappuccino and a flat white. The service was fairly quick but not sure why they served us in to-go cups when we were having it in the cafe. But, the coffee was delicious. Caution - this location does not offer wifi or outlets for those like me planning to work inside! (At least, not the downstairs area for outlets). I came in looking to do some work and I definitely wish I had known there was no free wifi or charging areas before having purchased a coffee and sandwich. Bummer. I ordered a vanilla latte - 2 stars. I wasn't a fan of their coffee overall and the serving was not full. Very interesting. For food, I got their chicken pesto and that too wasn't my favorite - chicken was a little dry but their sourdough was good. It was a sunny day in SF and it was really warm inside. Food: Sightglass has new breakfast items which honestly comes in a clutch! Their breakfast burrito with sausage is $11 and vegetarian ones are $10. It's decent but do not expect earth shattering experience. It will get the job done to get you through the morning though. My only complaint about the burrito is long wait. Today, I waited for it to be done but it took so long that my coffee got cold. If you aren't keen on chowing down on breakfast burrito.....then I'd recommend other items like almond financier and chocolate croissant. They have decent variety and you're bound to find one that calls out to you. For me, I went with almond financier bc the name suggests rich experience, and I was right! It tastes like Madeline pastry but with hint of sophistication and trust fund . The croissant is buttery and delicious. Plus, it's a good place to start if you're new to becoming a coffee noob. Ambulances: I like to go here in the morning as it's not too crowded. Morning also means ample seatings for you to pick, people watch, and pondering upon what the day might bring. Creamy masala chai latte! I usually get it hot but decided to try cold. I replaced regular milk with oat milk. The chai latte was super flavorful and you can taste the spice but wasn't too overwhelming. The chai latte went down creamy and smooth. I enjoyed it. Place was extremely busy, lines out the door. Decor/inside was very SF vibe. The baked items were pretty good too. Since it was busy, expect a bit of a wait for the line and for your drink, especially if you have coffee. Unfortunately the drinks I wanted to try sold out or more specifically they ran out of some key ingredients needed to be able to prepare those drinks. Even though I didn't get to try the miso caramel latte, I did enjoy the caramel latte which I had instead. I'm giving this place three stars because they don't have Wi-Fi and it's not very accessible . I come for weekday lunch here on occasion. This time, I tried the turkey club that I feel compelled to share about. The display sandwich already looked subpar but I decided to take a chance since I understood that my order would not be the display sample. The bread was decent, but the in between was indisputably skinny. May have been one slice of turkey, one strip bacon, meager tomato and greens.
