I've been eyeing this restaurant for a while, and today was finally the perfect occasion--Father's Day! We made an early reservation and were greeted with a warm welcome. We chose to dine on the first floor, which has a chic, elegant vibe with beautiful décor and a relaxing ambiance. There was a special set menu for the day, and the selections did not disappoint. I had the Burrata Salad followed by the Branzino--both were fresh and flavorful, and the portions were huge! I couldn't even make a dent in my main dish. My husband enjoyed the crepes and the seafood linguine, and he was just as impressed. The kids' menu was a cute touch, especially with the clever dish names. When I asked my 10-year-old what she was having and she replied, "I don't care," I was caught off guard--until I looked at the menu and saw that "I Don't Care" was actually the name of the mac and cheese! So creative and fun. Drinks were great too--strong and satisfying for my husband, and I was happy to see a solid mocktail selection for non-drinkers like me. The only downside? There were only two dessert options available. I was hoping for a bit more variety, especially since everything else exceeded expectations. Overall for NYC it's a good 4 but a 5 for that area of Staten Island. Everything is very good. Food, Service, Portions, Value, Staff, etc. This is the first pasta with meat sauce I've had in a loooong time that actually have meat in its sauce. Posting a pic. This restaurant is truly underrated and deserves far more recognition. We chose it to celebrate my parents' 50th wedding anniversary, and it could not have been more perfect. The space itself is beautiful, warm, and inviting, and the staff was absolutely amazing attentive, kind, and genuinely invested in making the night special from start to finish. The chef and owners were incredibly accommodating, which made such a meaningful celebration feel effortless. We had a banquet-style, family-style feast, and the food was nothing short of impeccable. The spread was abundant and thoughtfully prepared: assorted cold cuts, shrimp, seafood salads, fresh vegetables and salads, tuna tartare, potatoes with mushrooms, crepes filled with chicken and mushrooms, skirt steak, lamb chops and so much more. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. There was truly an abundance of food, and every bite was delicious. We even danced my parents hired a DJ and the atmosphere was filled with joy, love, and celebration. It was one of those nights you don't forget. A wonderful experience all around. The kharsho soup was ruined by an overwhelming amount of dill the taste of the soup itself was completely lost. At best it was mediocre.The so called Kobe beef sliders were terrible way too salty, dry and definitely not Kobe beef. The calamari was inedible so tough it couldn't be chewed like a rubbery taste The only thing worth eating was the beef tartare. Cocktails were weak and below average. The servers were genuinely kind and attentive, but it's painfully obvious that the owners and the chef have no idea what they're doing. read more

Bruschetta with Heirloom Tomatoes and Pesto Cream Cheese - fresh Italian bread with soft melting pesto infused cream cheese topped with sweet tomatoes. Great! Entrees Lamb chops - perfectly cooked to order, juicy, and flavorful. And the portion was surprisingly generous. Branzino Fillet - I ordered it grilled and it came with perfect grill cross-stripes. Fish was fresh and not dry as Branzino may be. Asparagus on the side was done perfectly. Desserts Family Recipe Cheesecake with Sicilian Orange Confit - this was not a classic cheesecake, but was indeed special as promised by our waiter. It was softer and lighter than regular, melting in the mouth. Orange confit on the top was also delicious. Pistachio Cannoli - we got them with pistachio filling and they were perfect. First time here. Food was good. Service was very slow. Place is beautiful. Menu is different. It has a little bit of everything. We were seated upstairs. They had a dj playing music which was nice. What was cute, but I could tell the table next to us was annoyed, in the back of the room They had a little play area for kids. If you're going to have that then put the table that's closest to the play area with the children's parents!! instead they seated a different couple next to the play area so there were kids running back-and-forth. Our reservation was for 8 o'clock so kids should not have been in that dining area playing in the play area at 8:30 at night. The parents of the children were seated three tables away, not watching their children. I could tell the diners sitting at the table near the play area were annoyed. Overall it was ok. I can't say enough good things about this new and soon to be at the top of the food chain restaurant. From the moment they greet you, you realize that they are on a mission to make you feel at home. The restaurant having just opened and only recently brought back to life, resembles a Romanian palace. The attentiveness is extraordinary. You need only glance up from your plate for a servers attention. The food? Chef's creations are outstanding and well thought out, presented as such and just make you crave more. I'm not a dessert person, but I admit to having the best dessert of my life here. Needless to say, I highly recommend this restaurant. My boyfriend surprised me with this dinner for my birthday and I was so impressed. We sat in the main dining room and the lighting, view and decor set a romantic and cozy vibe. All of the servers were so kind and attentive, not once was my water glass empty before being refilled which I really appreciated. Everything we had was delicious. We started with the blue point oysters which came with an amazing mignonette and the tuna tartar which was a big portion size and even the avocado base was packed with flavor. For entrees I had the veal chop Milanese which was incredible, a huge portion, perfectly crispy on the outside and tender inside and topped with a delicious brown gravy. My boyfriend had the lobster linguine which was very good, on the creamier side with a nice portion of lobster. For dessert we shared the fried ice cream which was cold but still so crispy and flavorful and the ice cream was creamy. My passion fruit foam martini was amazing, I loved the texture of the foam paired with the tart and sweet passion fruit. The espresso martini is one I would skip though, very bitter and not worth the $18 price tag. Looking forward to my next trip back! read more

We were a group of five and went to Mansion for an early Sunday dinner. The hostess was welcoming, and we immediately liked the ambience. We ordered several apps for the table and each got our own entrée. Everything was amazing--the burrata and tartare were fantastic, and my branzino was perfectly done. The buckwheat side my friend got blew me away, so much so that I asked the chef for the recipe, and he was kind enough to share it. Beautiful place, just what Staten Island needed. The food was excellent. Only downsides were, the martinis were small (not a big deal though), we were upstairs and the music started pumping so LOUD at 8pm that we couldn't even hear eachother. Our waiter never came to us to see if we wanted another drink, or to bus our table when we were done. We had to find him, even for our check. Other than that, we can't fault the restaurant. This was an amazing experience! My wife and I had lunch here. The ambiance was very calming and opulent! We emerged into 1920s art deco mansion with beautiful interior. The owners really paid a lot of attention to every detail. Food was fantastic. We ordered Tuna tartar and octopus salad for start and pan seared branzino and salmon for main. The tuna tartar was gone in seconds. It was very delicious!! The branzino, to die for! The Ambiance, very quaint, there was no need to have the AC temp setting at a point where 1 couple left after there appetizers, I finally asked the staff to raise the temperature, so myself and my wife could take off our Coats . Left right after the main course without dessert because of the lengthy time between courses . And the waiter took forever to get a 2nd cocktail. When our food finally arrived the waiter informed us that one dish (risotto) wasn't available and asked if we would want pasta instead. We said no and he randomly brought a dish over and said would you like this. When we asked what it was, the waiter replied "I don't know"! She winded up eating a house salad for dinner. We weren't the only table that was upset, there were a few. Someone did speak with us after we asked to see someone. The place is beautiful and the staff were all warm and welcoming, and made us feel very much at home. We went to eat here at their grand opening and we were greeted with a glass of Prosecco each, and a rose for me. This was such a nice touch. All the food we were served was delicious. From appetizers to main course to dessert. My husband's Zuppa de Pesce was full of so much fish from shellfish to salmon and well worth it, and my branzino was deliciously prepared. We were served some complimentary appetizers as well which were all delicious..and to finish off a homemade cheesecake that was just perfect..a cross between American and Italian and topped with delicious candied orange peel. Service was stellar. The only bump in the road was that our main course came out with our appetizers..but all was forgiven..if that was the worst that happens while getting the kinks out in day one it's all good. I hope they stay around for a long time..I see no reason that they should not if they keep up this pace. read more
