We went into Angelina's because my bf wanted to treat his grandma to a nice dinner after shopping in the area. Angelina's was a good find in the mall area. We were promptly seated. While we reviewed the menu, they brought out some bread with whipped ricotta and honey. Honestly a nice change of pace than the usual olive oil dip. I decided to go with a pesto shrimp pasta, my bf got the busiata Norma (an eggplant pasta with red sauce). I don't quite recall what his grandma got unfortunately but she did enjoy her meal. I liked my pistachio pesto pasta but I have to ding some points for the lack of salt in it as well as only having 4 pieces of shrimp. Nice interior decor, cozy restaurant. We ordered a margarita, buffalo style pizza, and the ham, mushroom, artichoke pizza. Thin style pizza made fresh, but the bottom of my margarita pizza was burnt, bottom of the spicy buffalo was just right very soft and pillowy. Service was a 2. No waiters came to check on us to refill our waters and when we asked it took sometime for it to come. They could've given us a water pitcher and we would be happy to serve it ourselves. I asked the waiter for the dessert menu he said he will bring it but instead was busy cleaning up the other tables. Priority wasn't there... why have paying customers sit and wait? came here last night, our waitress was amazing. i didn't get her name but we were seated outside and she addressed immediately some smoking that was bothering me. for an appetizer we got an insalata di polpo which seemed generous in portion to me. everything tasted very fresh. we wanted to get a tuna tarte but they ran out of that - so i guess it has to be good. the pizza was amazing, they put a lot of toppings. i ordered the orecchiette with broccolini and sausage, it wasn't spicy - just had a little kick to it and that was good because i didn't want anything too heavy last night. it did taste a little oily and i could see the olive oil at the bottom of the bowl but i wouldn't say that was a con. for dessert we got the lemon & hazelnut gelato which was also delicious. they filled the whole cup and the cookie was so cute. read more

For a strip that is very high- steak was good but for a simple non grilled steak not worth the $54 Flourless choc cake was tasty but had so much powdered sugar on it wven my 7 yr old complained and was trying to take sugar off Server was nice but for a not crazy busy Tues not attentive either. My kid spilled her water which they immediately brought towels for which was good, but then they never replaced her water had to wait nearly 15 min to even see waiter again to remind him my kid spilled her water and still needs a refill. On a slow night that is not acceptable at $50 a person Finally and most uncomfortable were the tables for an large open area design they packed tables in so close my wife had trouble even fitting into her chair with table behind us. Wow ! What a total surprise this place turned out to be. One of my coworkers had told me to try this spot for the longest time. Ive tried to come without rsvps once and it was packed. So i finally made a last min rsvp for our date night and man, we were blown away! First of all, their decor is SO pretty. I cant forget to mention they serve you warm bread with what might be ricotta cheese and honey. Ive never had ricotta cheese with honey but it tasted so good yet so simple! The mussels were huge and taste so clean! No sandy feeling and the sauce paired nicely. Not to mention it was such a large portion so we were surprised. We also got the branzino filet and raviolis. Both were delicious. And we couldnt leave without trying their pizza (i think thats what my coworker had raved abt when he recommended this place). We got the bee sting pizza and it did not disappoint. Mind you, we ordered all this food btwn my partner and i, we only took home 3 slice of pizza cos we cleaned our plates of the rest lol Also, if you are in the mood of something nice and strong but still sweet enough. We stopped in on 6/11/2026 although the staff was friendly the food was God Awful, we had a group of 10 or 12 3 of my friends ordered the same thing, Pappardelle Bolognese, I was going to order it but I ordered one of their specials, Tagliatelle with mushrooms & sausage RAGU, one person just ordered soup some ordered chicken Parm that wasn't listed on the menu. so the food arrives 1st some bread which was ok, it was cold usually in any Italian Restaurant the bread always comes warm now for the dishes themselves my friends soup was good but it wasn't soup ir was more like risotto, no liquid, the chicken Parm my friends said was just OK. Now why 1 star my Tagliatelle had absolutely no flavor at all even after adding gratted cheese so I asked my friend hot his Pappardelle was he said not good and to try it, I went to take one of the noodles and it was stuck to the other ones and it was 8 or 10 inches long and the texture was terrible kind of gummy not al dented, his dish tasted only slightly better than mine. I felt that my first review may have been a bit harsh because they had just opened. Plus their Staten Island restaurant is so good that they may have been just having a bad night. Well I was wrong. This was even worse. I ordered a Linguini dish that was horrible. It was supposed to be a crab sauce finished with shrimp bisque. I have no clue what it really was. And I'm OK with al dente pasta but I don't think this was in the water for 2 minutes. It was so undercooked that it was too stiff to twirl around the fork. My sons favorite restaurant on Staten Island!! The service is always on point. They also donate food to a local charity for kids with special needs around Easter time. WE LOVE A RESTAURANT THAT GIVES BACK!!! I had the tagliatelle al Parmigiano... I added shrimp, cheese, and a little pepper. It was delicious! You know a restaurant is a good place when you see the same wait staff working their for years. I'm not a fan of all of the dishes but I can definitely recommend the ravioli with the eggplant, the pizza, of course the bread, the spaghetti vongole pachino, and the fritters di calamari as an appetizer. The servers were all incredibly friendly and have such great personalities, making them very fun to socialize with! The ambiance is also very warm and welcoming. The food, however, could definitely be improved. The soup had so much pasta in it that the liquid because overly starchy and not soupy at all, which was unfortunate because the flavor was pretty decent. The alla vodka was way too tough, making it uncomfortable to eat at the restaurant, but was more edible the next day after nuking it in the microwave. The chicken Alfredo was also pretty bland unfortunately. The best dish we had so far was the free bread that accompanied our meal, which comes with a side of honeyed-butter, which was delicious! This restaurant definitely has potential, so I hope they'll put more effort on improving these few dishes! Unfortunately, this place is not as expected, and feel bad for the staff but I have to be honest about my review wifey wanted to go out for dinner. I Wanted to show her a nice time. Unfortunately she picked this place. Waited a long time for our food. The salad smelled and tasted like fish so I couldn't finish it Most likely they're doing a poor job of washing the dishes waited a long time for a small 12 inch pizza that was undercooked soggy and had no taste. I was hungry so I ate some of it didn't want to spoil my wife's night out so I didn't say a thing to the waiter when they asked me, "how was the food" I suffered for three days with upset, stomach and diarrhea. The food was served family-style, and I tried everything: Margherita pizza, Caesar salad, calamari, rice balls, salmon, and sangria. While everything tasted delicious, I got sick afterwards. A coworker called me to ask if I was okay, as she also fell ill. After contacting other coworkers, we found that many of them were also sick. Cool place to check out, but is it worth the price... Once you walk in you are greeetd by some lovely staff members. Most looked young, and very happy. I thought it was strange, you don't normally get a nice welcome when you go to a busy place, and by young kids. I have to commend the staff here; they do a great job of making your stay very pleasant and enjoyable. Second thing you notice is the decor. It is decorated with some unique fixtures, and it makes you feel like you're in an Italian restaurant. They have a pretty big dining area, and a good size bar with high-top seating. What really got to me was the menu and pricing. The menu is not huge, but it has all the offerings you need for a nice Italian meal. Their specialty is their unique pizzas. Different pizzas that hit different aspects of your taste buds. To make a long story short, I had: -Homemade courtesy bread with a side of ricotta with honey for dipping - It was nice and enjoyable, but not fresh made. -Fried calamari appetizer - Did not like at all. It was a long strand of fried calamari which made me question if it's real or fake. The pics on Yelp show the normal oval shaped calamari with the tentacles. ALSO, it came with fried vegetables. The menu did not say it comes with that. PLUS, that takes away from the quantity of the fried calamari. So I'm paying for half fried calamari and half fried vegetables! -Arugula salad with grilled chicken - Decent, nothing spectacular. -Bee Sting Pizza with mushrooms (extra $) - Nothing to brag about. It has a spicy kick from the sopresata, and the sweetness of the honey. The dough and sauce were bland. I added the mushrooms thinking it would offset the spiciness, BUT where were the mushrooms?!?!?! I paid extra money on top of the expensive pizza, and I feel cheated again. -Bacio Gelato - Pretty good Italian gelato. Probably the best thing of the meal. A salad with grilled chicken, fried calamari & vegetable appetizer, a pizza pie and gelato costed a total of $75!!! No drinks by the way. On top of the expensive menu, this business charges an EXTRA 3.75% on your bill if you use a debit/credit card. Overall, this business knows how to take your money. I wish the food was something to brag about for the money you're shelling out. The staff is superb, and they all need raises. We went here for the first time last night for dinner. I ordered an iced tea and when she brought it out, I asked her is this ice tea it was so watered down. You would've never thought it was iced tea and could barely taste the tea. I sent it back and I just got water, I ordered my dish. It was a Margarita pizza that had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. You could taste the tomato sauce but the cheese maybe they use skim but literally it had no taste and I had to put a lot of salt on just to taste. A couple sitting next to us got a Sicilian pie that was a joke. The dough was about 2 inches high and and I think they used a basting brush painted a thin layer of sauce over the crust for coloring purposes then threw on some disgusting cheese that had zero flavor. . Would I ever be back absolutely not. We were telling our friends about the experience who had been once before as well and they told us they were very disappointed as well, and these friends are 2nd generation Italian as well as my boyfriend. They do a great job shading patrons from the sun with the umbrellas, the spacing is right, and it's a good vibe altogether. The bathroom was clean however I recommend they get touch-less soap dispensers and dryers. Food wise; I loveddddddd the fried calamari, fried shrimp, pizza and truffle fries. Liked the lasagna. I heard about Angelina's kitchen for years but never tried it. My husband and I decided to try this restaurant. Reservations were accepted . We did not have one but they accommodated us very quickly. We got our bread with honey and ricotta mix. It was vey good. We had a arugula salad . It was good. We ordered Diet Coke. We both tasted the soda. At first I thought it tasted different but wasn't sure. After a while my glucose meeting went up to 350!! I hadn't eaten yet. My husband who is also diabetic realized his was rising quickly. I called the waitress and asked her if it was diet she said yes. It wasn't. She said I can bring you the can and she should have from the beginning. Then our meal came . It wasn't ok but not much of a portion. My husband had the pasta with Bolognese sauce. He said it was a bit tasteless. Not enough pasta. I ended up given him have of my chicken. All in all I only can give it three stars. Service good 1 star, no waiting 1 star. Food was average 1 star. Don't think I would go back. I have been to many restaurants and the portions were much bigger and less money. I feel terrible that I had to write such a review.
