REVIEW UPDATE: Previous experience with owner Noelle was good. However, this day was different. 1st time going to her to get medium boxed braids. I brought hair, and apparently, it was too long. Not realizing it would make a difference. She brought out the hair she sells to show the difference. I asked her the price of the hair she sells, and she told me. She also advised that I needed gel and told me the price of that as well. I'm assuming she was frustrated by this because she said to me, "I've had this for over 5 years!" (Been going there for less than 7mos). I apologized for mot seeing this on the site when I booked the appt. She says to me, "If you want, we could just reschedule!" Told her."No, I don't want to do that!" I'd left work early to get my hair done. I wasn't going to reschedule. As she's getting stuff ready to prepare braiding, out the blue, she got really snippy with me and says, "forget it, the hair is free and the gel is free!' WOOOWW!!!! I told her that's not necessary, I will pay for everything, that was NOT my intention. Wasn't trying to piss her off, but there we were. Fast frwd her finishing up, she asked me if I wanted her to grease my scalp, although after spending over $300, I felt that should have been part of the service, I told her no. I was so blown away by the way she came at me earlier, I wanted to leave just as much as she did. She didn't even offer to spray my hair like she did her previous client before me. I was really bothered by this interaction with Noelle. She was pleasant, talkative, and helpful in the previous times she's done my hair. Maybe I just caught her on a bad day. I was hoping to find a really good hair salon and when I came across this page on Yelp I was amazed by all the reviews and pictures I had seen. When I finally had the time, I wanted to see the salon and feel the vibe. BOY DID I FEEL THE VIBE REAL QUICK!! I called first and no one answered. I found their IG page and seen in the bio to "book an appointment text" and it gives a number. I went on ahead and text them before I just showed up at a hair salon. After waiting some time whoever was in charge of the phone hits me back with a "Sure." I should have been on high alert with a response like that because it wasn't a professional reply. I drove down to the address that was on this page and I couldn't find it. I didn't see a sign that had the name of the salon. I walked around the plaza and I didn't feel comfortable walking inside of the building. I then text back asking if this was the address and not even a minute later the person hits me back with a why do I need to know where the salon is?????? I was so heated because why tf else would I asked to come take a look at the salon?!?!? If you don't have my number saved clearly you don't know me. Update: I waited to post the review because I wanted to calm down and see if I liked my hair a few days later or so. Less than a week and my hair is already unraveling. Definitely it worth $175. Also big parts with small twists. My hair didn't look full. Once again not worth $175. Wanted to try someone new just in case she just didn't know how to do hair but will find a different braider. The search continues. Last update: have had the twists in for about 3 weeks and they will be coming out early. Had a few ppl tell me my hair looked sloppily done and it was. My boyfriend looked through my hair before the 3 week mark and pieces were unraveled. Pieces of my real hair was left out. Parts were sloppy and very loose. Please think very carefully before u get ur hair done here especially by Noelle. U have been warned. I've been going to my usual braider who braids out of her house for over 6 years and she she does amazing work why I've been going to her for so long. She is currently taking a break til next year so I had to find another braider. So I took to yelp and saw Angelic Hair studio. I booked for the first time getting my hair straightened and trimmed. My hair looked fine after I finished but once I got to my car and really looked at it I was disappointed that I paid $88. My family and boyfriend was shocked by how badly it came it. I had to pay someone else to press it the very next day since I originally got my hair done for my birthday and my boyfriend was taking me out to dinner. I tipped that first time and regretted it. I was think ok maybe the girl isn't good at straightening hair but might be a better braider. I needed a hair braider the most since I get my hair braided 5-6 times a year. Friends and family told me not to go back and find someone else, but I really wanted my hair done so against my better judgement I booked another appointment but for kinky twists. She also charges $15 more than my normal braider which is fine I'm all about quality no matter the price. She finishes my hair and I pay and tip and I rush out too fast and then I think she forgot to dip my hair. I txt her and she says she doesn't dip kinky twists. Everyone salon and person I've ever been too always dips their kinky twists and braids. So I get annoyed that I'll have to go home and dip my own hair. The whole ride home I'm getting angrier and angrier since I hate wasting money and have been disappointed with my hair twice now. I won't be going back a third time. The woman who did my hair both times was Noelle. Her hair looked really nice. But another braider did it. Unfortunately I won't be going back to see if the other braiders are good or not cuz of the current track record. U live and u learn. I would definitely call and ask questions before booking ur appointment if that would even help. read more

I am highly disappointed in this hair salon. Especially since i had heard "good " things about this salon. I would give a ZERO if i could based off my personal experience! I booked an appointment last tuesday 10/13/20 . The owner Noelle states in the text to be on time , and tells me who the stylist i would be booked with. which i am a prompt person anyways. well Tuesday rolls around, im getting off the freeway at 9:10 and my appointment is at 9:30. The stylist calls me to tell me that she is "so sorry, but she doesnt have a way to gwt into the shop" Im like what do you mean? like why dont you have keys and why wont someone come and open up for you. she tells me she was on the phone with the owner noelle and she also called the other girls who have keys and that no one could come open up for her. Im like i was already gettin off the freeway, i was going to be there in 10 mins. she says nobody would tell her why they couldnt come open up that they just couldnt . she said she didnt know she had to let the owner know that she had an appointment for tuesday because she is the one that booked me for her. she offered to come to my house and "flat iron" my hair , and i told her no that i was paying for the deep conditioning and silk press and that would not be the same, and im not getting what i would have been paying for. she apologized again. as i was driving back home i called the number where i texted to book my appointment , and discovered it was the owners number, and i discussed how i felt about everything. she claims that that has never happened before and that she is sorry and that she couldnt leave because she was in LA doing hair. then it changed to "well i will just pack up my stuff and come do your hair myself" i said i didnt ask you to leave where you're at you're already all the way out there and i'm already on my way home. she said if i could just wait an hour for her to come and she will do my hair. it wasnt even so much about that anymore. it was about my day and time was scheduled around me getting my hair done and bc of poor communication, now they thought i would think it would be okay to be on someone elses time. thats not fair to me . she finally offered me a free service. to come back today 10/20/20. So i go today 10/20/20 when i tell you the whole vibe was off to me. it was off. i felt like i was being treated some type of way that had nothing tf to do with me. how does you and your stylist fk up, cause you to act like you aint really want to do my hair. when i get there she asked me if i was there for a flat iron. i said NO! i am here for what i was suppose to get done last week a deep conditioning and silk press, she says "okay a flat iron" like wtf. a flat iron and a silk press is not the same thing. and a press to me in general you need to use a pressing comb. if i wanted to get a flat iron originally thats what i would have asked for and that is not what i asked for and it is what she chose to do because she felt like it . like of you are going to offer to do a free service to a client. a first time client based off not their wrong doings then be genuine in it. or dont offer it to me at all. then i felt like the shampoo and stuff she used on my hair were cheap. she used suave, like wtf. my hair still looked and felt dry after washing and conditioning. and at no point was it a deep condition or a silk press at all. the blow dry she did was not a good blow dry, so she had to sit me under the dryer again. like and in the end after i paid for a trim, she takes the next client and was so perky and welcoming to her, but did NOT show that kind of hospitality to me at ALL! she also offered her something to drink. and she did not fix her mouth to offer me anything at all. even if i didnt want anything, its like you offered both the client that was there when i got there, and the client that came after me a drink and not me? thats really rude and says alot. like im treated a certain way bc you felt you had to offer me a free service because of bad communication and the stylist was not able to perform the service that i had fully intended to pay for last week. i didnt ask for no hand out or anything free. the owner NOELLE offered, and if she wasnt goin' to be sincere about it and make me feel like she didnt really care to do my hair in the first place, i would have never gone. i got my un-satisfying "flat-iron" . she told me she was going to offer me a free service of what i was intending to pay last week, and it was NOT full filled at all. i did NOT receive a deep condition ot silk press. what she did was a lousy "flat iron" and i could feel in the middle of my head that before flat ironing my hair should have been blow dried better. highly dis-appointed and will NOT be going back , or recommend . read more
