We had to split the full…read moreprocedure (AbEX, laser lipo of waist, hips, and pubic) into 2 sessions which was mildly disappointing but honestly so appreciated. My dr numbed aggressively which is why we had to split into two sessions...it ultimately came down to he wanted me to be comfortable for the procedure so he could do what he needed to do. The procedure itself was only mildly uncomfortable. No pain. Only the awkward discomfort of internal vibrating while he performed the numbing and lipo process. The maneuvering myself side to side on the table was also not painful. Once in a while I would feel a brief zing feeling that lasted for only a second and then was gone but overall, I carried conversation easily with him and the nurse the entire time. The recovery has been good as well. I feel like I've done the most intense oblique workout of my life, but otherwise it's more deep tissue soreness than pain. The dr told me I had deep stubborn fat when he started so this was to be expected. Nonetheless I was down the day of the procedure, loopy from meds but was up and interacting with family all weekend after. I did take it easy, resting when necessary and not lifting anything heavy. I tend to push my body too aggressively in healing so it's important to slow down and listen to yours. The first shower was challenging as I was just hesitant with my muscle tightness and soreness and the tiny incision points but everything went well. Overall step 1 of 2 went well and I am as hopeful for part two -- the actual AbEX and such. The team was great. The dr and nurses were supportive and helpful the entire way and the dr took time to continuously ask how I was doing throughout the procedure which I appreciated.
